Negative reviews are from people who have bad equipment most likely This app works and Ive had no problems with it I run an Apple iPad Air and an iPhone 6 with this app My wifi router is also from Apple The updated app also helps for those who try it with the wrong Samsung SmartCam app Everything on the SmartCam also works great Thanks Samsung for a great camera It Works Great
I was looking forward to installing the software and seeing what the camera can do Unfortunately after I downloaded the software it told me to look for the integrated version and there is not one in the App Store that I can find I cant even create a user account I called tech support and I am told they will call me back sometime today Sorry but if I cant take out the item that I purchase and make it work following directions its useless to me I will purchase another product thats much better rated Awful
I found this item moderately easy to set up Loved the wide viewing angle and basic sound and recording features Too bad that the samsung servers that are needed to service this system are so inadequate to meet even moderate use Experienced quick disconnects and could only get server service about 20 percent of the time Sorry but will need to return it since I cannot use it most of the time Samsung dumbcam
Just like Samsung phones great hardware is hobbled by half baked software Like most my primary objective was to video monitor a location The gyrations required by this app make a quick look a long process Why cant I open the app and immediately see a live view Landscape orientation is poorly supported on the iPad I wish I could use other software but I cant connect Terrible
Im quite happy with the app for the most part What I can understand is why every single time you decide to PUSH a notification when the app opens it crashes when I hit okay and click on dont show this again So basically this app is a BRICK until someone decides to get off their keister and disable the notice Or better yet how about someone check the coding before they push out a notice Theres a thought Will update accordingly after I see is fixed Crashes with every notification Really
When the app is first opened there is a note saying this version has been replaced with an integrated version But a brief search shows no such thing as an integrated version Next 1 of 2 windows open saying either the server is down or the server will connect but is unstable Then the app crashes App crashes before login
fix thisit used to work fine a year ago the new firmware is not working BIG FREEZE
Cannot connect to server That is what I get both on wifi and cellular networks And apparently this is the only way to set up the camera I am extremely disappointed Cannot connect to server

Im ok with the camera I bought it at Costco for 99 The image is as good as the 199 Nest Im operating on iPad Air and iPhone 6 The app is cumbersome and quirky I lose connection with the camera for no apparent reason then have to go back in and reconnect to wifi reenter passwords etc If Samsung could come up with a decent app they would have a very viable mobile surveillance camera As it is nowIm only keeping it because its a great 99 camera and there is no cloud cost like Nest has Pretty weak app
The camera is great but the app does not offer enough alerts for use as a baby camera It is not as functional or easy to use as dropcam I hope Samsung updates the app and adds more featuresoptions to it Less than ideal app
Like 90 of the reviews here say This app is not just bad it does not work at all Initial popup message followed by a crash every time They should not be able to say they have an iPad app The iPhone app is not good but at least it is functional iPad version of this app does not work Tried on 2 iPads with different IOS versions

Im back on this for a second review Im overseas at the moment and the first 3 days I didnt have any problems logging in However like many of other reviews Im having the same problem I bought this smartcam for the reasonable price easy to install and the quality of the video was pretty clear I liked it so much that I purchased a second one I am so furious right now My long trip was the reason for installing the camera but I cant even use it Im returning my two smartcams as soon as I get back home Cant login their App needs a lot of work
You will not be able to go entire night without an app freeze or complete disconnect Network disconnects
After a year of working just fine now a message pops up telling you you need to load a nonexistent integrated version then it completely crashes when you try to close the next message informing you that picassa doesnt work anymore If they had fixed it after a few days it would only be annoying but after a month of innattention this is beyond belief Ill never buy another Samsung product of any kind Completely worthless
This camera seems like it was the perfect solution Initially it worked fine but after a couple of weeks we would repeatedly loose the connection and had to reconnect with several passwords on each of four different devices This made it unreliable and we had to return it Also every time I started the app it kept telling me to get the upgraded integrated version of the app When I searched online there was no such thing I had to return it
Using this app on an iPad 4 Overall a decent app once I found the option to turn off app asking for camera password every time I wanted to view When I turn iPad to view in landscape viewer fills up the screen which changes the resolution to match the IPad The result is a squished picture It should have been designed to keep the viewer in widescreen mode It would have the black bars above and below but at least the picture would not be distorted and unnatural Please update to fix this iPad landscape orientation distorted
First of all I get a message about downloading an integrated Smartcam app which I cannot find in the App Store then there is the Picasa message that crashes the app when I click on the OK button Pretty much a worthless app cause I cannot use it at all Fix it Cannot login
