Rocket Math - Basic Math Facts Fun Learning Game for elementary kids grades kindergarten to 5th

Well I had 2 kids using the app It was helping since their school uses it for timed tests I purchased both apps for the year Unfortunately the app freezes at level L It wont let them move on I deleted and redownloaded it and it still wont work So I am out the money and need to find another app for timed tests frustrated     In app purchase didnt work

Great app for kids who know their math facts but are too slow with them When facts are slow the rest of their procedural math suffers Written by educators with years of experience this app doesnt disappoint Some of the parental controls are hidden which reduces kid distraction but isnt intuitive to find for parents We also love the pencil and paper materials from this developer Mastering Alphabetic Spelling and Word Problems Made Easy Hopefully these will become apps someday too                 Math facts but faster

Great app and is good to learn by but the main draw back that you are forced to start at the beginning of addition There should be an option in parent mode to set the starting level to fit where the child is I bought the app to help my daughter finish up addition but could not use it because I was not going to go through all the levels on my own to catch it up to her Now she started subtraction and I cant skip her to start therefrustrating           Great but

My child loves the app but for some reason it reset He now has to start from the beginning and thats not where he is at school I wish I could pick the level he is at school           Wish I could customize

I dont understand the point of the 30 minutes break after 2 levelsmy son easily does his multiplication facts 112 with flash cards in 3 minuteson top of that you are having to pay for simple math equations done poorly Sigh I was hoping to give him something other than flash cards to practice with     Sigh

I downloaded this App for my kids a very well designed App with a lot of features I tried to see how it works and it definitely has a unique way of helping children learn math facts in a fun and intuitive way Good work                 Educational

I like to sit with my six year old son and do this app Its definitely something I like to do with him I like how it encourages kids to memorize math facts so theyre rote and that the app does it in a structured way My son finds it really motivating too                 I like it

Paid for in app purchase to continue addition and still cannot progress What the heck did I spend 2 on     Frustrating

The overall pedagogical approach of Rocket Math is good I am not a fan of how it is implemented in this app Consumers should know it isnt a fee app Its a shell that you have to fill with purchased functionality The usability is not great For example users have the option of clicking a check mark after answering to get the app to recognize their answer however it is not clear that clicking the check mark is not required Trying to type the correct answer and then click the check mark is stressful and tedious when doing a timed task Overall the app is too hard to use Its too easy to make mistakes even I an adult make mistakes entering answers to facts I know which puts users in a situation where they are receiving excess negative feedback Both my children who are avid iPhone users prefer paper flash cards Another issue It was difficult to access the screen that lets you set up different profiles for different users go to the screen that says choose your mission click on the circle in the upper left corner then select parent options Finally sometimes the app requires a 30 minute break and does not allow change of users during this time This is inconvenient when I want my children to practice with the app one after the other           Usability not great

Three of my kids are using it and a student I am supervising at central Michigan university evaluated its effectiveness for his thesis project In short it was found to be very effective at improving accuracy and fluency of math facts                 Works very well

HATE is a strong word My 1star reflects a scale on usefulness in a classroom Our school has Rocket Math and I purchased this app thinking it would be another useful way to incorporate into centers or small groups However this app only allows for 2 or 3 students max Unless you are 11 or do not want to view progress and students accountable for their independent practice this app is not worth the small fee PLEASE follow most educational apps and allow for groups of at least 2030 so a classroom can use this on shared devices     Please dont be so stingy

If your kids cant get it in 2 seconds it buzzes wont let you put in the correct number for several seconds Then it locks up Its awful Dont purchase it Im sorry I did     Awful

Cant get it to work without crashing on iPad Also having trouble with the settings page after purchase on iPad Doesnt seem to register that I purchased addition and subtraction           Engaging but buggy on iPad

This app is great for younger kids in elementary who are just starting out to learn the basic of adding subtractionmultiplication and dividing Its well put together and works great                 Great for younger children

You can not switch back and forth between students once the time has expired I have no problem with making a child take a break but while hes having a break another child should be able to pick it up and use the app under their name why have multiple users if they do not operate independently Also you can not toggle back and forth between addition and subtraction etc You must finish addition before you start subtraction I teach addition and subtraction together so it would make more sense if both could be practiced before mastery of only one Useless app for these reasons     Total waste of money

Im 10 and they made me choose from addition to multiplication and Im fine with either one but the thing that annoyed me the most is that sometimes when I pass a new level the screen just turns black              Its great but

There are many small steps to success which makes it fun Because of the careful design you are really able to memorize facts you never mastered before                 Fun and educational

Ive been looking for an app to compliment the Mastering Math Facts used by my sons school for at home practice I thought I found the one when I found this official version Other than displaying math facts based on the sets I see nothing else in common I would think there would be a practice and a test mode just like in class All I see is the practice mode The test mode speedfluency is the part my son needs more practice with Sadly Ill have to find a different app to practice that part        really SLOW for a math fluency app

My son at first said he didnt want to do math but then he was successful and said This is actually fun Then he wanted to keep playing He asked me to call him after the forced 30 minute break so he could play some more He passed several levels on the first day I found the reset and control page by tapping three times on the bolt at the top of the go screen which enabled me to put in his name and others as well                 Captures interest with success

This app has been a godsend Our grade level has used the paper and pencil version of the program for a couple of years with great success This app aligns with the traditional program with the added benefit of allowing students to proceed through the program at their own pace andwait for itending the need for correcting daily tests Hallelujah Thank you for creating this app                 Thank you

This app goes perfectly with the rocket math paper pencil practice that we do every day My only negative is that my students that have other devices cant get it because it is only available for Apple products Please make a version for the play store                 Love it

The developers need to let consumers know that the app is free up to level K of addition After that its 199 to finish addition and get subtraction and another 199 to get multiplication and division Inapp purchases usually refer to optional purchases not required purchases I would give it a 5 if it werent for that serious omission My child has fought practicing rocket math at home and this app has my child walking in the door from school asking to play it           Not a free app

With summer here kids are doing a lot of screen And I would let my six yr old do RocketMath than other games He likes to keep advancing to next level and he is learning on the way Really likes when a letter explodes and reveals a bit more of the rocket stickerposter                 My six yr old loves it

This all is great It helps my kids learn but it also lets the have fun They actually want to play this game It makes my life a lot easier then having to hassle them to do math I love it                 Great

I purchased this for my school iPad in hopes I could use it to complement Rocket Math curriculum By being forced to start at A its fairly useless I paid for the in app purchase option believing I could start my students at the appropriate level but you cant Total waste of money     It would be nice to start at the appropriate level

tutorial Despite figuring it out by trial and error a tutorial would be nice Information like how to operate app steps needed to advance to next set and how many seconds to answer what happens when you wrong answer is entered what happens when you get 3 X etc choose your mission Would prefer to choose set under parent setting Its a bit tedious to accomplish the set missions just to reach set the child is currently taking Missions would prefer last mission to resemble the actually times test with 40 questions share your childs achievements the PDF file attached to messageemail would be relevant if it was a congratulation certificate with childs name at name of set and related math facts accomplished The current PDF of the space ship is disappointing keypad would be better if screen could convert horizontally A horizontal screen would allow for larger number buttons For example left button back space center two rows of numbers right button enter ending mission an end mission button would be nice Need to complete mission to escape My child is currently on addition but at times would like to switch it up and let her practice multiplication Not sure how all schools approach rocket math mine has to go through addition and subtraction sets each year She doesnt need to practice them as much as she needs the multiplication She needs a refresher for set she is on and then work on multiplication Overall rocket math is tedious and boring I applaud the effort to make studying them fun The functionality needs improvement     Good idea needs improvement

Have used the paper pencil version of math facts for yearsthis is a godsend My kids can get instant feedback and the 1on1support they need They are hooked and even more motivated Super                 Awesomeness

This needs to be easier to put on multiple iPads I love the paper version of rocket math and it would be great as an app but it has been difficult getting it onto 23 different iPads Thanks for listening     Kdoor569

My child has mastered his basic math concepts wit the help of this app There were a few bugs initially but app is getting better with every update                 My kid loves it

Worked fine for addition and subtraction Bought the subscription to unlock the upper levels in MultiplicationDivision and the app wouldnt recognize that I bought it Tried to restore purchases through the app but it would always crash when I tried to register my account Deleted and reloaded app two times Beyond frustrated Daughter was doing well until this issue When it works correctly this is a 5 star app Not now though Please fix this problem     Was great

I was so excited to see that there is a rocket math app My child is forced to do this program in school Im not a fanreally it seems to stress the 1st graders out and Im not sure its worth the payout But I thought the app might be fun and helpful Too bad it seems I can not skip to the end of addition as he is on W in school In order to get there apparently wed have to do every level 3 times Why not unlock the letters The app claims that if you upgrade you can unlock the levels but so far I have been unable to do so     Unable to get to appropriate letter
