At first i thought this app can create animated gif of the sketch Unfortunately its only export as jpeg It will be nice if we can output as gif or video Anyway good app             The app name quite deceiving Farhan Halim

This new version of SketchMee produces fascinating results They have an algorithmic look not quite like a natural drawing but interesting nonetheless The potential for an artist would be to blend the results from SketchMee with their own hand drawn layers photos or other effects The app comes with over 150 presets that reinterpret your input image with line fills and contours The settings can be tuned to unlimited variations The output quality on an iPad is high up to 8 megapixels and there is an in app option for vector output for those who want to take their pictures further Even if you don t intend to do that the app is highly entertaining                     Works Swimmingly Bluffwalker

I have owned this app for a couple of years I find it very important to my work and use it often However of late it crashes a lot This used to never happen I have many other apps by the same creator and have no trouble with them Please get this fixed         Useful app but 7el3fg

While the nearly 200 presets are a fairly nice touch the GUI is flawed because the user is forced to watch a very tedious redraw of every potential effect nearly all of which must be tweaked after being applied to the user s image Gone from this iteration of SketchMee are two critical functions being able to set the parameters in advance without being forced to pick a fairly close approximation of what the intended feel is to be and the complete lack of choice of file dimensions including the glaring omission of the in app PDF export option Worst of all is the crashing during a render upon saving to the Camera roll and the bizarre uselessness of a user preset which produces no image at all unless one waits for the preset to render completely The presets are a fairly short list of parameters and should save instantly instead the preset must be studied as it gradually changes from an empty white box to a fully re rendered image that has already rendered and been saved as an image The 3 stars are for it being v1 0 although it feels like a beta version when one attempts to use it even on a nearly empty iPad running nothing but the iOS and SM2 To be fair the enormous number of presets does provide for creative inspiration that may not occur to the user Bravo for that I am an enormous fan of StudioMee s other imaging apps Please bear this in mind when you sense a harsh review here Please guys fix the erratic crashes and interminable preset redraws And please allow for what should be very fast saving of user presets I ll be happy to review the next few versions until they have my deepest concerns A final request applies to both SketchMees and PaintMee if you want to give us a variety of substrates for our images great However there really should be a bump map that affects the artwork with light and shade The number of substrates is small and most are not convincing It would be great not to be stuck only with canvas when Belgian Linen would serve PaintMee we ll as would a deep textured watercolor paper for all the apps There is so much sophistication in the apps in general but I would rather have no substrate at all and take my finished image into Photoshop or Illustrator to create my own substrates and alpha channels that allow for the equivalent of how the media are affected through the use of an embossed effect as I do now with the images I make in FoolProof PaintMee and sometimes in SketchMee One although the latter images are usually altered in Illustrator to increase randomized effects and then rasterized into Photoshop for substrate texture and believable interaction with the sketches I look forward to the next few versions of this new app and hope that the hard working coders have heard my suggestions for improvement beyond the I hope it is perceived this way constructive criticism of this new app s flaws             Not your best app Crashes CONSTANTLY barnettart
