So far is a fun game Some have said buggy but hasnt been bad for me I have only had the game freeze once or twice but I simply push the home button on the iPhone and reload the game and be playing from the same spot in 20 secs So far good Game is cute and fun              Fun

Yes the graphics are from 1990 and yes it has glitches but this is a classic game worth another look                 A classic

This could have been a tolerable game but apparently the developer wants your money without providing a good product If all you want to do is play for 58 minutes watch it stall freeze and reload just to repeat the pattern all over again then this is the game for you Otherwise there are LOTS of other far superior game apps that actually work For the short period of time that the game works it is dreadfully pedantic     Play stall reload play stall reload

So incredible to play this old childhood favorite of mine again Its just as great as I remember Played it right through on an ipad 4 with minimal glitches A few freezes here and there but nothing terrible like some of the older reviews Great purchase                 Amazing

Very funny adventure game in the style of the original Monkey Island games If you like English fantasy humour think Discworld youll enjoy this I absolutely loved this game as a kid and Im so happy I can play it on my iPhone and relive the memories Chris Barrie Rimmer from Red Dwarf does a great job of providing Simons voice The developers have done a fine job with this port and the game is much more stable since the last update                 Classic

ive had to redo this game an embarrassing amount of times sometimes it lets me complete tasks sometimes it doesnt and every task makes a differencebasically i cant finish the game and its very frustrating their updates fixed bugs but really i dont see a difference also a pretty slow moving character so its extra time consuming to restart the game     messed up

To proceed in the game I have to use a feather on a sleeping dwarf to get a key The first time I tried the game froze Every time after nothing happened I cannot progress further in the game If you cant progress then the game is unplayable     Unplayable

Great oldschool adventure game but has some nagging problems 1st it freezes a lot Not a big deal on iOS but you do have to wait a couple hours till the game resets itself before u can restore and keep playing The control has not transitioned to touchscreen comfortably either Both yer choices to navigate are inaccurate and tedious Still StS is charming and will appeal to old adventure game lovers like myself Oh and be sure to use the hint button a bunch Many of the items you need to collect are impossible to see and simply blend into the background Also some of the puzzles have absurd answers A lot of times Im just randomly clicking which aint too cool In the end though you do get a big adventure game full of memorable characters and funny dialogue for a buck99 In my book worth it           Retro glitchy clunky and fun

I played this game last week for nearly 6 hrs and decided to rest right after flying on the broom to the Tower Of Doom I came back to continue the game and now I cant flip pages in my inventory I found the crack and I need to get to my potion to continue playing but its not on the main inventory page WHAT NOW           HELP Im locked out of my inventory

This game is still as clever as I remember but unfortunately it is severely buggy The game froze for me at several points the animations were often so garbled as to leave me wondering what was supposed to be going on and the last area of the game was practically unplayable After having played this Im honestly afraid to even bother with the sequel for fear that it will also be so frustratingly buggy           Good game bad port

Nostalgia wit and good voice acting are not enough to redeem this point and click adventure game classic port to the iPhone 1 Glitches Galore I almost stopped playing this game because the bugginess became so frustrating Scenes froze at crucial points multiple versions of the same character would pop up for no reason and sometimes Simon would be cut in half while conducting a conversation These glitches became more frequent and irritating towards the end of them game 2 Too small for iPhone Accessing the inventory and completing certain tasks on an iPhone was challenging because the game was so cramped on the device The inventory took up about a third of the screen and it got in the way of touchscreen commands Scrolling through items was also difficult at times because the scroll bar was so small As a classic PC game SImon the Sorcerer is probably a better fit for a larger iPad screen where smaller objects are easier to see and commands can be executed without your finger tapping the wrong area because it is too big 3 Puzzle solutions are random The puzzles can be very intriguing but some of the solutions defy logic even in a fictional realm based on magic The connections between places and things can be obtuse There are also lots of distracting items and areas that compete for your attention but are not an essential part of completing the game For 199 this game is probably worth it for fan of old school point and click adventure gamer as long as you do not mind a lot of bugs           Buggier than an infestation

I had this app working well on iOS 32 for a long time There were certainly glitches but nothing that would render the game unplayable But ever since I upgraded iOS this app freezes constantly when playing an animation cut scene This has made the game quite playable           Crashes on iOS 42

boy do i hate this game i love the genre but the controls are so bad that i really feel i cant continue with this game the miserable controls coupled with the long drawn out corny dialogue is killing me its just not fun if they offered a lite version no one would buy the game        yikes thrown on the iphone with little care

Issues addressed in other feedback seem to have been solved If youre a fan of old school point and click adventure games Quest for Glory or Kings Quest youll love this game I used an IPad 2 and had minimum bugs              Take another look

This game is one of my alltime favorites but sadly it seems to have been abandoned by the developer I recently redownloaded to play on my iPhone 6 running iOS 8 and the game is unplayable It doesnt respond to any touch input at all If you see this iPhSoft please update this game for iOS 8 and iPhone 66 compatibility     Once 5 stars now only 1

I Love the game and would give it 4 stars but it locks up a lot Some times it will just close others the mouse will move but nothing will react And there are several cut screens that get well cut Also I had the whole thing crash once or twice in a certian area Bugs need to be fixed but its a great story              Great game bad bugs

I thought this game was cute and entertaining until it froze on me Twice Once it freezes the game will start but you can no longer work the controls and have to start a new game Restarting the iphone downloading from the comp and reinstalling has not worked Lame Update I downloaded the latest update and discovered that I could continue the game from where it had frozen before Yay I was so happy that I could continue playing the gameuntil the same issue happened again after a short while Now its frozen and I am too far along in the game to have any interest in reinstalling the game to see if that works it didnt work the last time I tried before the update anyway so I guess Ill have to wait another several weeks or whenever they give another update to continue playing the game Is it worth it shrug Hope it works better for everyone else Update I took the advice of another reviewer and waited a couple minutes after the app froze to see if it would fix itself I was happy to see that that did work but even more frustrated to find out that it makes no difference Once it unfreezes I have to try the same action again only to have the freezing cycle continue with no game progress Frick     Cute game but needs a fix

Got all the way to tower and game crashed Now i am back at the beginning and no way to resume Given how tedious this game was the controls are hugely difficult and annoying it is ridiculous to imagine starting over so guess I will never finish the game Other peeves cant play it without sound as subtitles are illegible and thus are forced to listen to vapid music jingle ad nauseum have to move controls over and over to find tiny sweet spots most of the puzzles were really arbitrary     Frustrating and annoying

I love this game There is funny voice acting and very nice 16bit graphics but on the iPad at least there are a number of bugs to beware of It doesnt save the state of the game when you quit so have to go back to last save point The fonts and inventory are not resized to be iPad friendly being almost too pixelated to discern Numerous animations do not play properly leaving you guessing if the task completed or not Sometimes I had to change pointer modes to complete a certain task because I couldnt use one item with another For a game with such originally good production values this port needs work              Caught up to a classic

Good effort but two fatal flaws and one bad one First the bad one the touch points are too tiny for the iPhone trouchscreen and require an absurd level of pixel hunting Fatal flaws freezing is a problem requiring you to start a new game and reload a save game if you have one And heres the big one you cannot climb a rope at a certain point and therefore cannot progress in the game Its pretty bad when developers cannot avoid problems like this when writing for a single hardware platform Very disappointing     Fatal flaws

I understand this is an older game but it has just too many glitches that couldve and shouldve been fixed by the company that rereleased it Furthermore its a bit slow and nearly every character you encounter is TOO talkative not funny or memorable and just plain intolerable I honestly dont know if humor has changed THAT much over the past twenty years or so since the release of this game or if the original developers didnt have a sense of one collectively        Kind of a regrettable purchase

Ive downloaded and restarted the game twice now Each time if I close the game the next time I restart it freezes on the opening screen and wont allow me to play I played this game years ago when it first came out and loved it Im sorely disappointed I cant pick it up again     Cant play it

App crashes every time I get to the barbarian with the thorn in his foot As soon as Simon plucks the thorn out the screen freezes but the background music keeps playing on without issue Super frustrated as this barbarian drops an item needed to play the game I cant press forward in my quest     Frustrated Really frustrated

If game locks up just leave app open for a minute or two and it will work again              Easy fix if locked up
