Remote for Roku

Every now and then you pick up an app that works even better than you hoped This is it I installed it on my iTouch and iPad and now have two remotes that far surpass the remotes that came with the Roku                 Great

I always lose my remote in my messy room and this app gets the job done whenever I dont feel like looking for it I highly recommend The set up process takes only seconds                 Awesome

This hasnt been updated in 4 years It is working so well on my 6 Keyboard wont come up or when it does the right side is missing Its needed for search or entering your rokus ip into it I used to refer this over rokus own app but its no longer usable without an update Which I doubt since it looks like this was abandoned from development     Not working so well on ios8

I lost my remote for my roku a couple of weeks ago and I was looking online if I could buy a remote but I saw an article about this app As soon as I downloaded this app it worked I didnt have to set up anything its amazing Im so happy I didnt have to purchase a remote                 woah

Worked PERFECTLY for months now it doesnt seem to work as well Somedays it doesnt seem to function at all on others its the best Ive tried multiple different things like moving it away from my AppleTV or moving the Roku closer or farther from my iPhone but its all still a crapshoot as far as when it works           5050 chance of working

The app its self is wonderful works wonderfully However it did freeze once and I had to delete it and download it again              Had to download twice

Now I have this It worksBUT I have only used it for two days Like others have said it picked up my roku immediately So 5 stars                 I lose my remote allll the time

This is a well designed app It functions well has no advertising and is a pleasure to use Just one problem an irritation really I nicely shows you a god of your channels this permitting on tap jumping to where you want to do However the upper left slot is occupied by AOL News even if its not one of your channels That throws off the arrangement and means channels are in different rows column positions etc Not good at all Hint There is a little known setting on the Roku device you can go into settings and go to Home screen options and hide the News Then it wont appear on your channel grid The developers really need to fix this By the way these Roku apps are great if youre going to be doing a lot of searching1on screen keyboard is much easier and more comfortable to use than the arrow keys to select individual letters              Nicely done Shows image of remote on screen Only one issue

I can count on one hand the number of apps Ive paid for in the last 3 years Generally if it isnt free I dont download it But my dog ate the remote and theyre expensive to replace So I bit the bullet and bought this one Its perfect Love it                 BEST APP EVER

Ok these other reviews must be from people who tried the app for only a few seconds Crazy how bad this app is as a remote The buttons on the remote dont wort 90 of the time and when the do work it acts like you pressed the same button a hundred times and keeps clicking like your still pressing the button What the heck     Lame App doesnt work

I am giving this five stars because the minute I downloaded it and used it it worked without any setup The remote that came with my Roku box freaks out all the time and just quits working I have no idea why This just works plain and simple Im happy Best 99 Ive spent in a while                 Solved my problem

This worked immediately for me and is very responsive Overall it works better than the physical remote The two things I like better on this app than on Rokus app is that the channel icons are better laid out here and the IP entry But the main screen where most of the action takes place is not very attractive due to the ugly menu bar at the top Theres a large keyboard icon that could be a small icon of a single key Roku uses a noticeably smaller keyboard And there it is Remote right at the top where you cant miss it But you dont need it Its completely obvious that you are looking a remote I guess the purple menu bar is there because its Rokus color brand but even Roku uses an understated gray bar not purple The less attractive interface is why I dinged it one star Less is more              Works fine but one thing I don

If you are using this to replace a non functioning remote you might have reset your Roku trying to get it to workdoing this takes all your network info out of your Roku Once that happens this app wont be able to find your Roku Luckly we have a 2nd Roku whose remote I was able to pair with this Roku so I could reenter my network infothen it worked like a charm That is one big downside of the Rokuit is WORThLESS without a working remote Great app once I figured this stuff out                 Helpful warning

I like it I have a new Roku XS with the bluetooth remote Ive had a problem where it will stop responding to the remote but have not been able to find a pattern But this finds the Roku and the Roku responds then the bluetooth remote starts responding I do think that it is the Roku bluetooth itself that is napping but this regains control                 works when the bluetooth remove does not
