Finally a workout app for women that s about building strength not sex appeal Spitfire offers structured workout plans at multiple levels of skill and training frequency There are women demonstrating each exercise within the app and those women are real athletes not fitness models You can record the weight used and easily go back and review past workouts to see if you re increasing your weights I ve completed 3 workout plans the Fighter the Heroine and the Climber Whereas the fighter is a more traditional weights session the Heroine is a short body weight only circuit that I used to complement running Most advanced was the Climber which had pull up variations for days and where I saw my most rewarding strength gains All 3 programs were high quality If I had a suggestion for improvement it s to list the approximate amount of time the workouts take in the program description Some take longer than my available time one hour Although sometimes I could just shrink one or two sets other times I just switched to a shorter duration program the next gym session                     Great app great community Cj4321xyz
I am so happy I found this app I am turning 50 years old and find my body shape and strength needing a boost At my gym I asked about personal training The cost PER SESSION ranged from 35 60 depending on the amount of time spent with them If I did the equivalent time with a trainer at a cost of 50 per hour just a middle of the road cost Compare that to the time using this app 1 hour 6x per week The price difference is 50 x 6 hours x 12 weeks 3600 The price for PRO is 109 99 109 99 72 sessions 1 52 PER SESSION The app has pictorial video and written instructions in how to do each exercise If you don t want to pay there are free workouts with the same instruction format Download and give it a try You will be happy                     Great personal training for a great cost aregan1999

The app itself is well designed They have many plans but you have to upgrade to paid Pro version to see any of them There s only two free workout plans a gym one and a bodyweight one that have the most simple basic things on there it s not even worth having the app for those bare bones basic plans The gym one has like squats day one rest day two squats again Nothing new nothing helpful just lame thumbs down     You get nothing for free and it s hella expensive lizNotSpendingThatMoney

I used to row D1 and am trying to get back in shape This app is phenomenal clearly by athletes for people aspiring to be athletes Great for all levels I wish there were more plans but it s a young app Updated to add now that I ve worked through more of the plans I ve noticed a fair number of bugs Most don t affect the workout for instance the HIIT time counters stop dinging after 8 minutes and you can t tick off individual exercises But in the Fighter workout for the gym there are several workouts that force the app to restart You can t actually read the workout plan If these bugs get fixed I d definitely rate this 5 stars             Great workouts but buggy Vikki McDowell

This app is fantastic for keeping a consistent strength training schedule I did a 12 week gym program that kept me going to the gym through the winter It was exciting to watch the increase in weight and feel stronger Most recently when I open the app it provides a button to update which takes me to iTunes App Store there s only an Open button which takes me to the app the update message No way to get around it Help                     Awesome app but caught in update loop Bingo baby!

I love the structure of the workouts and how it even includes photos and videos to depict the exercises I love the logo as well perfect fit This app has some room to grow but can only get better Please allow the user to go back and edit workouts Once you complete and save a workout you cannot return to edit it For example I was not aware you could swipe each exercise to the right and add the weights Additionally I neglected to check off some the cool down exercises and would like to be able to go back and update the entire workout Please add more workouts I think diversity is just the thing to keep people interested Lastly please add nutritional information diet plans and information on supplements I have a good general idea of what to eat but it would be nice to get that extra support I am interested in taking supplements but am afraid of what I m putting into my body Please add information on taking supplements for women e g brands ingredients how they work when to take them etc Thank you                 Spitfire is amazing Danie Can

Spitfire is a fantastic weight training app that is beautifully designed and accessible as a tool for a wide range of women beginners and more experienced users alike As a CrossFitter I love that 1 all the workouts are designed by women who walk the talk 2 the workouts are easy to select and 3 you can track your progress in the app No need to bring notebooks or worry about remembering a certain exercise when confronted by all the guys hogging the weights at the gym A must have app                     For women by women EKat101

Really love the app and the challenge that comes with using it to work out Only two gripes 1 I hate that even after starting a plan you still have to scroll through all the introductory info every single time you go to log your workout 2 The timer is pretty ineffective Would love to see it correspond with the workout itself or at least go off in 30 second increments Takes away from the workout when you have to constantly look at the timer bc it remains silent or dings in awkward intervals Overall though I love the app and can t wait to see it grow change and improve                 Love It bmariew

This is a solid app made by female engineerslifters and I have yet to run across any hiccups I am in the second week of the Champion Physique Training Plan and as someone who has been casually lifting and noticed stalled progress Ive learned what Ive been doing wrong not enough reps and not enough rests between intervals The images are instructive and helpful and videos are available if more explanation is needed The training plan is hard but thats okay because thats how I know Im doing it correctly This app is also visually attractive with no distracting ads and Im certainly okay with pulling my phone out and referring to it as Im working I am still sore as I type this                 Just as good if not better than a personal trainer

Its been a few years and 30 pounds but this is the closest Ive come to working with a personal trainer in a long time Using body weight alone I just worked harder in 30 minuteswarmup to cool downthan I did in 60 minutes at the gym last night Not for absolute beginners you have to know basics like how to do a squat a burpee a plank tuck jump and so on Not saying you have to be able to do them You can build up to that But you do need to know what youre trying to do although there are great tips and video links if youre a little rusty Adding a builtin timer is genius BTW                 Surprised how good this is

If you want a workout plan but are either too lazy to make one yourself ahem or dont know where to begin and dont want to pay for a pricey one somewhere online this app is PERFECT Im currently using a 12week plan and I am seeing serious definition already in week 3 I cant wait to finish and see what else is in store I cant recommend Spitfire enough                 Love it You gotta try it

This app is by far the best app I have ever used for fitness Its also the only app that i have wanted to commit to I also love how I see results Another thing I love how you can also use it without going to the gym The only thing I wish you would add is a way for it to remind you Other than that I Love it                 I actually see results
Really love the app and the challenge that comes with using it to work out Only two gripes 1 I hate that even after starting a plan you still have to scroll through all the introductory info every single time you go to log your workout 2 The timer is pretty ineffective Would love to see it correspond with the workout itself or at least go off in 30second increments Takes away from the workout when you have to constantly look at the timer bc it remains silent or dings in awkward intervals Overall though I love the app and cant wait to see it grow change and improve              Love It

I truly love this fitness app Due to an injury I have been unable to run and decided that Id try my hand at weight lifting Although well versed in training for endurance runs I knew nothing of how to begin training with weights I decided to do a simple search for an app and stumbled upon Spitfire The fact that the app treats me as an athlete and not someone seeking to look like a celebrity is really refreshing I love being able to choose my routines and see my progress Kudos to the developers of this software It makes things so easy for me In the future I would love to see maybe the ability to create your own workouts using the exercises already provided Also if the timers could make a noise after the time is completed I would like that as well I cant say enough good things about this app and I love how strong I am getting              Great App
App Excellent design the timers are controlled by you as you easily review the next exercise and move into it I can play my music in the background and still hear the timer Heroine Physique Training Plan I sweat like crazy and the exercises are simple enough to work you out and keep good form without checking your phone every 5 seconds to see if youre keeping up or doing it right You have the freedom and sometimes energy to add in a few extra moves to really burn it out I sometimes add in some extra Pilates moves As a stay at home twentysomething mom with 3 babes in 3 years this is perfect Well well done ladies                 Loooooove the way this app works me out
I love this app It is way more than I expected it to be Its organized so well and really easy to navigate Im glad that it has options strength or physique gym or weightless Ive had trouble getting Ito weight training Im so strictly cardio and this app has given me much needed support an variety for my workout routine It would be really awesome if there were flexibility training                 Shocked
The beauty of the design and user flow actually inspires me to workout more It is like the quality of the experience is what my body deserves and I shouldnt slack off and miss a workout                 Inspiring experience
