I downloaded this app without noticing the last update was 2 years ago Kudos to the developers that it still runs fine but the articles aren t updated I m not sure why an abandoned app is still in the store with a 4 star rating     No longer updated ShardsOfBlue
Science Today is a solid portal of information regarding our world and universe Users have the option to search by several different categories including Earth Life Technology Sustainability and a few others Users can also search by Articles Videos or both The content feeds aren t long and the app s support has recently been halted but users can still use it in the meantime to learn about the issues mysteries and threats we face and will continue to face             Science Today D. Hill
Such a great app So many amazing articles packed with colorful pics and videos The content is all well written and so interesting Whether your 8 or 80 this app is packed with fascinating stuff to learn about Check out the Penguins tank webcam app they offer too it s so much fun Watch the Penguins swim around and interact with one another in their habitat at the Academy You can even watch when the biologist comes out and feeds them while also teaching the audience about the Penguins twice a day every day                     So interesting Autsy
This app is very educational Looks good It would be great if it has share button So it can be shared on Twitter and Facebook or even send to mail             Good Gamefreak916
Seems like there s more happening in the world of science than one story a day often times less frequent than that         One new story or less per day Lame thegraffix
This is a really well organized science news app Science related news apps are few and far between This one has great potential if it could just get some more users                     Good potential Erinduke
Edit to original review The issue of the frozen gray screen has been addressed and I am enjoying this app Lots of interesting items across scientific fields organized in categories and in one quick and easily accessible location Original review I loved the concept of current science related news being easily accessed in one place The app is very buggy on my iPad though There is a gray overlay help with navigation screen that comes up explaining how to navigate the app You can t exit out of it though so you can t use the app or read the articles Also tapping the info Button takes you to rate or send feedback but cuts back out on its own when you try to do so I like the organization of news into subcategories and so long as the app is regularly updated with ongoing news and the bugs fixed I think it could be great Please fix                 Great Idea execution needs work Eliza00
I like this app Although news updates sometimes get rare Enjoy the app                     Nice One LovePeaceTolerance
The app locks up after sharing an article to social media         Good content poor execution brkbeatjunkie
Love the app Everyone needs to be more scientifically literate Please give the option of landscape view Holding the iPad vertically feels so strange Give the user an option             Landscape View Rationalist/Pragmatist
Keyboard overlays prevents completion of posting articles to Facebook             Posting problem Bob34347
App has been fixed and I like it Good interface and good articles                 Better Ok donkey
Earlier I read reviews of this app Quite a many user seemed unsatisfied But I found no problem with this app after using it even when I m using iPad mini retina display I guess this is the wonder of the latest update The only reason I m giving it a 4star not 5 is the simple reason that I ve not yet checked the contents of the articles                 Works Just Fine Helldestroyer
Thanks for the update for iPad users Was going to give poor rate for initial install for overlay bug that only teased for content you could see and not view High marks to the team for putting the work in to develop a beautiful app                 Thank you BishopWindu
I couldn t open it     Crushes ÖzgĂźr the Magnificent
As stated by many the grey overlay that won t take no for an answer is torturous It really looks like something I could get into if the blindfold was just a little more opaque I do have limits for pain so fix this and I will submit to 5 stars             50 Shades of Grey Simulation: Fu3aR2016+4
on the iPad you can remove the tutorial screen by pinching through the middle of the screen I discovered this by playing with the app                     get rid of the tutorial screen by pinching eddie_r
I downloaded this app because it looked very interesting but like another review stated there are tutorial instructions on top of a gray film that can t be closed so it makes the app useless Didn t the developers test this before throwing it out for public use It s obvious they didn t I deleted the app but if they come out with a fix which the app shouldn t have been made available the way it is now perhaps I will try it again but as it is it s useless Dissatisfied     Needs fix Nemviper
But the sound doesn t work for some video links             Great Trippystar
I just downloaded this app with some apprehension because of the reviews about not being able to close the tutorial overlay when running the app on iPad Sure enough when the app opened a gray film was over the entire page I tried poking the button up on the upper left I believe an option to filter article type The overlay went away and I was looking at the menu of article thumbnails I closed the app reopened it and no tutorial overlay appeared It s working just fine on my iPad now Maybe choosing any button closes the tutorial while just scrolling or closing and reopening the app doesn t get rid of it I am running iOS 7 but I think it would be the same in iOS8                     How to close tutorial pixelannie
The over lay doesn t go away     Science Brian 52
An app ABOUT cutting edge science and they can t remove the grey tutorial screen by now     Give me a break Foothill walker
As with many others the grey screen doesn t disappear on the iPad Air     Grey screen Grammielilx2
Took the time to download but it will not work on my iPad So what good is it     Not worth the time to buggy Tomuchtrouble
I am completely unable to get out of demo mode showing the instructions on the screen I can find no way to turn them off so I can not use the app at all Oh well I m sure they might fix it someday     Broken too bad Lopt_unbound
This app has been out a little while now and works fine on iPhones you can tell the reviews from iPhone only users since they re the ones who say they don t know what the bad reviews are talking about On an iPad on the other hand yep I have both as you can tell there are tutorial instructions on top of a gray film that hides all the articles which is fine when the app is first opened but there s no way to close or dismiss the tutorial on an iPad nor does it automatically disappear on subsequent startups as happens with many apps So until an update with a fix is released it s useless to iPad users at least for most models of iPad Release that update soon guys please             Needs bug fix for iPads ASAP DominoCA
I ve been looking for an app like this for a long time Being able to quickly find science info and doing so in a succinct manner is a great idea Unfortunately as many have mentioned the bugs make it near useless Like others once there is a bug fix there will be much rejoicing with this user as well as two extra stars             Great Idea When Fixed x_bruce
I downloaded this app last night and was so excited at the prospect of such an innovative idea for news I loved the idea of having science based news available in one convenient place as I m naturally curious minded so I opened it immediately upon download Sadly even after the initial starting of the app the tutorial page wouldn t disappear I tried turning my device off and on closing and reopening the app and nothing I d rather not view my news through a grey haze So while this app looks fantastic it has a long buggy road to greatness though I have no doubt that in time it will reach its full potential         On The Road To Being A Great App Poisoned Wolfe
Poorly built app Very disappointing I do love Science mags But this should not be out yet I deleted it 5 mins later FYI this is on the largest drive cellular capable new iPad Mini I have no other app problems     Was not able to use it once opened HeadHunter
Will not clear tutorial screen overlay Find a new developer and tester as this should never have been released to production     Junk app on iPad Air Bs89406
As other reviews state the intro dialogues won t go away so the app is useless The developers should at least monitor the app store to see if anybody is able to use their app Using IOS 8 on an iPad Mini by the way     Doesn t work bfaylor
Very fluid and informative                     Awesome Smokinjoe2122
Articles are succinct and provide great insight into the beauty of many facets of science                     Quick and concise monique2
Never gets out of tutorial mode     not working BillZen
The app offers a relatively well designed way to review recent science news My one complaint is that the i info button on pictures graphics does nothing I had hoped it would show a zoomable version of the pics I could not replicate the gray overlay many other reviewers cite Perhaps that s an artifact of the device the were using                 Works OK on iPhone 5s Ambiverbal
Makers didn t check all iOS platform and missed out iPad Completely unusable because aggressive tutorial doesn t go away     No quality check Henk van Ess
Grey screen won t go away     Deleted it MarvLim
I have the issue with the tutorial screen Just deleted and reloaded it on my iPad Air 2 Otherwise I m very happy with this app so I only took off one star I m sure there will be a bug fix in the future so I can be patient I love space articles and the fact that I can weed out video makes me thrilled My husband is a programmer so the bugs are easily forgivable Will be using in my daughters homeschool                 Buggy But on its way to greatness MomtoEmikatnDClaire
Like other reviewers the gray training screen never goes away so the content is unaccessible A disappointment     Can t use on iPad Amandacbinhouston
Tutorial gray screen others are mentioning won t dismiss on iPad         No go on iPad Indy Don
No amount of tapping scrolling or even app reinstalling will make the intro help screen go away You re stuck with an all gray overlay which obscures all the contents Why release untested code Did any of the developers bother to try this on an iPad Obviously not     Intro screen will not dismiss on iPad 2 Topsailbeach
I initially downloaded he app and had the grey film tutorial on the screen and wouldn t go away I deleted and downloaded the app again and now works fine Some interesting articles                 Works on my iPad mini retina Davidbartender

The tutorial menu won t go away Please fixxxxx If it did im sure I would give this app 5 stars     Tutorial menu Hammyyyyyy
Yes other reviewers are correct the tutorial screen doesn t go away on my iPad It s a pity because it s great on the phone I m hoping the developers are reading these comments and fix it because it s great content             Works on phone but not iPad MGM61
App is useless without a fix     Should have listened Bob6250
Will not clear tutorial screen overlay Find a new developer and tester as this should never have been released to production     Junk app on iPad Air
The tutorial wouldnt close so a gray film covered the articles I deleted the app and downloaded it again A tap in the center of the screen and the tutorial closed It does have to tapped on each time a new article is viewed Other than that it is a great app              Gray film
Articles are succinct and provide great insight into the beauty of many facets of science                 Quick and concise
