SMART Notebook app for iPad

Horrible Smart app still has not adjusted to new iOS update Now when I try to enlarge an image to mirror on board at school it is all fuzzy I called smart and there is a separate department for app support that charges a steep fee Unsmart app     Smart app needs update

unless I can figure out how to paste images from other programs and how to display full screen this app it totally useless     krp

Once again if youre trying to use this app with an iPad and a projector in an effort to not have to buy a SmartBoard you are kidding yourself This app absolutely great in a classroom with an existing smart board and student iPads I push notebook files to my students all day via Dropbox they complete tasks and send them right back to me via DropBox Or Google Drive This is an outstanding app for the right purpose                 Still a great app

I was hoping to have students use this app to access interactive features in teachercreated notebook files Unfortunately this app turns interactive content into static images I would have better success using Doodle Buddy or Educreations to make my content for students Dont waste your schools money     Get a free whiteboard app instead

This app has such few features it borders on useless at times Creating SmartBoard content from scratch using this app is straightforward enough but doing anything remotely complicated is an exercise in frustration The interface is anything but intuitive and doing the most basic of tasks seems like a chore Want to copy a slide You cant Want to simply paste text from the clipboard good luck Honestly it feels like this app only exists to make the process as irritating as possible when Smart should realize and embrace mobile computing It sure would be nice to do what so many other companies offer on the iPad already     A strippeddown frustrating mess

I had been loving SMART notebook to help teach my after school engineering club Now it wont let me edit my text If you make a mistake or accidentally touch the screen anywhere else you cant get back to your typing Very disappointed I wanted to contact the company but they charge you to report a problem with their app No emails Thats just rude     New update

This app was junk it does not save your files I paid for it and it was a waste of money     Horrible

There are some real problems with the new update It keeps on losing the images that I put on my slides It worked fine before and very dependable but now Cmon SMART people        Fix the bugs

As a teacher I purchased this App to display my Notebook files on my iPad then mirror my screen using Air Play and run my lessons from my iPad When writing on the iPad screen in this App my writing actually appears just to the side of where my stylus is actually writing It pops over to the correct location after a short delay but its very disorientating Writing clearly on the iPad is already somewhat difficult and the way in which the writing isnt calibrated to the correct location in this app makes it pretty much impossible for me If you are only moving and sliding objects in your files the App should be fine for you If you are like me and need to do to a good deal of writing on your Notebook file while in this App you will probably feel frustrated like I am     Writing on file Impossible

I was please to find that I could upload smart board files from my computer onto my iPad I was easily able to display those files onto the smart board in any classroom with the iPad adapter However I cannot use the actual pens that go with the smart board to write up answers to questions or brainstorm I cannot advanced the pages either The iPad does not respond to the board As a traveling teacher I would love if this were fixed because I could just hook into the smart board instead of having to log onto a computer and wait for my files to load           Not bad

This recent update has taken away the activity builder which makes lessons created on computer useless for students For teachers this renders the app useless Please bring it back     No activity builder

If you actually plan to use this app for creating or editing notebook files DO NOT buy this app It is seriously flawed I hope the designers can put some effort into making this app actually usable For now Im back to using my desktop which makes the app a complete waste of money Shame on Smarttech for releasing subpar programs for iPads This app needs fullscreen option ability to add links and attachments better computerlinking capabilities overall better editing options        Do not buy Waste of money

This app is good when it does not start to glitch But other whys it is pretty good           Pretty good

If this app worked right if would be great BUT it doesnt IF it connects to the board it works with a slide or two and then give me a loading page message that never loads Theres also a big time delay between what you write on the ipad and what shows up on the board Thats if it connects at all This app needs lots of improvement before its worth 699 Save yourself the aggravation and 7 bucks     Agreed Totally useless

I got this app so my students could complete the activities that I created using Notebook 11 and the Lessons Activity Toolkit on their iPads Not a single one of those files could be opened with this app What a disappointment     What a disappointment

So the good things about the revised app are cool new pen tools and great color choices able to move pages around to be in a different order zooming in can be helpful Things I dont like and would like to have changed Comic Sans font is no longer available When I enter my screen everything is so zoomed in I have to zoom out each time the pen writes so slowly it cant keep up with my speed of writing This is the worst feature of the upgrade I would like to see comic sans available again the same screen from my laptop document as when it appears on my iPad app the pen to keep up with my speed so that I dont have to slow down or rewrite the same line again because it didnt write in the first place        Plus and minus

I cannot believe how bad and glitchy this app is I deleted all my notes and because of this I failed my test You need to fix this now Its very bad and deletes all my edits to the file PLEASE FIX     Horrible

I am dependent and writing accurately and quickly on the board I use an Apple TV to project what is on my iPad to what is on the board I like the ability to draw and manipulate shapes Geometry and would love to use my old Smartboard files but the pen stinks on this app It lags in response and is nearly impossible to draw with when blown up so what I am drawing fits within the scale of the background work It is unworkable as a result Everything else is great and I would use it in my classroom if not for the poor functionality of the pen        Needs improvement

Im using an iPad 2 and this app crashes consistently Features are excellent and very powerful but not useful at all if the app crashes every time I use it        Fix crash on iPad 2

This app crashes every time I use it and it does not seem compatible with newer iOS updates The app frequently has a popup saying that an action cannot be performed because there is not enough memory however there is enough memory when ok is clicked you can move forward with the same action with no problems and it often happens when you just move the arrownot saving or typing It has been out for awhile and no updates doesnt seem like a supported app     Needs work

I use iPads in my 1st grade ESL classroom on a daily basis I always feel like the apps I encounter just cant do the things I would like it to do in order to make it a successful learning tool in my classroom I love my SmartBoard and I was sooooo excited to finally see and download the app Unfortunately I have been having a variety of difficulties with the app that prevents me from using it in my classroom This app has great potential for schoolsstudents Please fix this           PLEASE FIX

This app is a great tool to have at home if you are going to transfer the file to a computer to use on a Smartboard Unfortunately half of the time it closes and deletes your slides I find myself emailing the file to myself every time I add a page just in case it glitches out again It doesnt have all of the benefits of the regular Notebook program but it does have the essential features        Frustrating

This app is barely a skeleton of the computer program It lacks too many of the features I rely on to teach my students no clip gallery no text recognition no interactive tools This program is so disappointing Hopefully these features will be added soon Until then its basically a slideshow app        So disappointed

I would review this app more positively if there were a free Notebook Reader my students could use I write files wNB11 on PC PC wIWB is the classroom setup So what I need from an app is the ability to have students work individually iPads on files I provide If I buy into the subscription service then let my students use the fruits of that for free But the app is too so I dont buy the subscription service        Too for students too limited for teachers

Ok Im writing a story about dogs so I backspace an emoji and it gets of the app and I go back on the app and it was perfectly good than I backspace the emojiagain and i back on the app again and the story isnt there and Im like where the heck is it and i wasted 2 hours on that im like i hate ths app now           Kinda good Kinda annoying

The app is good for one thing opening smart files on the iPad However I cannot use this with my class for most things that I do now with my computer I could not scroll so that students could see the whole screen and it was very difficult to adjust the size of the screen to reveal the whole thing There is no full screen mode so students see all the slides of the whole lesson on the side of the screen and that is both distracting and takes up valuable space that could be used to enlarge the screen Also there are no screens that hide content like on the computer version til you are ready to reveal it something I use with most of my lessons to keep them focused I will not be using this waste of 6 bucks     Cannot Use

It constantly tells me not enough memory to complete this action when I have 13 GB of free space and no other apps open It looses my work even if it shows it as saved when I go back out to the main menu and crashes or freezes when I move between pages Awful Its annoying enough that fonts and things arent preserved but this makes the app unusable     Constantly crashes and looses work

This app had finally worked out most of its issues and then iOS7 came along and the crashes are back again There is a BIG problem with bringing in a file from Dropbox Once the file is in the app the pages cant be viewed PLEASE FIX     Fix the iOS7 bugs please

Im just now looking at the app so I will update rating later I am familiar with the software but just starting on iPad I am having problems opening my presentations on the app I have saved them in google drive and one drive but cant get them to open I easily saved the tutorial given with the app and opened it from google drive Any suggestions              Just getting started

This app is terrible It is the worst note taking app there is It deleted all the notes I made on it It is not reliable at all If I have to recommend a note app to anyone I am definitely not choosing this one Very disappointed and this should be updated     Bad app

Newest update is terrible When you write on files it writes way off to the side and then puts it where you want it My files from previous versions are fuzzy     Glitchy

This app would be wonderful if it didnt crash every time I tried to use it Every time it does so I loose my entire lesson presentation I cant believe I paid for this     Useful but Awful

I hate this app I had homework assignments and notes that i needed for tests and to turn in and the app would constantly crash Multiple times when I needed my work most all the work I had would be deleted This app is one of the worst apps out there I recommend that no one buys it until all of its glitches and faults are fixed     This app is terrible

I like this app but I would like to get pictures and not have to take pictures you can just find them But I do like this app              I like it

It opens the presentation but it doesnt save what slide you were on last And if you scroll through the slides too quickly to find where you were it says not enough memory to complete the action and you cant open any of the slides        Very annoying app

I downloaded several copies of this app to use as background building activities using the Activity Builder Unfortunatly the images dont move well when I drag them and only the first item will interact with the activity then I cant move anything around It seems only files created in side the app work very well        Was excited about this app
