For those who are new to the game think of Sentinels of the multiverse as a card game where DC and Marvel characters and storylines are combined Many of the characters and stories will immediately remind you of someone or something from those two companies This is not to say that this game is some cheap imitation Like a parent and child though they are traits that can be seen in both this game also has it s own heart and soul Now for those of you who might be familiar with the game I use to own the physical boardgame and the shattered timeline expansion The card game was fun but keeping track of the modifiers was a chore Sometimes I would forget to factor in an effect from the villain or enemy card and I would have to go back an undo damage or add damage or apply some specific effect The app is the preferred version that I play now since this fiddly element is completely automated This game is really something special and the developers are quick to fix issues and provide new content This is a game that has legs and you will come back to it in the long run For the great support and fun experience the cost of admission is well worth it Again to the developers and producers thank you once again for this gaming gem                     Actually better than the physical version Pete Legacy

I came upon this by chance looking for TCG games and I decided to try it on a whim It was love at first sight As a Magic The Gathering player this was easy to pick up and learn But that s just scratching the surface Everything about this is amazing I love the comic book atmosphere the heroes the villains everything Love the lore associated with this as well and I can t wait to see more updates and new characters                     Wow Best Thing I ve Come Across in a Long While GameNightBoss

It s an excellent app as far as it goes But it s insanely overpriced because you only get like four or five villains four or five environments and 8 heroes to work with That s not a lot to work with especially considering the apps base price I got this app when it was on sale for 99 cents it s barely worth that much imho this app is NOT worth the full price of 6 99 or whatever it is maybe if they at least included season one expansion pack with it but as is this app is not worth full price         Great app but Jonaboy110

Sentinels of the Multiverse was the board game that got me into hobby gaming Now that I have a young child at home I find it harder and harder to have the time to set up and play the physical game However the Sentinels app has been quite an addition to my digital library I can speed through a game in my spare time and come back to the same setup if I don t have time to finish it in one play session The base game has some of my favorite characters in the whole game and the community for this game in friendly and helpful in finding out the secrets to beating some of the harder villains as well the multitudes of variants that are available Also the developer is faithful in catching bugs and updating everything to make the game functional on phones to tablets even allowing players with different content to still join games and determine together what content to play I ve bought all of the additional content and plan on supporting this developer and game well into the future Do yourself a favor and grab this game as soon as you can                     The Definitive Sentinels Experience Rockette3r

The game is great in that it takes away a lot of the calculations of the card game It is a really fun game and I highly recommend it Please note that the Digital foil hero collectors pack is advertised from their page as new artwork with ANIMATED foil digital effects however there is no animation at all If you move your phone around you will get a slight different hue as if you were holding a real foil card but there most definitely are NO animations These are just 2d alternate artworks with a slight color hue change Outside of that it is still a great game and very fun                 Game is great don t get foil pack IAP Kdl88

The game is fun to play Multiplayer is really well done The only complaint I have is the weekly one shots The decks are predetermined for these so if you can t beat it the first time your strategy becomes memorizing what gets played and when so you can beat it The lack of randomness to it is kind of a let down                 Fun game PV50

After playing a game like Hearthstone this game seems very clunky and convoluted Enemy s hand and your hand are on separate screens Strategy wasn t very apparent Seems like you just picked cards to reduce damage or inflict damage Maybe I didn t give it a chance but I was bored during the tutorial and quit             Not very intuitive jonestkbz

I love this game It is by far my favorite game on the iPhone as well as my favorite ever card game There is amazing depth to this game Nearly endless possibilities when it comes to villain and hero matchups If that wasn t enough there is a weekly one shot kind of like in the comics it is a carefully crafted game challenge of a custom heroes team versus a villain with a backstory When you win you get to bag the cover of the challenge as a keepsake There are different conditions ranging from mint to good based on how many attempts it takes you to beat the challenge Brilliant However with the update I am unable to update Season Pass 1 It wants me to repurchase it when I attempt to download When I attempt to restore purchases it is stuck on Waiting for confirmation Please fix this so I can return to playing this amazing game                     Won t let me update season pass 1 amazing game Mayan Fever

This is a faithful recreation of the actual card game but for significantly less money As a word of warning the DLC is pricey It s way cheaper than buying all the same actual card expansions but some will consider it expensive for App DLC and you kind of need it to really get the full experience That being said the game is still a lot of fun and is definitely worth it                     Faithful Recreation Bishop083

This game is well written The play is enjoyable It takes a lot of thinking and the variety of possibilities is amazing I am amazed that they could accomplish so many card interactions with so few bugs If you ever find one they are responsive and will likely send you emails when the fix is released The whole thing was written to stay true to the heart of the card game and not to nickel and dime you It can crash at times but rarely looses your spot Trust me I have put many many hours on this game The multiplayer works but I usually play on the bus and therefore don t use it much                     Got it Loved it Got it all sockfoot2000

This game definitely speeds things up from the card game variant in real life Not that I have played that but I do have a similar game I like how some of the heroes are spoofs of Marvel DC heroes but still retain originality The game can be hard but with the right strategy and a bit of luck you can win One thing I would like to suggest is that you make a bluetooth multiplayer mode I cannot find Game Center on my new iPhone and I think they removed it A pass the phone multiplayer mode would also be good to give others a taste of the game but you don t have to do that one I am glad you made this and keep the updates comming             Keep those updates coming Review 645$

I ve been a massive fan of SotM since I discovered it about a year and a half ago I now own all of the expansions for the physical game I had played the PC version a bit but I couldn t get into it the way I could for the physical game which I can happily spend an entire weekend on if my friends will let me The phone version though somehow clicks with me far more than the PC version did and I m hopelessly hooked If you ve never played SotM at all it s a really fun and balanced game that rewards good strategy without ever becoming trivial The physical game is best played with friends I love good co op board games though the phone version works just fine solo Different characters do genuinely feel different and while some are a bit stronger than others there aren t any useless heroes though certain villains might counter specific heroes if you aren t prepared and lucky so there s a ton of variety in the way you approach things You won t win every time and that s okay Perseverance does count for a lot though and I ve squeaked out many a close win that looked hopeless just a round or two earlier The decks have more complexity and nuance than you might think at first and it s kind of like playing a CCG where you don t have to have a huge community you don t have to spend a million dollars buying random cards and there aren t any combinations that straight up break the game If you know and love SotM already this app is still worth your time It s really nice to let the computer take care of the details for you fighting Kaargra Warfang is a million times simpler when the computer tallies the titles and the favor points for you and the game is really good about saving your progress automatically so you can easily play for a few minutes here and there without losing anything as all good phone games should do Even seasoned players will find it challenging to unlock all of the variant cards and I had fun doing that The Weekly One Shots are also great because they force me to use character combinations I might not otherwise use which is nice for the variety The game is polished and smooth I ve never had it crash or freeze and it s pretty easy to look at all the cards on the field and see what you re up against The game tracks conditional effects automatically like how many Burst cards are in Tachyon s trash or how much cold damage Absolute Zero has dealt on the current turn both of which are incredibly relevant for some of their respective cards which is really handy for some of the more complex characters There s lots of neat little flourishes and Easter eggs to find definitely keep the sound turned on if you play Guise and the Argent Adept in the same game which is charming My only quibble is that there are a couple edge cases that the computer parses differently than I would like whether Captain Cosmic s constructs that do things when they re damaged still do those things if the damage destroys them I say that they should and the game says they don t Honestly though that s really minor and you won t find most things like that if you don t go looking for them I m looking forward to Season Two which will include the team style villains from the expansions Vengeance and Villains of the Multiverse and it ll be nice to let the computer keep track of all of their interactions for me Even with just Season One though I can t put this app down and I can t recommend it highly enough                     My favorite board game as a top notch app RayjeEliwan

Had the pleasure of discovering the table top game The digital version does a fantastic job representing the game Truly impressive how it keeps track of all the modifiers in the game In addition the music is very good and really helps set the scene Game includes bios for all the characters villains and environments In addition all of the cards can be viewed While this is technically a coop game it makes for a great solo experience It s the only way I have played                     Fantastic Mortar516

So I ve spent about five hours or so playing this The implementation itself is fine It seems stable I ve had no technical issues What I do have issues with though is the game design itself Some of the villain effects are so over the top as to be I win Example I just played a game in which the villain raised EVERY minion I had killed the entire 45 minute game with no cost to himself This was like 12 cards all of which dealt damage to every hero That my friends is poor game design One card should not change an eminent win to a loss One card shouldn t negate the progress of an entire session That s not fun that s random I am thankful though for the 2 99 taste It let me try the game without significant investment If I had spent 34 95 on this for a physical copy I would be mad         Basically fun but poorly balanced baslack

There s a lot going on in this game and I m sure it was really difficult for them to design it to work well on the iPhone but they ve done an incredible job The UI for playing is perfectly done and you have access to everything you need all the time This game also works so well as a phone game that can be picked up any and played for a bit any time My only quibble is that you can t get enough info when you re setting up a game if you haven t memorized which picture goes with which variant then you need to go back to the multiverse screen to look it up and then set up a new game all over again because when you leave the setup screen it starts the game Annoying but I can get over it                     Amazing adaptation to iPhone Supaupaupagoat

Where to start The game It s accessible but complex perfect for quick pick up and play turns but compelling enough to glue you to the screen for hours It s also tough but fair The app This is Blizzard levels of polish super tight intuitive set up that flows quickly and has plenty of options to tweak it to your liking This is a MUST BUY game if you like card games or cape comics                     Polished deep accessible FUN cool calm jon
