You get drawn in by all kinds of hype Spend a lot of time putting your car up on the app taking photos from 12 different angles that you can only do on the spot in one go not upload any preexisting photos from your photo library since you already have a TON side youre already selling the car elsewhere as well filling out all kinds of info then you get ONE horrible offer from a dealer thats nearly 50 of your cars market value Are they joking A total waste of my time and hugely disappointing Like others who reviewed the other side of the companys offerings the TruCar App where buyers can search for cars from dealers this company ONLY SERVES the SCAMMY DEALERS not you the consumer Stay away Avoid this awful nasty insulting wasteoftime business Awful insulting waste of time avoid

The app is fairly easy to use It guides you through the process of appraising your own vehicle You take several photos of the car and give the condition That is all good until you actually get the number back from the so called several dealerships that bid on your car I had already had it appraised at 2 dealerships for 15000 and the price I got from the app was 11800 for my car I feel like I wasted my time with this app Good concept but not executed well by the dealerships

The service is way too new to be useful All you get is low ball offers from less than attractive dealerships Its going to be a long time until the dealer base grows to be competitive enough to make any of this useful Such a shame great concept no execution Too new

All the offers given to me so far were bogus I fully disclosed hail damage to my car photos of each dent When I went to the first dealership with an offer of 4500 and instead was offered 2500 There was no undisclosed damage and they changed the offer drastically The appraiser even showed me MY PICTURES to justify the lower offer THE PICTURES THEY BASED THEIR ORIGINAL OFFER ON I called customer support and they have offered me no accountability for the dealerships offers None Thats no how it should work Was the extent of the support If you want to waste a weekend chasing pretend offers this is the perfect app Disgusting waste of time

This app is a fail Got two error messages neither of which could be resolved by inhouse tech department Currently waiting 72 hours for outofhouse tech to figure it out Good idea bad execution Waste of time

I use true car for their new car buying and was great there It is also great for selling Best way to sell a car
