Dialog is cute but beyond tedious As is the control scheme as well as the game in general I am forcing myself to continue but I dont think Ill finish it Update just got to level 9 wow awful uninstalled     Obnoxious controls

its hard not enjoyable on an iphone screen especially level 9 not worth the exasperation     platformer timing

I love that indie game designers can follow their vision and release unique things I love variety and the joy of discovery And I wanted SO badly to like this game after the creators friends touted it so much on podcasts and seeing the gorgeous screenshots But I dont and Ill explain why The flaws are SO pervasive and fundamental that I question how anyone could give it a 100 positive review They might like the game yesbut I dont see how even a fan could overlook the problems Ill start positive Fantastic art and sound Some of the best most wellsuited music Ive seen in a game Interesting UI ideas Effective retro scifi theme Certain levels are different from what youd expect showing real creativity The passion of the creators for their craft is evident But like some movies its a brilliant failure The negative Writing and story is not as good as it thinks it is I think the creators were too close to it and needed to take a step back It fails to make you care which could be OK except it clearly wants you to And the humor falls flat and then gets downright annoying as you sit through unskippable forgettable quips It probably seemed hilarious at 3AM but at most it delivers the occasional smile And again its clearly trying SO hard But forget the storyeven a great story with LucasArtscalibre writing wont cut it if the gameplay is poor And Im sorry to say it is poor Player movement varies from OK to terrible but never feels effortless and fun Movement is insanely slow which is death to a game that calls for endless walking back and forth It always looks like you can go places you cant maybe a visible grid would help and the pathfinding often takes the long way around for no reasonsometimes to your death Its maddening sometimes just trying to move through certain levels And the black fog of war means you spend forever just unveiling each level you entermost of which is irrelevant so thats just busywork The abominable and arbitrary puzzles are frustrating and unsatisfyingeven when you succeed They lack progression they dont build on your experiences to make a unified whole theyre often like unrelated oneoff tasks that happen to use the same engine and with the game having so few levels it just feels like you are not getting a unified whole experience Plus the puzzles dont always play fair or lack feedback Why did you fail why did you succeed Often you have no idea Why does an enemy spot you Sometimes it seems to be distance or direction they are facing other times it seems to be random luck Sometimes you did the right thing it just didnt work You dont even know you ought to try the failed method again And it will take you a long time to do so So its a lot of punishment and long slow retries with far too little reward No Ahha feeling when you beat a puzzle No burning desire to see whats next These things that make a game joyful are there only in small traces Too much stick too little carrot And the game is fairly short other than frustrating retries so even if you like half the puzzles you havent gotten much Even so I kept playing and even did some optional sidechallenges just to see if the fun part would arrive Ive now reached the last level I dont even care whether I finish it and it never gets fun It still feels like work I dread coming back to the game and dont care about the story There ARE many moments of fun throughoutbut they are awfully small details bogged down by the surrounding aggravation And not even aggravation alwaysjust the boredom of doing the same things at great length and not caring enough to justify so much time Still I hope they keep making more games The Incident same creators was great and there is real talent shown here too They just need to take a step back and judge the whole they have createdand be willing to go back to the drawing board even when it hurts A game should either have fun or at least have powerful not trite and obvious message to be worth the players time This has too little of either so I cannot recommend it When I realized I was HOPING each level was the last I knew it was a lost cause for me It needs better writing or much less of it and better puzzles Your tastes may vary of course        Great art but not fun

Ok so I got this game because I was bored To be honest I like it and all features except the price I beat the game in an easy 45 hours For three dollars I meanits ok tho I do think it requires great strategy or thinking Love that Keep on going                 Just awesome

Bad graphics bad dialogue bad concept bad execution waste of time pointless makes you dumber every minute you play it I hate games like these where the designer has some obscure detailed solution in mind and your job is to stumble around randomly until you accidentally do what he intended You probably will come up with 12 more interesting solutions before you try his and then you will feel like an idiot for guessing for so long Its like playing charades with a moron not fun frustrating and a waste of time     Refund Worst game ever

This was the best game I have ever played on iOS The story was phenomenal and every time the beginning music played I got the jitters the good kind In the future I hope there is a sequel to this game and I wish more people would get this game                 Holy Crap

Having been born in the early 80s and growing up playing all kinds of Sierra games Monkey Island Zack McCracken and Maniac Mansion this game was a wonderful flashback The dialogue was a bit cheesy at times but it didnt take away from my enjoyment of it Not sure if kids born on the graphics and cinematic narratives of games today will enjoy it as much but those of us from simpler time aka the beginning of the Internet it should be a big hit Hoping for Part 2                 Brought me back to my childhood

After hearing so much hype about this game I have to say Im a little underwhelmed I really want to like this game I really do Its got all I want in an adventure game And I know the subtitles are there not only for storysake but also to clue you in on future puzzles Im not a fast reader but i feel not having any control over the speed of the subtitles is a little pretentious on the devs part I know some people would complain if they were too slow or if one were forced to tap their way past them And yes I know games of my youth were very much like this But at least said games were nowhere near as fast as these subtitles move To me they just didnt think that aspect throughat least not beyond the blatant mimicry of ageold text games Ive tried making it through chapter 1 but did not continue since Im missing half of the subtitles due to my average reading skill Waiting for an update I gave it 2 stars because even though I like the game one of the major elements of the experience is lost on me I know Im not the only one who has mentioned this Please revise        Nice game but

I tried to like this game I really did The hype over this game is what lead me to download in the first place I am not sure why this game is as liked as it is Its nothing but text Nothing but reading subtitles moving a little reading more subtitles moving a little rinse lather repeat I have no control over the subtitles speed and it feels like forever to complete one mission If you like to do nothing but read and have very little gameplay then this is for you In my opinion a horrible text game with throwback graphics and even worse gameplay After 3 missions this game was quickly deleted     Way over hyped

I tried to like this game Its not an adventure game The stealth missions and strategic placement of your people combined with puzzle elements mean this game mixes genres For most of the game its only mildly frustrating The simple story and retro style kept me coming back And then I reached the final battle and the game switches into impossible mode The difficulty ramps up so ridiculously high its unfair If the earlier parts of the game prepared you for it Id have to accept the final battle But it doesnt And the controls are imprecise enough that Im constantly dying with no hope of success Its sad but I dont think Ill see the end of this story        Ugh stealth and an absurdly difficult final battle

I loved everything about this game Artistic fun plot playful interaction intuitive and effective controls I played it on the iPad The final level was indeed challenging but not impossible after experimenting with timing character control etc I do think that the difficulty should have ramped up in earlier levels to help prepare players for the types of puzzle solving skills needed to complete the game since the final challenge required an entirely new strategy to complete                 Brilliant When do we get more storieslevels

I have to say that I really enjoy this game It does indeed remind me of those classic adventure games of my youth The story and dialogue is funny and simple and the gameplay is rather easy to understand and difficult in some areas to master the puzzles thrown at you For an iOS game this has to be one of my all time favorites Its exactly what I thought it would be and thats all I was wanting it to be                 Retro classic style keeps me coming back

First great timekilling game with fairly short missions and a waytoocool soundtrack A couple of suggested improvements add running speed for some of this landscape strolls and adjustable subtitle strolling speed The humor story style and soundtrack make this feel like playing through an episode of The Twilight Zone Oh and was Prof Talby named after an astronaut in John Carpenters Dark Star                 A reference to Dark Star

This is a really nice game with elements of point and click strategy and adventure packaged with pleasant graphics and a really great soundtrack that remains fresh and inspired inspite of its old school feel I loved the weird twists the story takes and its somewhat psychedelic approach to scifithe game feels like a personal encounter with the protagonists and narrator rather than a scripted movie which is very engaging especially as you play different characters sometimes reenacting the inevitable and sometimes exploring completely uncharted territory This takes space age beyond RPGs and makes it an engrossing literary delight                 Loved it

I have been playing this game for a while and it is amazing Its challenging yet not overwhelming The controls are intuitive and easy to get the hang of One thing that would be amazing is if there were to be a mini map I would definitely recommend it                 So much fun

Very fun and neat game The controls are a little bit difficult to get used to but once you get the hang of them its rewarding The art music and plot line are all fantastic Theres definitely more than a hint of David Lynch around Chapter 9                 Nice

I wanted to like this game It seemed like it would be right up my alley but it just makes me mad I got to level 4 had absolutely no idea what to do and quit The levels give no indication when youre at the edge You have keep swiping to see if the scrolling stops This game is crying out for a mini map The screen doesnt scroll with the player characters When they got to the edge of the screen I assumed they were at the edge of the map Turns out the only way to know that was to again keep swiping Automatically scrolling with the characters would make this better Selecting more than one character with a pinch gesture is awful If they arent close together it doesnt work In level 3 there was no indication that the character you meet behind a barrier is controllable I walked around for 10 minutes before accidentally tapping on him The characters walk way too slowly Double tapping to run would be nice The dots representing offscreen characters are sometimes wrong In level 4 you have to find a vehicle that is in the top left When the map is focused in the lower left its dot is NOT green meaning I dont think I can control it or even know its existence I only found out about by searching for a clue on the Internet The color palate so far is boring and repetitive Do I really need to see the same names in credits over and over again I get it it was just two of you making this game        Frustrating and unintuitive

Space age delivers great graphics superlative music and good controls Although a few of the levels are way too hard All in all I would definitely recommend this game Although I can not comment on the storyline having not finished it                 A wonderful experience

The music and design style are all really great but sadly the gameplay and mechanics themselves are simply lacking Very long cutscenes with funny but usually lackluster writing with no way to skip If you close the game midway through a level it will make you start all over forcing you to go through all the long cut scenes again Patience is immediately lost        Setup to be a great game

A throw back to classic Lucas Arts adventure games in both quirky humor and visual style combined with a tactical element out of RTS games I found Space Age immensely entertaining Loved the music tooa great fit I sure hope Big Bucket comes out with a follow up game soon                 Love it

Considering its designed by two people with a third creating a nice soundtrack it is a very solid game that keeps you moving through the story and levels at a moderate pace At times the story wonders but is just the right length so that it neither feels rushed or too long The words disappear twice as fast as one would expect but is done in interest of keeping storyline moving You use a team of characters who perform specific jobs to complete each level Overall the game is worth the adventure I felt a 3 to 4 star rating throughout the game without any 5 star moments of this is awesome ever occurring              Odd retro space adventure
