Much like many of the other folks posting here I am frustrated with the instances of app crashes when drawing for weekly graphics for my students It is really REALLY frustrating to be into detail work and have the app crash only to find all of the work erased It seems to happen most often if there are more than three layers of drawing I really love drawing with this appbut I get frustrated real quick when it erases hours of worknot cool              Annnnnd Repeat

I love this app and use it for everything from artwork to visual planning and notes but there is one fatal flaw a blotchy quality when trying to fill any area When zoomed in this isnt noticeable but when viewing at full size the area that I already filled in appears to have gaps as if it was scribbled not fully filled This is beyond frustrating and can only be remedied by going over the area repeatedly until it appears more filled Ive had this issue for at least a year and am very surprised an update hasnt been made to correct it This is such a small but devastating flaw that keeps this app from being great please amend this           Great potential but spotty literally

This app could have been amazing otherwise I dont see the point for its existence The rendering engine is what you are paying for but dont buy it if you want to actually draw something using layers with the ability to move the drawing within the layer SketchBook Pro is fantastic and Id highly recommend it to those who need a much more advanced drawing tool Merge this engine with the engine in SkethBook Pro and youll be smooth sailing Honestly this app only deserves to be priced at 199     Nice rendering engine Poor execution

it would be a 6 stars if you make it UNIVERSAL and add SVG export              great update

The app is great just a couple little complaints Ink does not have the same interface as Sketchbook Pro which is a little annoying It is similar just things are moved around Second is that there is no support for smart stylus like the Pogo Connect and similar stylus like sketchbook pro does              Great app

It would be awesome if you could rename reorder and group canvases so that an animator could keep track of the order export of his frames And export groups as albums also please              Animation almost

I bought this app thinking it would be great I am impressed with the brushes eraser layers colors and color wheel that pops up What I dont like is that the app lags quite a bit Also I was working on a drawing and suddenly the app shutdown I couldnt open the app back up Basically I have an icon and thats it for the app now I tried to get answers from the sketchbook community with no results I wouldnt even give this a 1 star let alone give the companys inks app department 1 star rating I would recommend not buying this app and use a different Art Drawing app     Do not buy this App

I had to actually logon to my computer to write a review for this app because appstore on my ipad wouldnt let me review it so keep that in mind I bought this app thinking it would be as good as the previous Sketchbook apps Ive purchased I was gravelly mistaken First off the zoom is inaccurate if you zoom out the picture is diffrent versus if you were zoomed in Secondly the app severley lacks features such as symmetry eraser blend and everything else youd expect it to have The only shining feature to this apps is it amount of layers which the original Sketchbook lacks Overall Id just suggest either getting Sketchbook Pro or Procreate dont waste your money on this app I learned that the hard way     Believe the NEGATIVE reviews

Now one of the very best with the pressure sensitive Pogo Connect be sure to use the pressure sensitive brush that appears at the very top after you activate your pen Now add user set page sizesI know its resolution independent but stilland it would be close to perfect Solid four stars              Very good with Pogo Connect

If your just playing around this wont matter to you but if you were excited to sketch on your IPad and then out put the vector drawing YOU CANT there is no reason to draw in vector format if you cant save in vector format Waist of money     No vector output

I just got it yesterday and its is AMAZING If u are looking for a really good app for digital art its this one for sure                 Better than 53 thats how good

This is by far my favorite iPad app for creating line work This isnt a note taking or sketch app which some reviewers below seem to think My workflow create basic line work here with Ink then export to another drawing app like Sketchbook to add in details and color                 Best app for line work

When you draw slowly line close up trying to me lines of different colors or the same Then you zoom out there are blank spots between lines same goes for erasing lines Then when you zoom in it looks perfect without the blank spots and when you zoom out it looks so darn ugly Should be a 45 since it is still usable but you should improve this              Lines close up

I like sketchbook ink but unfortunately I came across some major problems After using the app for several hours it starts to crash randomly When I try to start the app again it crashes on the loading screen Even closing the app does not always get rid of this problem Also it would help if there was a save button installed to prevent one from losing all of their progress in a crash           Good but has some major bugs

Crashes randomly deletes layers cant export vector information Its a shame these simple bugs arent addressed All it needs are a few added features too and this could be a great app        Great app lots of bugs

I want so badly to love this app However it annoys me that I dont have the option of transforming the size or position of the underlay photo that I use When I try the entire canvas gets resized Why would the developers think that I will always want to outline a giant fullcanvas image This app consistently offers the smoothest drawing experience that Ive found but issues like the one I described keep me from using it as a primary art tool Disappointing           Better but

I own Sketchbook Pro and love it INK in the other hand is misleading When you as for a vector program is so you can edit the vectors I find no way of doing this here Dont waste your money get Sketchbook Pro     No vector editing

Why did you replace sketchbook pro with this I was a long time user of pro until I got a new device and was shocked to see a replacement ink I try it to discover it is worse than express The app has next to no functionality horrible gui and uninteresting options Please bring pro back     What were you thinking

Ive never written a review for an App before but I have never been as annoyed as I am right now I expect a vector app to be able to export a vector file and this one didnt I cant believe I paid money for this Thankfully there is another app out there that will do what I want     Fail no SVG no PDF

No PDF or vector based export Really That Im afraid is the deal breaker What is the point of having a vector based drawing tool if you cant work with those vectors later in another program I dont care how high resolution it can export a raster image I need the original vectors     Disappointing

The lack of layers made this app pretty much useless but at long last they have arrived and allowed some proper work to be done However 8 layers still feels a bit limited and the lack of any merging or copying of layer contents makes it difficult to manage them Surely the iPad 34 at least could sustain more Id also really appreciate a crop option so that I could take full advantage of the output resolution I ended up only really wanting a corner of one canvas and ended up with the resolution you could get using a typical nonvector app A true vector format output would be even better And finally some kind of auto save is needed The app crashed on me when exporting an image and hours of work were lost Oh and yes there are errors in the rendering at different zoom levels showing a solid fill of color zoomed in when working but messy with holes when zoomed out              Huge Improvement still some work to do

1 no color opacity 2 no transform tool 3 a bug I see is I zoom in I draw a circle then I color it in to fill it in then zoom to 100 and the circle is not filed in correctly whats up with that     Please Fix

My finished drawing is not exporting to my photos on my iPad Great UI but really limited pen options Not a huge range in type or sizes Great layer function           Good and bad

The app really could be so much more It has an excellent foundation it just needs the right direction It should be fully featured and if it was it would be the go to app for mobile ink work It has the ability to deliver such great results but the app feels abandon Really hope you guys rethink the app I think pressure should be supported throughout but without taking away from how great the brushes feel I just think the brushes need a push A bit more of a firm feel the ability to stipple ect But again I wouldnt want to take away from the end results that the brushes give Especially the sharp tapered brush and that really cool opacity style brush The use case for this app isnt to create in it from scratch People want to take their sketches into it and do their pieces So we need the ability to scale our sketches up and we need better layout control for exporting For exporting I dont think PNG is enough I want this app to be the solution for finishing a inking and color piece in mobile then taken out for various mediums of print It delivers those results There is so reason why this app couldnt be that type of app for us Both sketchbook and this app need greater stylus support Especially for the Cintiq Companion a hybrid and the new Intuos styli coming out Its very unlike the sketchbook brand to put out a app that still feels like its in beta after being around for so long It just feels abandoned Yet it has so much potential in 20142015 with the wide variety of devices and pens we now have This could be such an amazing app Really hope you guys do something with it soon           Could be so much more

Please make layersimage exportable to adobe ilustrator etc just like sketchbook pro is able to export to psd It would make this app a SUPER power house Id throw out my computer Otherwise great app           Export to Ilustrator

The idea of the century        A vector drawing app that doesnt export vectors

Am not able to save drawings as transparencies a major reason I bought the app Has it been recently updated A few days ago I saved some drawings as transparencies for an animation project now it aint workin           Frustrated

SO not worth it do not spend your money on it the free sketchbook app is technically the same     not worth it

I love this drawing app however it is missing something Auto desk PLEASE add an opacity slider for the brushes              Almost perfect

Ive tried nearly every other drawing program that supports a stylus This one is superior for line art with a small exception I cannot export the image as a vector eg SVG or AI Opacity is another missed feature Maybe line smoothing since this is vector based Still well on its way to being the best              On the way to greatness

They say it uses a new rendering engine that allows crisp clear resolution at any size This is true but why go through all the effort to give us this ability but only letting us export the finished image in PNG format Doesnt that defeat the purpose of the program because all it does is rasterize the very image we create Why arent we given SVG export        Export to png

Its nice multi scale drawing but squiggles get interpreted as gestures to sample color either that or my hand is accidentally triggering the color sample tool One of the others said that this app doesnt export to anything but png One problem with exporting vector graphics is the amount of points to store in the drawing and details like that scalable graphics do end up with smaller files than raster but you need a file format and pdf would be giving business to a major competitor adobe so if thats the case develop for and develop the open source SVG format that is used by programs like inkscape           Turn off gestures

Love the brushes and the line quality now that I am used to drawing with a stylus Drawing with this app has changed my style a lot as a stylus is not at all the same as a pencil It is a little more like using a paint brush Things that I would like to see I have noticed the phantom spots and missing color when zooming out but it seems fine when viewing in sketchbook pro I use them together so the inability to fill doesnt bother me to much I do mostly line work in ink the app occasionally responds too slow so a spot or line doesnt show up right away being able to convert a line to an object or path for later editing would be nice the ability to resize rotate move and merge layers would also be very useful for me would love the ability to record my process like in sketchbook pro as I have recently had an inquiry about that Again no regrets Love the app                 Love it Would like a few added features

Being a Sketchbook customer in the past with everything from Express iPad to Pro on iMac I didnt think twice about buying this app Assuming the quality would hold standard from the developers alas something is askew Its like the app was made by a completely different company Shame shame shame for taking us for a ride on your good name I didnt even take time to read reviews because I trusted Sketchbooks quality of programs There is no opacity other than layers The pressure sensitivity with my Wacom creative doesnt want to cooperate all the time There isnt support for JaJa either There are issues when zooming or undoing the picture looks effed up for a second then resumes The lack of settings for the tools isnt very sketchbook like either Where is merge layers WHAT WERE THEY THINKING that we wouldnt notice All in all I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND buying this piece of travesty I even am so upset about this app that I am not enjoying my Pro experience as much because it just reminds me that I wasted money on Inkwhich should have been a quality app Shame on you Sketchbook I want a refund     Shame on sketchbook

I think this app needs to be finished all you get is vector lines with no way to adjust them no selection tools no flip or rotate and its 5 bucks Its hard to draw on the iPad as it is with the width of your finger so I was hoping for the ability to change the lines Anyway i wish I had not bought this app     Dont buy

Amazing platform and solid design Its time for more layers though as this is getting outdated by programs offering 30 layers per piece allowing merges swaps etc and thus creating more epic presentations I have faith youll take that into considerationuntil then I have to find alternatives           Greatlimited though

This app has everything one could want for cartooningalmost If you could actually keep the work you accomplish in it it would be perfect but the app will crash and leave you with little of your project in tact It will revert back to the first mere outline that you started with Obviously the number of strokes and erases matter Dont even bother trying to do more than an outline in this app You will waste massive amounts of time when it crashes and leaves you with your first outline Sorry I LOVE Probut it doesnt do what this does Too bad this doesnt work     HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Performance is awesome on iPad Air much better then 3 This tool has a very specific purpose line work drawing The tapered lines it produces are beautiful energetic and very highresolution It does a great job of mimicking pressure sensitivity yet it feels natural This is NOT a traditional vector illustration app You cannot edit curves and handles Most of the bad ratings are just from users confused about this Its also not a fullfeatured painting app But if youre wanting to do a beautiful and detailed final outline of your sketches or add some tight line work to your paintings from other apps this is the tool for you                 A great tool for line work

I regret getting this app I should have listened to the reviews This seems like a beta Hopefully this app will be fixed        Not very good
