I bought the drive with the promise of an easy backup over WiFi Conceptually the software does what I need Practically its been a nightmare Previous versions of the app kept disconnecting and failing to backup I suppose poor WiFi signal could be blamed but everything else on my PC that required WiFi seems to work OK The latest version of the app restarts the sync from the beginning every time WiFi has not been the issue How difficult is it keep track of what was synced and what wasnt Does the word md5 mean anything Seagate Please fix and your product will be great Dreadful problems

App works as described I wish there was an option to SYNC over USB directly to my Seagate 1TB Slim drive instead of using WIFI Great app

AND worthless I have to keep app open all the time slow and have to redo the whole process over again if I close the app Not to mention it only downloads about 5 things and just hangs for hours I let it run all night and nothing accomplished I was at a whole 3 once after several tries but thats as far as I ever got Same issue as Abysmals post

The ease of use is 0 stars The time it takes to start the program 0 stars There might as well not even be any help it is so poorly described also 0 stars The only reason I give this program any stars is I think it does back up data although I havent had to restore anything and who knows if I will be able to figure it out forget about using their poor excuse for directions by myself One of the Worst Programs Ive Ever Used

I love this app Its so nice to be able to backup without having to find the cord to connect to the computer And for my husband to backup his phone downstairs while Im using the computer I do wish you could backup with the app in the background It is annoying that I have to keep the app open and lit up otherwise it pauses But other then that great app Love

Must have Our 7 year old has a lot of apps and he likes to take photos and vids make art etc Bought the 5 Tb backup plus drive and this worked like a charm on iPad Feel more secure knowing his memories and stuff are safe Your kids stuff
I dont get it It starts to backup at a decent speed and then gets slower and slower and the times out Virtually useless for my iPhone photos A dialup connection would be faster

The Stars kind of have to align just right for this to work perfectly The backup gets dropped at times Your computer cant be asleep to begin with doesnt automatically wake And the fact that it cant do the backup in the background freeing you to do other things on your phone is inconvenient Particularly irritating is that you have to make sure your phone doesnt go to sleep while its running or else it will stop Technically it functions but it leaves a bit to be desired Functions

this app is pretty much worthless and frustrating since the bulk of my business is through social media I backup a lot of photos and video NO way will this app work on a Mac with an iPhone 6plus I have waisted so much time messing with it that Im not even interested in any new products or services from this company very very disappointed very FRUSTRATING

Ive got the app set to backup periodically automatically but it doesnt The only time it backs up is when the app gives me a message that I havent backed up in 7 days and I do it manually Not Automatic

Times out on large vids Needs documentation if and what to do if a backup fails Does it restart where it left off Does backup that stops at 99 does any of that data get written to slim drive If so when start over is it doubling up on a backup Example you have 10 bus at 99 that are not complete when it does complete do you end up with the same data over and over and thus use up more and more disk space Needs lots of work Need to work on mobile app timing out Needs work

I have a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB which is not a wireless drive I connected it to my laptop and sign in to the Dashboard and the Mobile App Back up using the same Wifi connection Bit it keeps saying Failed Backup because I didnt use the same Wifi connection What is wrong with it Doesnt work at all

Current version starts to back up from the beginning after crashing and It takes for ever to do a back up especially when it doesnt remember what has been synced already I have the app on my note 4 and it works fine Please fix this issue Photo Sync
Running the application on my PC to backup my iPad the application only shows half of the control for the iPad That control does not work Other problems arise during backup Additionally there is no real system level backup This is all very surprising considering this is from Seagate Very poorly written
If these issues would be fixed Id give 5 stars 1 Every time the app updates I have to relogin and reenter my passwords 2 No way to set what day of the week to backup Just every x number of days Only option

Works fine on old iPod touch but on iPad does not log last backup once app is closed and reopened However it does not rebackup everything Would also like an additional option to allow redownload of prior backed up files Version 14140
The app wont complete backups unless your phone is unlocked and actually in the app So this effectively locks up your phone while you stare at the backup screen for hours Realistically who would do this Amazon had a similar issue in their Cloud app but quickly fixed it so that you can prevent your phone from timing out and invoking the lock screen and it will continue the backup in the background while you do other things As is this app is so poorly designed its unusable If youre counting on the mobile backup features as a reason to buy a Seagate drive dont look elsewhere Poor design
