I work in a college and occasionally I have to wait until the interpreter arrives and this is a great app to initially communicate with deaf students However how do you use different avatars I have been stuck with Jack ever since the upgrade and sometimes I would like to try a female interpreter Also I was not able to contact the developer on their site and that s why I did it in a review If anyone can help me I would be appreciative                 Good App but The katzmeow

I ve never seen an update make an app that much worse Why focus so much on new characters that are difficult to see not to mention scary looking I miss the old guy The whole update feels like a backwards step the intro is so awkward all that needed to be improved was vocabulary and phrases     Used to be an amazing app ChristieLynnnn

I loved this app used it a lot before Chet was replaced by the two new characters I have no problem with the characters but the font is soooooo small I can t read it HELP I just downloaded the latest update today 10 14 17 and I still have the font size problem Plus when I touch the X to stop the signing of my word so I can choose another it doesn t stop     After upgrade font s too small Gberisky

like the fact that you had more characters but replacing it was not what i expected also the display of the words is too small i can write that small but to make notes that will matter letter this device with this app was small going even smaller i was not a good choice and the intro that you have now is very ghetto you had a good product changes are always welcome when it s for the better these ones not so much             not so crazy about the display QmanAtor

This app is surprisingly good it shows some facial expressions and knows to combine phrases like not yet I don t really use any other ASL app but this one It would be great if they updated it more than once a year but it almost doesn t need it                     Great signing app libbyonline

It s not just SEE thats a problem numbers are off as well Bummer Definitely check with a deaf person first or prepare to look stupid I agree too many words are also finger spelled vs signed Please update and fix this I will then update my review Ive taken ASL classes up to level 3 and this covers some material thats at a level 3 but some things in this app which are in ASL level 1 for beginners are missing             Better than some JScog

Needs an expanded vocabulary When I type a word it will present me with multiple meanings and ask me which alternate word I meant However if I try to skip this by just entering the alternate word then I get finger spelling I would like a button that re centers the avatar to default pose                 Decent app LadiesMan_217

This app is amazing Though it should have more features like being able to customize your character putting in your age to show curse words using correct ASL grammar or changing the finger spelt words into ASL But other than that it s an EPIC app                 Nice !ยกMINDFREAKยก!

I have been using this app extensively for 7 months and it works well I do see a need for improvement Maybe there can be a added feature that allows you to type in a sentence then have it translated back in sign Most if not all sentences typed come out as English and not asl Also some sign are not what I have been taught as in the translation classes I have taken in school Much improvement need but a great reference for beginners             Time for improvement TC4330

Ok so yes this app doesn t use proper grammar But it does a wonderful job translating signs And some sign is better than none I also love that you can pinch and zoom in and out on the character And if swivel and turn the character to better see whatever sign you want Incredible I would like to see more improvement in the character details Especially his hands That will make it much easier to see also make the character be more fluid and natural Then the app will be perfect Thanks I love it                 I really love this app sometechyguy

It s alright if you have no experience with ASL however it finger spells allot of words and doesn t use proper sentence structure True ASL will drop some regular words typically used in spoken English to save the signer repeating words like the allot Needs to improve on that allot             Issues Gottz2go

I took a chance paying 10 bucks for this app hoping it would do what it said Well I am totally amazed at how great this app is Just like it says type in a sentence and watch the Avatar sign for you with each word you typed below as he signs The 3D feature works great allowing you to turn the Avatar on either side and watch him sign from a side view overhead view or even underneath view Speed him up slow him down and he ll just keep repeating the signs over and over again My wife is an advanced sign lanquage interpreter in our church but I haven t been able to learn from her This app will sign over and over for me and not get frustrated with me lol                     Amazing elman

There are quite a few words I entered that are being finger spelled when I KNOW there is a sign for it swing pumpkin melon There are also some signs that are WRONG rooster chicken My other beef is I wish the speed control would remember its setting between app uses Hopefully all these things will be improved             11 500 words my foot DarkSector7

Missing many useful words If I wanted to spell everything out I wouldn t need an app for that Also treats the words gay and lesbian as if they were swear words and ignores them completely obviously a conscious decision on the part of a homophobic design team How strange and sad that they chose to ignore the needs of gay and lesbian deaf people     Mediocre and not worth the price AdamAppleseed

In my profession of speech language pathology I thought this would be an incredibly worthwhile and convenient app nearly instant availability of signs vs lugging a signing dictionary around stopping to look up unfamiliar signs This was actually one of my first apps purchased and to date months months later at least 50 75 of conmonly occurring signs for which I ve searched have been fingerspelling For an app developed with input from fluent signers I expect to find signs for the words I search I must say though that the avatar and different views available ARE outstanding         Could be amazing 2ndXmom

IT IS AWESOME i mean you dont need carry the fat dictionary book or ASL dictionary book If someone said Hate u check the books looking for Hate i dont know what is mean plus if u go out somewhere read the books or something not sure they have ready ASL for you SOOOO that one not mean ASL like good sign language skills no no same idea The books dont have ASL real same thing that one good app carry with you if they can sign language for you one word or garmra but good thing i learned new word i was like wow this help me more clear with write like t v should we get playing not mean get have other mean too that make sense make me understand and more clear that not mean ASL full deaf curtle that not mean same the dictionary sign language book not show like that i like it hope                     Save life time Deafairy
