Rolling Stone comes to life on the iPad with all the breaking music news, hot album and movie reviews, must-read rock star profiles and in-depth national affairs reporting you love in the magazine. Plus, ...
App is the worst I ve ever used In the last 2 3 years I have had to delete the app and reinstall just to download my magazine countless times I have subscribed to Rolling Stone since 1974 and WILL NOT renew my online subscription     Horrible app KoL Maniac
The magazine comes out monthly and every time I launch the app it asks me whether I want the app to restore my purchase I click yes Then it advises me that it might take a minute Why in 2018 is the experience so bad     Want to love it but can t Utahdude
Cannot open the magazine after the Apple update App won t let me restore purchases either     Heads should roll Fhillsbhg
Always asking me to subscribe Waste of time and money     App Does Not Work Anymore danmarsh
RS says talk to Apple and Apple says talk to RS     No longer works Crashvictim
On a medium that has far less distribution costs 1 word answer Nope     A second payment for the same content greebs
Zero Longtime subscriber unable to read an issue since 10 5 2017 I have wrote the publisher via email and deleted then reinstalled the app This is bull hit iTunes subscribers are get the shaft There has been no communication as to potential problems or a possible solution Just radio silence I will add this to my list of one way communications leading to the cancellation of my subscription     Apple subscription restore does not work for active subscriptions DENToad
Just horrible I wasted my money on a subscription     Horrible Carl Burns
Ugh Update this app Needs to be compatible with iOS 11 I know APPLE seems to have control over magazine apps Apple you stink at it What r u doing with the money you get from publishers You deliver a product that doesn t work FIX IT     I can t open the issues I ve purchased Boo1787
I haven t been able to load my last 4 issues of RS on my iPad Customer service keeps directing me to ITunes through which I bought the subscription I finally spoke to a RS agent today and was told that they ve discontinued the app for iPad Funny that their still taking my money Come on RS you can do better     Garbage Deathramps1
This app is terrible Every time it updates I have to call Apple to help restore the subscription I hung on for another year s subscription and this app has not improved at all I wonder if the creators of the app or the magazine have even ever tried to use it     Terrible patriksean
I own a subscription for a year and I ve had it for a few years But this past year has been awful with downloading the next issue I have missed like 1 2 this year and won t renew next year I try to sign in and it won t let me Very frustrating and for some reason not easy to use     Awful Scoot70
Seems to work ok for me             Function Nomo4557
I don t know what the problem is but the only way I can get to any of the RS issues is to pay for them again I ve tried logging on several time and the app still won t let me view issues I ve already paid for I m about to give up 4 8 2017 Still having problems I discovered if I remove and then reinstall the RS app I can download the latest issues 9 2 2017 Too much trouble I got some issues by reinstalling the app but still can t get others unless I purchase single issues in addition to my yearly subscription Just not going to do it I quit Bye Rolling Stone Let me know when you have an app that works     Can t get any of the issues I ve already paid for GeoJoe17
Doesn t recognize my purchases have to do all kinds of tricks to get the current magazine to download A pain     Can t download magazines Trash13456
After multiple calls to apple support RS I cannot download issues any issues for the past 8 months THIS AP IS A CHARITY This experience has poisoned the water for me and any digital magazine content If you have an extra 20 laying you would like to make a free will donation to Apple and is the AP for you nothing in return but the great feeling of getting completely hosed     CANCELED SUBSCRIPTION won t download issues SleepyJuice
This app is perfect for someone like me who wants to read my favorite magazine anywhere anytime The app is lightning fast the pages are always crisp clear I completely recommend this one                     Perfection tharidgeman
Updating my review and increasing rating since today I m able to download issues The app itself is fine from what I can tell more or less a page by page version of the hard copy version Edit back to one star App is incapable of recognizing that I have a subscription no matter how many times I try to restore purchase I have turned off auto renew subscription and will be giving up on this magazine because of this app Bye     Broken update fixed Chadiver
Rolling Stones continues to Roll downhill further and further     Trash app like their trash publications Captain jackin'
Just won t update new magazines Customer help won t load Frustrated and sorry that I subscribed I know the magazine is good but not on this app Waste of money Follow up Apple were great and gave me my money back Rolling Stone were worse than useless very useless and avoided all responsibility Their loss My recommendation gave your hard earned cash to someone that cares     Won t load new content november169
all issues appear but only some allow downloading and reading others offer a preview with the option to buy iTunes support referred me to the vendor and the vendor doesn t offer support but referred me back to iTunes support consequently a problem with a subscription I paid for without a solution refund option or support     app only works sometimes no support Leave open on the desktop
I hate this app as much as I love RS     Constantly annoying Earl21
I ve been a loyal reader for years and as much as it pains me to delete this app I must because I HAVEN T BEEN ABLE TO READ CONTENT THROUGH IT FOR OVER A YEAR Have you tried to contact the app developer Don t bother The form doesn t work The link to Click here to see answers to the most frequently asked questions doesn t work So I m going to email bomb every email address at Rolling Stone that I can to try and get them to get a decent app developer to provide a good app for their publication because Werner Media whoever they are ain t it The worst part is that Wenner Media is the owner publisher of Rolling Stone They clearly don t have the resources in house to write a good app and provide proper support for it I wish RS would look to the app writers for Wired or The Atlantic for a model that supports paid subscribers and allows free limited browsing for casuals     Why can t you give zero stars to an app Cloudster
Mag ok APP not     Not impressed Charlie2Lema1
My apple account says I have a subscription until July 20th But the app won t let me download new issues says I have to subscribe or buy Apple is no help with this issue Rolling Stone even less Steer clear of this     This app stinks Feetpiper
I am subscriber for life So I will always get the print version Will not pay for digital as well I now read all my mags on iPad so find I don t even read my print issue anymore Sad     RipOff ProtexBlue
This app is really buggy and honestly one of the most low effort apps I have ever seen They don t update and apparently don t listen to their subscriber base I ve been able to sign in once when I first downloaded it almost two months ago I subscribed and was able to download one issue before it crashed on me I was signed out and I have not been able to sign back in since I keep it on my phone so I can try over and over to restore my purchases to no avail And the best part is I keep getting billed for having a service I cannot access Stick to the paper version     Terrible The soundtrack
Why cant print subscribers get the digital edition why would we want to pay two times to see RS
Are you kidding Every other decent magazine out there allows for their print subscribers to be digital subscribers as wellweak sauce     No Access for Print Subscribers
I subscribe to the bi weekly why do I need to PAY for this too No love for paid subscribers     Double Dip
Making an e reader that looks like a mag means you lose all the benefits of being digital This app is an example of why the print news industry is failing in the transition to e publishing Scrap it and start from scratch Look at ny times app for some ideas     Still hanging on to old print style
Doesnt work with iOS 8 Subscribed Tuesday will be canceling today Thank goodness for 1 month preview Was really great before iOS update     No longer works
Cannot open the magazine after the Apple update App wont let me restore purchases either     IOS8
Not going to pay twice for the same content Trying to understand what the goal is here other than to aggravate loyal print customers If thats it youve succeeded     Seriously no access for print subscribers
Cant believe this Such a ripoff I pay to have the print subscription and you want me to pay to have the digital subscription as well No thank you Rolling Sleaze I only rated it one star because you cant rate it no stars Dont waste your storage space by downloading this     You want me to pay TWICE
Bought a subscription two days ago I figured I and my spouse would be able to read it on our respective iPads as we both use the same iTunes account Wrong I called Rolling Stone and was told there is a no sharing policy for the app I said it would be a cold day in hell if you expect me to pony up another 1999 for another iPad subscription within my own family We both can share multiple magazines we each have on our iPads but not this one I have no ideal which MBA genius came up with this model but they should be sent rolling out the door     Forget sharing with your spouse or family member
As a long time subscriber I was really looking forward to iPad release only to be disappointed that they wanted me to pay again     Where is the love
NO ACCESS FOR PRINT SUBSCRIBERS Behind the times Happy to give app a higher rating when this is fixed Im on a multiyear subscription to the print edition     As others said
Long time print subscriber Installed iPad app assuming I could link print subscription Wrong Called RS HQ for help Was told print subs must repurchase iPad sub Not fracking cool No way am I paying twice for same content Shame on you RS     Not cool
A print subscription does NOT include digital access The FAQ states that archives are available to print subscribers but the link goes to a system error     Archive access for print subscribers not available
This app is unstable Otherwise good prices and content           Keeps crashing
Just read most of the current issue and had to write to say how fantastic I think this digital version of Stone is So easy to read no bugs noticed and the photos are ridiculously vividbeautiful Im old school in many ways but I can see myself purchasing these digital issues from now on Well Done                 Fantastic
No digital for print subscribers Great magazine and all but I do wish I could have have it on my iPad and not have to subscribe again to a digital version     No digital for print subscribers
Wont even let me subscribe     Seriously bad app
Im a long time subscriber and got the app thinking I could read my magazines but apparently you have to buy the issues Deleting the app now     Whats the point
The new version requires iOS 6 which removes those of us with the first generation iPads from their reader list Did anyone at Wenner Media think through the ramifications of this move Eventually I will upgrade my iPad But I will NOT be adding the Rolling Stone app when I do     Leaving first gen iPad users in the cold
Shame on you Rolling Stone for not letting your print subscribers enjoy an ecopy I wont renew     Print Subscriber for 30 years
Kim Kevin I thought this mag was about music and the people that make it Speaking of people Im going to sub scribe to that rag and skip this one Same content     What happened to the musicians
Im not going to pay twice to read the same thing Its nearly universal that print subscriptiondigital edition     Get with it
Kind of behind the times on this one     What No digital edition free for priNt subscribers
Print subscribers are unable to download digital versions Not worth it     Print Version Doesnt Transfer
Really really putting that piece of kardsh crap on the cover thats it no more subscription from me shame on you Rolling Stone     Cancelling subscription after this cover with that piece of kardh crap on it
The digital magazine was great until the update to iOS 8 Now issues cant be downloaded        Pretty good until the iOS update
Hey youre a loyal rolling stone subscriber who is excited to be living in the digital age You have a print subscription but you left your hard copy on the bathroom floor and now youre at the dentist waiting for your root canal Want to finish that awesome halfread article by Taibbi on your phonetablet Too bad Youll have to buy the magazine again Yes thats right your subscription doesnt count when it comes to this app Rolling Stone wants you to be either a full Luddite or full 21st century digital humanoid You cant be both unless of course you want to pay Jann twice     Double dipping
Downloaded the app then spent 499 on current issue Issue never came up on iPad just a blurred preview of the issue Total waist of time and Im out 499     Complete rip off
The library should only show the copies Ive actually purchased Instead every time I open the app I have to scroll through ALL the issues currently available to find the ones Ive actually purchased Rotten     Library Layout
Rolling Stone is still stuck in the 20th century in not allowing print subscribers access to the iPad issues Get with it Rolling Stone and recognize that your loyal print subscribers are helping keeping you afloat When my print subscription expires Im not renewing AND Im not buying your stupid iPad subscription     Antiquated app
i love rolling stone                 Yeah
Why do I need to pay for BOTH print and digital version Its the SAME EXACT magazine Not even a discount Many other magazines provide both in one price Wired Time Magazine etc And guess what I keep RENEWING my subscriptions with them     Must pay for BOTH print and digital version its the same magazine isnt it
UNBELIEVABLE     IOS 8 update but no print subscriber inclusion yet
So you charged my account 199 fir my subscription automatically No big deal So I downloaded the September 112014 issue Wasnt done reading it I go into it today and now it says it cant download I cant read it but you charged me Please say this is because of the iOS 8 thing Cuz this was an excellent magazine til now           Was good until
Really dumb that I cannot get a digital copy with my current print subscription Entertainment Weekly Sports Illustrated and many others allow a free digital edition Get with it RS     No Digital with Print
There seems to be some major problems accessing the digital archives which are supposed to be included with a physical subscription There is no way to create an account to gain access to these archiveslots of error messages and improper redirects Hopefully they will get this fixed soon     Major Problems
I purchased 3 print subscriptions only to find out theres no digital access for print subscribers After lying and fabricating the UVA story Rolling Stone needs to do something to restore confidence in readers and providing digital access to print subscribers would be a step in the right direction     Huge mistake subscribing to RS
Instead of downloading the latest issue that I paid for the app now tells me I need a newer version of the Rolling Stone app I updated to the latest version that will run on my iPad but the newest issues still dont work I would already have a newer iPad except that iOS 7 made me want to puke on the display model iPad at the Apple Store not buy it I just want my Rolling Stone Not having to deal with this kind of technical crap is why I thought I bought an iPad in the first place but Apple and Rolling Stone have proven me wrong     Stopped working midsubscription
Because thats whats gonna happen     Guess They Want Me To Cancel My Print Subscription
Paying for a subscription that is now unusable With the changes to the app I cant get the copies of Rolling Stoneyou know the ones that Im locked into paying for till March Its bait and switch Im not about to buy a new iPad and there doesnt seem to be any mechanism to get a refund on my subscription I really wonder if anyone bothered to see how many of us are still using first generation iPads     You know whats not at all cool
Not free for print subscribers Delete     Should have read the reviews first
App still does not support iPhone 6 Plus which is ridiculous Rolling Stone the magazine has great content but this app wont let me access it on my device of choice Weak Im sadly ending my subscription Seriously people Ill be back when you fix it     Great magazine app experience but breaks on RSs Flashheavy website
Weak Been a print subscriber for years but I have to pay to read the issues that Ive already paid for Not cool     No access with print subscription
When I saw Ron Burgandys smiling face on the App Store Rolling Stone iPad app I was ecstatic I quickly installed it and went to get my print subscription to look for my customer code or whatever to put it into this app I knew for years that Rolling Stone have been talking about getting on the App Store and the day had finally arrived I was very disappointed to find out that not only could I not view the several years of subscriptions that I had already bought and paid for but I would have to pay an additional subscription to see them on the iPad They offer access to the archives which is not anywhere near the same thing as being operational on an app You need to check out SPIN magazines App They do it properly This app was a tremendous letdown and Im disappointed in Jann Wenner and the entire Rolling Stone IT development staff I am going to miss the great articles by Matt Taibbi Way to stick it to your loyal customers Rolling Stone     So excited then so let down
Weak     No digital edition for print subscribers
No longer supported on 1st generation iPad So now that my subscription renewed I cannot read magazine FIX THIS I read magazine on my 1st generation so I see the writing Seriously are you guys going to fix this Is there going to be an apple 60 update Come on now     Upset
I dont get this why isnt the download edition available for computers I dont have an iPad or iPhone I just want to read it on my bigger screen computer With Scientific American you just download a PDF of the current or archived mag           Computer addition
Hey Rolling Stone advertisers do you want to get your ads seen in more places by more people If so you should advertise somewhere else because RS is determined to make iPad access as painful as possible for its print subscriber base Thats right If current subscribers want to read issues both in hard copy and digital form they have to pony up extra for the iPad edition What percentage of subscribers do you suppose would go for that One percent Two maybe Contrast Print subscribers to The New Yorker can download years worth of issues they might never have received in the mail Such service makes the magazines premium subscription rate easy to justify Generosity begets generosity cheapness begets cheapness     Demand for extra from print subscribers makes no
Cant download any issues since IOS8 updateplease advise     Awful
Still no love for print subscribers from Rolling Stones I subscribe to over 20 print mags Each everyone provides access to iTunes digital editions except Rolling Stone Are you really that hard up for cash What a greedy and insulting way to treat your most loyal readers Beyond disappointed     Rolling Stones Hates Their Print Subscribers
