It is both simple and satisfying to use this app with Wahoos RFLKT It took me surprisingly little time to design a route and ride it The turn by turn navigation was flawless I used to use Cyclemeter but changed to this because of its wonderful integration with the website                 Great with RFLKT love turn by turn nav
Ive used the website for years to scope out routes This app is the perfect complement to the website Ive had problems with different GPS tracking apps crapping out on me and this one is the most stable for tracking my rides walks and hikes The voice guided turn by turn directions are really good if you have your cue sheet set up properly and Ive used it to drive some very complicated routes for raptor surveys Offline maps and routes are a great addition The inapp purchase price isnt great but if you upgrade on the website its cheaper still more than I would like though                 Great for Recording or Following Routes
I have been using the website to plan rides for years so I was excited to try the app It works great and best of all is no a power hog I can ride for hours without having to worry about it zapping my battery                 Great App
Im really impressed with the features this app and companion website already have and Im looking forward to upcoming features              Impressed
I have this on an iPhone 4 and will be upgrading to an iPhone 5 but regardless this app had it all turn by turn voice directions customizable maps it just doesnt quit Ive been using it for a year now and it just keeps getting better with age I have tried quite a few others that dont come close It orientates maps in the direction you are traveling I can even put an earphone in drop it in my back pocket and listen to the voice direction                 Great app
Ive reported the problem numerous times and nothing has been done to fix it        Live Logging stops midride
Great App helpful use it for all my rides                 Helpful App
Wont load on my ipad2 gives me a message that it is not compatible with my device but the previous version worked fine It would be a good app if you could run it     Doesnt load or update
Very helpful                 Love it
Turnbyturn nav on the RFLKT works great                 Love the RFLKT navigation
This app crashes and the menu is not accessible for my iPhone 6 The developers for this app should have repaired this error by now as the betas were available since June     Does not function with iOS 8
I had high hopes for this program since it is a good one If you want to do heart rate forget it I can not change speed distance or anything on the screen to heart rate I use to be able to change some of the settings but not any more Unless they put to change any of them in the subscription and then to upgrade you have to pay 399 for just 7 days come on that is a joke If you use the free part then it is ok I wont pay 399 for seven days maybe 7 months if everything works I deleted it from my phone When it works as it should I might try it again           My Review
I recently purchased this to navigate a century ride and received flawless turn by turn directions Since it worked so well I bought a year membership on their website which is a much better value                 Good navigation great website
I am sure there is useful information however with all of the print in 3pt type who can read it Wish I could comment on content but it is illegible        Font setting option
Whos ridiculous idea was this You are not the only app in the pond Ill stick with Strava Very poor pricing model Only useful feature I find in the app is planning a route and even that could use a better way to undo an accidental click from a route     Pay to upgrade every 7 days
I like this app a lot please update it for the Apple Watch              I ride with this App Awesome
Well it looks like I found an app to replace S Ive tried a lot of tracking apps for mtb that was probably the best but it is lacking in many respects that Map My Ride is not including an array of maps that are much better for trail riding                 Excellent
For calorie tracking and long rides theres no other If you care about actual cycling more than KoMs this is for you                 Great
With the mostrecent update the app is easy to use and very stable                 Save your rides quickly
So the website is ok But the app has no ant support and if you want the turn by turn navigation you need to pay 4 bux for 7 days I was hoping to at least see the cue sheet but nope There are better apps out there     Not very useful unless you pay
Update the app regularly crashes Please fix ASAP Im a paying customer but I wont be for long if this isnt fixed I recently went on a 8day bike tour in a place where I needed route guidance This is an excellent app for that in terms of preplanning on the computer then downloading the route onto the iPhone My biggest complaint is the poor contrast between roads and background Roads are displayed as white with pale gray edges over a pale yellow background Text is very small In the best of conditions its hard to read In average to the worst of conditions bright sun sunglasses bumpy roads etc it is just about impossible to tell what road youre on or what roads are coming up This will need to be addressed before the app gets 5 stars from me Also annoying twice in about 20 rides I have somehow inadvertently paused the app while still riding The app missed collecting data until I noticed it and restarted it It shouldnt be so easy to inadvertently do that There should be a confirming Do you really want to pause data collection tap required Otherwise RideWithGPS is a very good app overall and the beat I have found for planning out a ride then following it I have abandoned my Garmin device        Poor Contrast
Working great on my iPhone 5s Lots of great improvements in the latest release especially for my Wahoo RFLKT                 Awesome App
Best ride planning app Ive been using since 2010 to plan cross country and major rides Plus it is my daily ride log                 My Fav
Whats up with only a 7 day purchase I liked the way it worked when I downloaded a ride already planned but to improve I would love to have the option to reverse route half way through ride And of course option to buy outright or at least for 1 year not just 7 days           Need it more than 7 days
Requires Facebook Login or Account Login It will not let you use the app otherwise I will change my rating if this changes     Requires Facebook Login or Account Login
I will ride 4000 miles this year using a combination of Map My Ride and the Google Maps App with the Cycling layer I keep coming back for one more test of Ride With GPS primarily because I have cycling buddies who have carefully groomed Ride with GPS routes that I would like to use However Four bucks a week is insane A forty week cycling season means that this single app would cost me as much per year as two months of my entire cellular service Save your money Use Google Maps with the cycling layer and log your trips with Strava or MapMyRide        the price is wrong
The only reason I bought this was for the Twin Lights Ride This program was associated with the Rides website I bought the upgrade so I could track and record my progress during the 100mile ride and the program did not work My riding teammate did the same thing and got the same results The program did not do anything We are running iOS8 on iPhone5 and 5S We wound up using Strava and Endomondo The FREE VERSIONS of those programs did more than this I would actually like a refund of my money since I didnt get what I paid for According to you ad we shouldve been able to see where we were on the course Did NOT work Too bad I wouldve considered replAcing the others     Bought it for the Twin Lights Ride DIDNT WORK
GPS is off App stops working during the ride All this app is good for is to look up possible routes To actually use it is a joke Apple should pull this Taking peoples money is criminal DO NOT BUY a week Worthless     Can I have my 399 back
I see no value in this app Strava has all the same features for free plus gives you a whole lot more feedback on how you were doing Fail     Not enough features
Pros 1 Routes can be planned for riding later or routes can be saved as trips that have already taken place Great if one does not have his device with him on a particular ride but still wants some data entered 2 Downloads the map of local area and the user can view it including his own position on it even without an internet connection 3 Does a decent job of recording routes on the map although it does tend to draw straight lines arcoss curved roads several times within a single ride Cons 1 Constantly shows that I am riding at various speeds ranging from 02kmph to 18kmph when I was standing still and taking a break 2 Records imaginary miles or kilometers whist I take my breaks even with the ride paused 3 The iOS app took a whole day to fully sync and display the correct number of rides I added thorugh the wensite 4 Premium is too expensive           Keeps logging imaginary miles and shows speeds up to 18kmph whilst actually standing still
Not clear at all on how to create a route easily enough My solution is just ride and dont worry about the darn map     Not user friendly
Great app I was hope the cadence and heart rate monitor add to this app soon                 NICE
It would be very useful to be able to view routes and rides on my iPad but the app wont load on my iPad at all because my iPad is wifi only Huh I can view that info on my phone but Go Ride doesnt work so Ive never been able to use the app to record or navigate during a ride Ive been a paid user of RWGPS for many years and think its the best for route creation I always look forward to the contests which are motivating Though those dont seem important to the devs as there are perpetually errors in the info and results The recent emphasis away from navigation to photo sharing is a little worrisome You have heard of Facebook for that right        A start
Need end of the ride save delete larger font              Font size
Right off the bat the app voice response was telling me to turn right when the route was going left The app didnt work initially on my iPhone 6 so I used an older phone Thats not a big deal but the app had a hard time directing me visually or vocally when the outbound route overlapped the return path and almost sent me in an infinite loop Then the app crashed while I was riding and when it came back it forgot my settings This wouldnt be too bad but the default settings dont seem to follow the rider display the turn by turn directions or keep the screen from shutting down while riding        Lots to improve on not worth it at this point
Strava doesnt even have an iPad app Keep up the great work                 Thank your making an iPad app
I was using paper cue sheets until this year I did not want to purchase a separate device for ride directions since I always have my iPhone with me I wanted an app instead so I had one less thing to carry charge and upgrade But I found all the other gps apps inadequate including map my ride I like to create routes online and download them and map my ride never seemed to do what I wanted it to Ride with gps is almost perfect the almost part is an iPhone peculiarity I will explain The online route planner is accurate intuitive and reasonably easy to edit existing routes Its a popular enough app that there are lots of local routes by other people to explore and Ive had lots of fun trying out some new routes Ive found A huge bonus is that my local cycling club posts links to ridewithgps files of the club rides so I can download them before the ride Let me say that compared to using a cue sheet the ridewithgps screen is faster more accurate and most important lets me keep my eyes on the road more I was concerned about putting a screen on my handlebars but trying to read a cue sheet takes much more effort than glancing at a screen for a fraction of a second to see the little blue dot on the map me approaching the clearly marked turn If you upgrade to paid membership you get turn by turn spoken directions that you can hear unless you are screaming down a hill with the wind in your ears This app has definitely made my riding safer I can concentrate more on whats around me and worry less about finding the next turn You have your choice of a few info bars under the map including upcoming directions or a speedometerodometer display or my favorite the ride profile This is the elevation profile of your entire ride with a blue dot showing where you are In unfamiliar territory you can see which are going to be the big climbs and which are the molehills so you can have your strategy for the next hill even if its your first time down that road I find it really helpful to know whats coming and when Ive conquered the worst climb on the route There is a feature to take photos and attach them to your ride uploads which I havent used yet A word about battery life a gps app will drain your phones battery Ridewithgps has an option to download the maps in advance which lets you turn off cell data and navigate using cell tower gps alone This helps but you still have the screen on the whole time I find depending on cell signal strength you can use up to 2 of the iPhone 5 battery per mile I found a battery case and a handlebar phone holder that the phone with battery case fits in and I completed a century with 8 of my battery left so Im all set The iPhone glitch is for some reason turn by turn directions will occasionally stop working Support told me I have to be sure that the ride is being recorded to keep it working Some days there isnt an issue some days I have to stop and play around with the app to get it working again I hope to see an update that removes this occasional annoyance Nevertheless Im giving it five stars for the added enjoyment it has brought to my riding this year I can load up a route and just ride enjoy the scenery and not really care where I am And its a safer way to ride Awesome                 Finally a GPS app that I like
Nice features but you can upgrade for 7 days Then what Every time you need to download a route you have to upgrade again Poor model for users Just provide a way to pay and unlock all features without expiration and you may get more people to buy        7 day upgrade
This is a fantastic app However I only received one voice announcement of an up coming turn All other were just the audio but no voice Not too happy           TBT voice audio doesnt work
The current version is telling me it is incompatible with my iPad mini That is not acceptable        IPad mini wont update
Great app but why isnt there an option to buy a yearly subscription Only option is 400 every 7 days What kind of backward pricing strategy is that 4 weeks 52 208 Im going to find another app or real GPS for that price        Only option to buy 7 days 400 Weak
I use a well known gps app but when I found this app that I can link my garmin Im in 100 Great app for cyclists                 Super accuracy
Longtime user of the website and have been looking forward to this release did not disappoint Navigation worked flawlessly Looks like my Garmin 800 is going to start collecting dust                 Great app
Love the Offline maps feature for those areas without cell signal Love running it with a TickrX RFLKT and BlueSC sensor ROCKSOLID                 Great Navigation
Great web app Laughable j app purchase system 399 for only week of access Talk about price gouging developer     399 for 7days Laughable
First time using works great so far                 Great app
My main concern going in was whether or not the app would torch my battery Im looking at you strava and map my ride as I frequently ride over 56hrs at a time Im not sure what the developers are doing behind the scenes with this app but it is by far the most power efficient GPS app i have tried It works so well I started using it for running hiking in addition to cycling The turn by turn nav is done very well esp coming from meh garmin devices and the application is intuitive and easy to use Love the service and the app really adds a whole new dimension to it                 Fantastic power efficient app
This is getting better I really like the improvements in navigation it is really getting useful with more warnings etc Now if you could just turn their chime off that it sounds before it gives directions The next thing is Apple Watch support Cue sheet directions on the watch map update with turns cues start stop recording all would be nice Lastly please add full BLE support for Viiiiva HRM ANT to BLE bridge so the Viiiiva can multiplex ANT signals over BLE Lastly make it easier to search for a route within my routes I have set the routes up for a local ride so I have quite a few I ought to be able to quickly search within the routes view              Getting better
As a new rider all I want is an app that gives me directions and records my progress To create a route or follow someone elses is a mess I cant wait until I can use google maps for more of this stuff and Im sure it wont cost me 50        Record a ride or navigate a ride
Gave the update a try on 525 Rode 52 miles this weekend on a totally new ride Turn by turn worked great and all data recorded properly including heart rate cadence speed power GPS etc They finally did it Genuinely stoked This is the holy grail They got a new subscriber My equipment is described below Ill give them five stars because I gave them one before but there are a few improvements they should still make First as I completed my ride I realized that I knew a better way home than the designated route There should be a way to dismiss the off course warning lost all onscreen data for last couple miles If theres a way to do it and continue recording I couldnt find it Second they should incorporate into the app a convenient way to upload to Strava and Training Peaks like the Wahoo Fitness app I realize they may consider these competitors but lots of us have been using TP for many years and Strava is definitely where its at today Fortunately I could just download the tcx from the site and upload to whatever platform I prefer Finally they should build in turn by turn to a route with recording running As it stands I had to edit the route to start at my house Ive used Wahoos app for years and for the last year Ive been riding with a RFLKT a TCKR and a Powertap wheel All work AWESOME Recently traded out the ant cap on the Powertap for for Bluetooth Smart Works even better All running latest firmware super stable and vastly superior to my Garmin FWIW I also use the Echo watch for running and love it paired with TICKR and Wahoo app The only missing component is turn by turn for new rides RidewithGPS promises exactly that Yesterday I loaded it up paid the 4 for the 7 day basic subscription and headed out for a new ride Drove about 45 minutes from my house Then proceeded to fk around with the app for another 45 minutes It absolutely refused to pair with my HRM and Powertap at the same time as the RFLKT Restart repair turn BT off and on Spectacularly frustrating In the end I gave up and drove to a different location for a ride I already knew Bummer This app claims that it will pair with all the Bluetooth accessories automatically once paired and you begin recording It just doesnt Id suggest they add something like Wahoos app so that you can see the devices paired and connected prior to starting Turn by turn on the RFLKT is a GREAT IDEA and something Ive wanted forever Unfortunately the app cant yet pull it off with HR and Power at the same time                 Man I wanted this to work Update it works
