Great app It would be iseful if you coul offer a dock connector equiped with two test probes and protection against overvoltage                 Very useful

I have been using this app for around 3 years and I think its great I have to test the overhead paging system and the paging system sends out a 20ma single and this app picks it up                 Over the top

I do recording and sound reinforcement at many different venues This app works great I will use this with my white noise generator to set room EQ Dont need to buy extra devices just use my Ipad Not dirt cheap like some other apps but you get what you pay for                 Very useful

I cant figure out how to display higher then 4K hz on the screen On this it shows up to 20 K From testing with Electroacoustics Toolbox This thing is pretty accurate up to 4k hz              past 4K

For 25 this is a very useful app Technical aspects aside the touch UI is very swank the portability the depth of setup options It could have been a toy then what about the reviews Ever wonder what a fill in random event plots iphone it up Youd never have a portable setup ready to go that quick sometimes without stares Its more ubiquitous this way I wonder how easy it would be to swap out the mic with a RTA one or even rebuilt the input gainstructure to up the freq responce etc Everything is possible but I think this is good enough for me I really just want to see where big holes are in a room or see what different places I go everyday look like I might not get the same results as pro but most of that is ears and I would not be out the money 25 folks its an iphone steak Good job Faber Acoustical                 First of its kind

Okay a few APPs are taking this road does not mean its fair by any means especially when we bought in at 25 when Version 1 was introduced You see this is a great APP does exactly what it says it will do Buy here we go we seed money ito them through sales and when they rewrite the APP as they did adding new and very cool features they did NOT post it as an upgrade Nope they relisted the NEW APP at nearly 75 We who bought in early cannot even get a credit on the initial 25 invested anyone else see where this is unfair So I dont wish bad on anybody I desire everyone to succeed but come on people rethink your marketing direction and post the NEW version as the UPGRADE it should be to the users who funded your development costs to continue Will I buy the 75 APP NO WAY This company needs to come to their senses and FAST Someone else will come out and offer a competitive item with a true sense of customer loyalty and youll be shut out You think not Ive been watching a lot of developers and its happened before and I believe it can and will in your case again Do the right thing please Finally Id be happy to remove my negative comments when and if you decide that my initial investment of 25 way back on July 12 2008 entitled me to be recognized     VERY disappointed in how upgrade was posted

While this is certain not to replace anyones BK equipment it is great for quick and convenient measurements of a room or sound source I have found it useful in the studio as well as unfamiliar concert halls to get a quick idea of what to expect I highly recommend this to anyone in the field of acoustics or recording To those complaining of the price check out the price of a professional handheld FFT or sound level meter                 Really great app

Ill keep this short this app certainly isnt cheap But it works incredibly No lag excellent interface very powerful This and the other apps by Faber Acoustical are basically SMAART tools for iOS its incredible what they can do I am a sound engineer and ringing out monitors takes about 12 minutes with this appno frequency guessing required Great to have in your pocket at all times Couple this app with a nice digital board with some parametric EQs and you are set Beautiful piece of software that I use all the time and it makes coworkers and friends jealous The Retina support for the iPhone AND iPad is incredible Do your research and youll see that this app is worth the price                 Not cheap but a FANTASTIC spectrum analyzer

At this point it wont download I was charged for it but itunes or my iPhone both give me error 206 I can download other apps just fine I really hope they fix this other wise Im out 25     Buyer beware

Its the first quick spectral reference Ive had that fits in my shirt pocket It is not a replacement for any of the acoustic packages costing much more but if youve got 6 monitors going and chasing feedback in a festival situation its great Thanks Ive already made the money back     Worth every penny

Im so glad someone did this I got the download error too but tried again 3 days later on wifi and it worked fine No double charge So happy                 Sweeet

After spending 25 for this basic oscilloscope I find out that I must spend another 20 to use Volts for units of amplitude Ive never heard of an oscilloscope without Volts BTW its awkward to use basic functions like changing trigger settings Think twice before paying this much without being able to try it out first     I feel ripped off

I purchased this app thinking you could analyze your favorite tracks and get a visual of the way they were mixed but this app is not the case And for 24 its NOT worth it Not only that they offer a pro version and cost double this app costs I think paying 24 bucks for a lite version is just a scam Do not buy this app if you are using it to analyze your music on your phone The only work around is play your music through your music app and then use your built in mic to record BUT even then you have background noise     Cant play audio through this

Besides the solid functionality this app makes a great demo of the processing power of an iPhone An electrical engineer friend of mine was bad mouthing my iPhone as he does with anything made by Apple until I showed him this application His initial reaction was stunned silence When I rotated my iPhone to the horizontal position the jealous expression on his face was worth the price of this app and then some Hee hee                 Impressive and very elegant

Started using this app for a live sound gig and wow does it work It does exactly what its designed to do Yea there are a few issues with how the upgrades are priced but for me thats not a big deal Hasnt frozen or locked up my phone yet but only time will tell Also isnt too bad on my battery life either                 Great for on the fly feedback control

I too am having problems with the waveform from the builtin mic freezing up Any updates developers I am also disgusted with the companys latest update I agree with all of the previous reviewers points I will be taking my loyalty elsewhere since it isnt worth much apparently Another developer will come out with something much better at reasonable pricing Ive gotten good use out of this tool before updates literally broke its functionality for me Im just remorseful now that Ive invested 20 in this company and theyre shutting the door on me with unrealistic upgrade prices Please at least fix the version that you have        Waveform scope freezing

I do not understand why there are such negative reviews for this application The software is an acceptable waveform anazyler obviously not a replacement for research quality instrumentation but sufficient for general applications Individuals who are posting negative reviews need to be further educated on limitations of using phones for advanced operations and should not compare the quality of iPhone applications to PC based equivalents If you are interested in the software I would recommend it                 Software with Potential

Same problem as user 777ipd APP WILL NOT DOWNLOAD getting error 206 Whether this thing comes anywhere near being useful enough is yet to be seen because it wont even download iTunes offers no live support just a very slow and so far unproductive process of contact through email     BEWARE will not download

I had high hopes for this app since I will be giving physics demos next week involving acoustic signals and acceleration data The real time measurement spectral analysis and display are impressive But the accelerometer only displays the last 005 seconds before you hit the pause button I cant imagine how they got that screenshot of the accelerometer the person must have been able to hit the pause button while riding some kind of spin table See their website for their Electroacoustics Toolbox 699 free 30day demo which has many powerful features they might gradually port to iPhone Faber has made a really good start but this app is just a taste of future capabilities and should not yet be priced at 25           Mainly a demo for future capabilities

Ive used SignalScope on several occasions doing live sound Naturally it wont replace highquality RTAs but I was able to quickly find feedback frequencies in my monitors even from 30 feet away Ill be getting SoundMeter also very soon                 Very impressed

My work is in public address I find it extremely handy for locating feedback frequencies For that alone it is worth the cost It locks up a lot Would like to see a delay calculator Send signal out the headphone output and measure the return time at the mic Also request large cursor tracking display and maybe an RTA style view              If you dont know what it is you dont need it

Love the app very useful My only complaint is that the IAP signal generator only allows one frequency to be generated at once Id love an AB option as in the nowdefunct SignalSuite                 Great app

Updated the app and now when it launches it shows the Faber Acoustical Screen and then crashes Please fix     Most recent update crashes on launch on 4s

No it isnt SMAART Live But it fits in my pocket and is with me wherever I go That makes it awfully convenient For doing quick overviews of a room it is very useful yes even with only the iPhone microphone If I bothered to carry a phantom powered interface and a calibrated mic with me Id probably have my laptop with me as well and Id use SMAART But that isnt the point of this app is it And this app doesnt cost 1000 At 25 its a bargain This product is getting unduly slammed by kids who think its an expensive game and pros who wont step off their high horses If were going to be so snobbish about it lets point out that we you cant tune a room anyway you can only calibrate sound systems to to minimize undesirable acoustical responses to the impulses generated by the loudspeakers For that this is quite a useful app for getting a snapshot just as your phone is a convenient way to capture an image if you dont have an SLR on you I didnt think twice before downloading Nor did I have a problem with the download or the operation                 useful device bargain priced

I recently used to diagnose a noisy gear in a transmission Allowed us to find and replace the noisy gears On my wishlist more control of cursor position and scaling on spectrum and sample time on waveform              Good for a quick diagnosis

This is a great app As an acoustic engineer I cant tell you how many times Ive wanted something just like this It is great when I am trying to analyze something and just need to find out what frequency a sound is and I dont have to run and grab a handheld analyzer and wait the 3 minutes for it to start up The save to the camera roll is a really nice feature too iTunes game me a little trouble downloading it but once they got that fixed everything went fine                 Finally a convenient acoustics tool

I am another error 206 victim I reinstalled iTunes rebooted etc Glad to see it isnt just me The app can work from the built in mic or the external headset mic so probably a good mic could be used Not everyone needs an audio FFT up to 22khz I am most intrigued by the power spectrum coming from the accelerometer That is a pretty unique measurement device I wonder if it can track 50hz or faster Update The problem with downloading was fixed The audio spectrum is up to 4kHz the accelerometer is up to 50Hz Program runs well it costs too much for a game that will be boring after a month but for a powerful and useful tool it is a bargain                 Who needs the phone mic

Great software but I am tired of the small iPhone size for display when others are now available in the app store for the iPad So come on Faber do us all a favor           Why not update this for the iPad
