Needs alot of work to be done Not worth 199 thats for sure        Not bad but also frustating

Note to the one star reviewer you can add in your own local stores delete the ones you dont want The same with grocery items I spent a little time easily entering receipt and sales ads info noting regular or sale prices from my 3 most used grocers and quickly an organized concise pattern became clear Ive been giving 2 of those stores way too much money No more Very helpful also for onthespot comparisons conversions If they could integrate a shopping list andor pantry inventory they could make all those other apps obsolete                 Saving already

I would really like to give this app a 5 star rating but Im having one BIG issue with it I am trying to do some really serious coupon shopping I usually save at least another 25 over sale prices w couponing but right now this app is calculating the discount and the coupon in the wrong order and this makes a big difference when it comes to calculating the unit price For instance if I have an item that normally retails for 10 but it is currently discounted by 25 AND I have a 200 coupon it should calculate like this 10 25 discountoffered by store 2 my coupon 550 ea Right now this app is calculating as follows 10 2 my coupon THEN 25 discount 600 ea Not the same unit price at all The retail store does not take into account if I have a coupon or not when they offer the 25 discount Why should this app Yes I like being able to pricebook my items on my iPhone and it does a great job at showing the price comparisons I also like the availability of the online interface although even that is still a bit klunky but for me it wont be fully functional until it makes all calculations for all discounts in the correct order For now I will use just the price discount fields and have to still calculate my coupons manually I hope in time I can come back and give this app a better review           Still needs a little tweaking

This is the first app that Ive actually bought for myself and it was well worth it Ive only had this app for a couple of days but I LOVE it Now I have a Price Book that I can take with me without flipping through the pages of my printed price book to compare prices Be sure to watch the Demo videos itll make it easier to learn I learned the harderlonger way p Pros easy to compare prices between brands or stores figures the price per unit when using comparable units no more using a calculator and trying to remember what the price per unit was for each product can input all my data either from my iPhone or on my computer can enter a coupon amount easy to make a shopping list shopping list is categorized by store Cons Product list that Ive typed in on my computer doesnt download to my iPhone but Im sureor at least hope that that can be fixed in a future version Anyway that is what Ive found in the couple of days that Ive been using it I look forward to saving even MORE money on my shopping trips Thanks so much                 GREAT app

I just downloaded this app and I think it has lots of potential but I am frustrated by some klunky andor missing features I expected with a 299 app 1 Entering items on the website should be easier Perhaps having a choice to enter into a form or into a table 2 Should have categories ie snacks canned produce dairy etc 3 Should be able to sort by any input field 4 Discount should be an option for a percentage off or a discount amount 5 Should be able to choose input date Default to today but offer to enter date from earlier receipts 6 Have a couple of userdefined fields Aisle would be one I can think of at the moment 7 Have fields for regular price sale price final price You can only see the final price after hitting save 8 The coupon onoff toggle is redundant You either used a coupon that you entered the value of or you didnt 9 When entering a coupon value on the iPhone the point doesnt make a sound 10 When entering a coupon value on the computer the system doesnt understand 25 and gives an error message of Coupon must be a positive currency amount You must enter 025 11 When entering items into my Prices pressing Enter bops you out back to the home screen Luckily the back button brings you back where you were 12 Uploading and downloading from PC to iPhone only transfers the My Prices data Not the product list and not the store list 13 You cant add a photo from your PC If the developers would work on these suggestions this app would be wonderful Right now I feel like I lost money on an app trying to save money        Almost but not quite

Great concept had hi hopes just added about 30 items and prices and couldnt get app and website to backup then everything disappeared2 hours wasted           Frustrated

Takes a little time to get set up but once you do its easy to use As one reviewer noted it does come loaded with about 5 stores however you can edit this list and add stores that you use I mainly use it for tracking grocery and paper product prices I havent figured out how to delete an item              Good app

Used to work great now crashes every time I try to add a new item or update an old item     Needs fixed

Dozens of price comparison apps do the math on cost per unit You should be able to do most of those calculations in your head As others have described Shopare compares item costs across stores AND over time In the last few weeks for the first time in my long life I have made purchasing decisions based on the powerful pricing information that I have collected with ease I had forgotten what I paid for the app when I realized it was 199 I laughed It easily saves me that on any trip to the grocery store I too would like to see some sort of list function or at least a general notes area in addition to the existing notes field for each item Currently if you maintain your shopping list on your iphone as well having the list outside of the Shopare application highlights the shortcoming of the iphones inability to multitask between apps This enhancement doesnt have to be fancy just a screen to keep a list from which one can seamlessly shift toand from the Product Sort I would normally give Shopare 4 stars and beg for the notes field However I gave it 5 a because its better than good b to balance out the onestar reviewer who couldnt get his head around it If I were connected to the developer would I be outlining Shopares only apparent weakness                 100 return on my investment every time I shop

Its a good price app not just for groceries which is nice It would be nice to alter the unit price units to something of my choice but other than that this app is rock solid                 Best one so far

I need help My app wont load and open Should I delete it and try installing it again Or will they charge me again Any help would be appreciated     Disappointed

It has become a routine when we are in a grocery store that the wife select the products and produce to buy and I do price comparisons on ShoPARE Time and time again I stopped the wife from buying something because the product was much cheaper just a week ago or it is cheaper at another store according the price info I saved in ShoPARE or its comparison results                 Best price comparison app out there

Its almost as frustrating as it is useful Its very awkward to go back and enter additional information regarding a product if its possible at all Scrolling through the entire list to find a product gets very old These are just the first irritations that come to mind If Id known before Id purchased it I wouldnt have bothered        Better than some

If you are at all serious about saving money this is the app for you The very same thing that some are complaining about no predefined categories is what makes it so powerful you get to decide what makes sense for you and the way you shop One or two uses is all it takes to recoup the cost of this app To start using just add a store then start adding items in that store It really is that easy I highly recommend this app to anyone interested in saving money when they shop Sure you do spend some time upfront loading in your own prices categories and brands but the payoff is huge is that sale a real deal or just a marketing ploy Is that a stock up price or should you pass I used to think I had a pretty good idea of my base prices but this app has made me a much better shopper Because sizes and quantities vary so much you can get a true baseline of your best prices Because this is a real database the flexibility is amazing You get to decide how you categorize things do you want all your battery prices under Batteries or do you want to categorize by size AA AAA batteries etc Thats why there are no predefined categories how do they know what you are interested in having on your list and how you want to categorize it It does calculate percentage discounts correctly price minus coupon then the percent discount That is how the stores I shop at determine the percent discount Target Rite Aid Before I bought this app I really did my homework on the available apps and ShoPARE is really in a category by itself It has saved me a lot of money and I really rely on it I have one request for a future enhancement an alphabet selector on the side like the one on the iPhone contact list would be great so that you could zoom right in on a category or item instead of flipping through the whole list Unless you want to use an Excel spreadsheet for your price list this is a MUST HAVE app                 This powerful app will save you money

I think I paid 199 for this app and it has paid for itself several times over I give it 4 stars only because I agree that it could use some updates not the least of which is a way to update info about a product instead of having to delete and enter the product from scratch again Please keep updating This app is on the verge of being great              Pays for itself

You can easily adddelete store names in ShoPARE When you enter a store name for a price record the store name is saved to a store name list You can then easily select it from the wheel picker when you are entering a new price record or editing one You can also go to the More screen and select Stores to add or delete any store                 Developer note

I have been looking for an app that will basically compare items I usually purchase store to store I have wanted to keep track of where different items are cheaper and base my shopping trips according to those numbers This app is great and does almost everything I need I wish they would add a grocery list similar to other apps that I could take with me to the store and mark off as I go Other similar apps dont have the comparison capabilities that I really wanted so thats why I chose this one Give me a grocery list and Ill give it 5 starts for sure              Great App

Crashes upon opening Does not work w iOS 6 Cool App if worked date option added Date is auto added when price info entered Aug 10 update No lags between screens Entering by voice is nice Now u can calculate price by items in pckg Fails as a price book bc no field to enter date No field to enter category No simple calculator Past update Its so frustrating I have bought all the Apps that could be used as a price book from itunes Each one falls short In this App You can not enter in a date for the price The App does an automatic date for when you entered in the data I cant enter in past prices or future prices There is no simple calculator to calculate price Cant sort items by category The only discount you can apply is a percentage You cant calculate price based on how many items are in the package The UI is basic After you enter in store names you can pick each store from a drop down list Brands are also put in a drop down list You can enter in the coupon amount not just check off that a coupon was used to calculate the price I was hesitant to purchase the App bc prior to the most recent update to fix a bug there had been no updates for over 15 years           Needs features but not bad

App contains a list of 6 or so stores Best buy costco target are some of them It has nothing to do with groceries Do not waste your money like I did I think the other reviews might have come from them because this is nothing as stated in the description Buyer beware     Dont wate your money

I have been using Shopare for a couple of weeks now and I have an upgrade idea to make it easier to use and maybe a bug fix that is needed Perhaps these have already been suggested I have not read all reviews first my product list is getting quite lengthy and an easier method to zoom to particular items is neededa search function available right from the product list that narrows focus to product name as letters are entered and I get an error message of sorts when a product has one version that uses ounces and another version uses gallons And liters and ounces wont mix either ie soda bottles vs cans The app asks me to use compatable measurements I thought incompatable measurements were no problem Shopare though has handled my grocery price list well otherwise For more convenience these changes would be great              Upgrade suggestions

Is a decent app for how I use it right now But I sure would use it more if barcode scanning was included Handentering product info can get tiresome if you have a lot of new products to enter I like how on the product list screen I see all storeprice entries for each item Other apps Ive seen force you to find then tapinto a product to see how the price compares across stores I dont have the time for that when Im standing in the aisle With this I can scroll to my item and see the comparisons I need           Needs barcode scanner but good for quick price comparison

This is a great app for creating a price book where you can compare prices for items across different stores and in different sizes I tried a few of them and this is the only one that has an intuitive interface I just found out that it also enables you to create a shopping list as well What more could you ask for This app replaces a cumbersome pricebook spreadsheet for me and works much better It even enables you to enter coupons and toggle them off and on to see how that affects the comparison Much better than trying to look through a spreadsheet on google docs 2 ergonomic suggestions to the developer In the price entry screen move the decimal over to the right just seems like it belongs there And on the quantity screen remove the default to 1 so you dont have to delete it Other than that its perfect Thank you for this awesome app                 Best pricebook app out there

After buying app I was disappointed that I could not PRINT on ePrinter the grocery list I had created on my iPad2 PLEASE add a print function Had to deduct 2 stars for this omission which I feel is a real drawback Program does compare similar items and let you know best value even if products are different sizes at different stores           ShoPare

Very few stores and none for major grocery stores which I thought was the point of unit calculations Top ratings I dont understand     Waste of money

I just spent 299 on this Its a great concept but it keeps closing the app when I search for stores There really needs to be a way to get my money back on this crap     Rip off

I bought the app 1 week back and I already brokeeven on the money spend It is truly a great app I had entered the reciepts from my regular shopping and it clearly showed the price diff This is the first time I am reviewing any app This one is awesome Update noted the comment from the 1 star guy I hve some 50 items groceries and many others and some 15 or so stores You just need to figure it out Dont tell me I am one of the develepors Im not                 Great app Worth the money
