Doesnt even let me log in Just spend 20 bucks for nothing     Dont waste your money

Hey guys Rehearsal needs an update now Since adapting iOS 8 the app will not open a script without automatically recording a scene Not at all good on a quiet film set Upgrade please        Wonky on iOS 8

Ok its not the worst app but its not great either Its one of the most expensive apps I have ever bought since Ive owned an iPhone To be honest the free alternatives are better This is also an old app and hasnt been updated at all A huge disappointment considering other apps in this category are out there for free Im sticking with off book for now Its easier and free        Way to expensive for what else is out there

I have been completely off book for every audition since getting this app Its a game changer I have had no problems using it I recommend it to all my actor friends You record the other persons lines leaving space for your own and that helps you to memorize But unlike just using your regular iPhone recorder rehearsal two plays the scene on a continual loop Its like having a personal trainer say again Again You just keep going over and over and you can work on your scenes while you do other things and I think thats a really good way to memorizeESP tv scripts Really great app                 Awesome app

Ive used this app for a few years but am really struggling to understand how there are still so many glitches with the program Audio open starts recording without pressing record the program resets anytime you leave it and crashes repeatedly Lazy developers     Several Bugs for 20 app

UPDATED REVIEW Still not a good app after a year of using it Doesnt sync between iPad and iPhone Highlights are not really responsive to touch Still have to email confidential information And its outrageously expensive for an app previous review I enjoy the app even though I havent really even used it yet But already I dont like emailing confidential material you need to be able to bookmark the pages so the app reopened to the last page as well it should scroll through faster add new pages as they come in AS WELL the iPhone and iPad apps dont sync so they function as two different apps if I do all this work on one it isnt reflected when I open the app on the other If Im stuck emailing scripts then your server should sync the apps Thats REALLY annoying     Agreed needs an update

I really like this app but my main complaint is that it doesnt remember what page you were last on akin to a Kindle For a 100 page script having to scroll to the page you were last on every time you open it is a bit of a pain I suppose youd have to save each of your scenes separately but when you have lines throughout and you want use rehearsal to aid in memorization for a full play and not just an audition its not the greatest That said it is very useful for sides           Could be better

After one successful use I tried uploading a script I need to memorize for an industrial to no avail I forwarded it to the correct address in DocX format and it was never added to my scripts I then attempted to open the rehearsal option within the email but it wasnt given to me So instead of using the 20 app I just purchased Im using Notepad What a waste A copy paste script function would be extremely helpful        Needs more options to add scripts

David came through after months of perseverance for you voice over artists out there one can actually email mp3s directly to the casting entity from rehearsal 2 and that is not allit is an awesome tool for on camera audition preparation as well beautifully facilitating the opportunity to hone ones listening skills while getting off book I always get a kick out of walking across a studio lot to an audition with my iPhone held up to my ear seemingly I am chatting away when in fact I am listening to the other characters lines and speaking my own in turn relaxed focused and confident striding in to the audition Nice going David H Lawrence Creative Courage                 David Definitely Did it

Its ironic that an app for actors is the most expensive app Ive ever bought but I was happy to shell out the dough after a friend raved about it Only after installing the app on iOS 8 and encountering numerous glitches did I see it hasnt been updated in nearly two years Basic features we now take for granted are missing I was very disappointed to find that scripts dont sync between devices If I close the app and reopen it the script goes back to page one The same is true if I dont close the app If I respond to an incoming email or text and then switch back to Rehearsal it goes back to page one Every time I return to the app and tap the script I was working on it starts beeping and goes into record mode and I have to click back several times then tap the script again only for it to take me to page one I was really looking forward to using this app and I think an update will renew my excitement but I cant recommend it until then     Needs an update

A pause button would be great and the ability to turn off the beeps during playback gets old fast when running a scene over and over              Well done

I first balked at paying that much for an all but as a working actor this app has proven its worth and more Packed full of awesome features I love recording audio and practicing my lines in the car the blackout feature the highlighting notes beat markers The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the inability to sync highlighting and such between devices I hate having to highlight on both my phone and iPad Still worth it and very helpful Love it              Worth every penny

Another app that makes a grueling monotonous task a little easier Worth the money if your an actor                 Great idea

I love this app The black out option is very useful It would be cool if there was a way for you to write a script in this app and be apple to use these useful options And the video scene recording could be a little better by being able to scroll without the video screen go away Otherwise I love everything else about this app Def worth the monies                 Amazing APP

I use this app every day Orlando Florida is a commercial market and most auditions are last minute I can prep my sides easily and go as long as I want with out needing someone to read with me I dont remember how I rehearsed with out it I heard about it on INSIDE ACTING PODCAST Thank you David                 The perfect tool

This app crashes every time I try to open a new script The most expensive app Ive ever bought and the most worthless     Crashes every time

PDFs have to be sent via email to the developer Highlighting and erasing is wacky Not even a pause button on audio playback Some kind of sham 20 down the drain     Bad App

Over the last two years I had the absolute luxury problem of having a number of jobs that overlapped each other The work was very challenging and I was inundated with dialects to attempt to master and dialogue to memorize I was doing a show called Copper at the same time as Sons of Anarchy and about to start Vikings In fact there was a five week period in 2013 where I had nine episodes of those three series to film in less than five weeks A friend told me about Rehearsal and it was like an answer to my prayers I would highlight the script record the dialogue everyones lines and listen to the scenes over and over In my car on set wherever Rehearsal was my constant companion I always feel that as an actor my only defense against any scenario is preparation Especially when I am showing up in high pressure situations on high profile projects I dont care how experienced you may be there is always a feeling of being the new kid on campus There is no better way to assure your new cast mates you can handle the situation than being off book and ready to throw down This app is an incredible tool for us actors Before I would record voice memos but Rehearsal loops the scenes and allows me to add notes to the script Thanks David for such a useful tool Sincerely Donal Logue                 new best friend

Rehearsal 2 has been a compete game changer for me I live in LA and spend WAY too much time in my car so the fact that I can run my lines on a loop while driving is amazing I love the fact that I can make notes add audio files photos video to my scripts I can saturate each script with so much information Genius                 Cant live without this app

This app has made my life so much easier and has enhanced my bookings amazingly Its wonderful for self taping I use it as a teleprompter For drilling lines there is nothing better I cant recommend this app more highly Its a necessity for any actor Wayne Duvall Lincoln OBrotherWhere Art Thou The District                 This App is a MUST for actors

I read a few reviews about the app not being easy to use I dont know how you can make it much easier without adding a robot voice to read the other characters for you My wife reads the second character parts so it doesnt feel like I am talking to myself For me it is hard to practice when the other person is my voice The other interesting side effect of knowing the lines cold is when the reader skipped ahead a full page I didnt miss a beat I knew it was wrong but after working with rehearsal 2 the day before it flowed perfectly The CD didnt even catch it During class my instructor thanked me for being so much better prepared I spent about half the time and felt like I had spent all week rehearsing a luxury we dont get often if ever If you dont have a read partner for rehearsal this is about as good as it gets                 Best 20 Ive spent for acting life period

It seemed like a great idea at first and most of the reviews looked great but when I got it I have the new upgrade it wouldnt let me send any of my scripts in PDF form I have been fooling around with it for almost 2 hours now and it will not budge The app itself is great quality but I cant send the email Can I have my 20 back David if youre reading this please tell me how to fix it I wouldnt be upset if it was a 5 dollar app but I just wasted my money       

What happened to the pause feature on audio playback That is crucial and it just disappeared which is weird bc there hasnt been an update in FOREVER please fix Thanks           Please Help

Umm its just a PDF reader with a highlighter Way over priced     No point

Vastly overpriced for something I can accomplish with my iPhones voice memos and my paper sides and a highlighter Very disappointed attempting to get a refund And as an FYI Im a professional actor in LA and Ive done over forty episodes of tv as a guest star recurring guest and series regular Please refund my hard earned money I have no use for this app H     Unnecessary purchase over priced

As a working actor I love love love this app iCloud compatibility and a pause button for audio would make this a 5star app for sure Keep up the great work              Indispensable

I loved this app but it doesnt seem to work with iOS 8 At least the voice recording feature seems broken Its overall a good idea app works great when it works but there has to be something else on the market        Needs updating

Even with a few glitches this app has become a vital and effective tool in my arsenal                 Just what I needed

I purchased this for use thinking that it would help me to learn lines for a small scene that I am working on for a community theater group When it opened the tutorials were confusing and I found it extremely difficult to understand how to load on a pdf file before it could be used The script we are using is not in public domain and has been paid foryet how to quickly down load this without the proper scanner and equipt was impossible Furthermore when I checked the links to their store thinking that I probably had to buy some other program in order to make this work more easily the Store did not exist I was sent instead to a marketing analytics site I am not impressed I deleted this immediately and have requested a refund Theres got to be a better way to mark a script and learn linestrue this is a great idea that should be completely updated with intuitive graphics and explanations Extremely expensive for what I received     Very outdated in appearance and not easy to use Absolutely frustrating Not intuitive

This is a fantastic idea for an app but switching between blackout mode and the highlight view is abysmally slow Unusable honestly But even if it worked quickly you should be able to peek at individual blacked out lines As it is now all you can do is toggle it on or off for the whole script at one           Great idea poor performance

I dont buy apps much at all but working as a voice over talent and having heard of this app at VOICE 2012 I knew it was something I could use and use it I do I love how you can easily mark up scripts I find myself using it all the time for recording sessions and auditions I find the App very helpful It is also helping to make my studio greener                 Love this App

Basic things Most of these have been covered in previous reviews A pause button in the recording portion would go a long way I have page one and two totally memorized Page six though Well if I could pause and get to the end of the scene it would super duper help Buy If youre desperate If your scripts are generally in pdf form If you dont have any other options           Needs update overhaul

This is hands down the best app Ive encountered for learning lines Figuring out how to upload scripts record etc took only a few min w the simple interface The loop feature is a blessing esp as someone who was using iPhone voice memos to rehearse The scrolling feature is great too I feel like this has cut my memorization time in half Dont be discouraged but the price its worth it                 SO helpful easy to use

I love this app so much but lately its been doing to me what others are complaining about My highlights disappear and I have to exit the script and then come back to get them to show Then I lose my place Please fix this bug Thanks           Seriously needs an update

This Rehearsal app is amazing Kept hearing about it finally bought it Its enormously helpful Solves so many acting challenges in a simple waywith all the bells whistles highlighter beat marks recording and playback of lines blackout margin notes an actor needs Whoever designed this is a genius PS I saw some reviews complaining about the highlighting function They must have fixed it because mine works just fine on my Iphone5 under i0S6 My clients are raving about it and no one has mentioned a problem                 ACTING COACH SAYS ITS FANTASTIC

This app allows you to do two things well highlight and notate your script and recordplayback audio while looking at the script to practice lines Its quite good at this However As loathe as I am to criticize an app in such a niche market where any nod from the tech world is welcome there is a series of seemingly basic features missing in an app that carries such a high price tag such as remembering where you were in the script when you close the app Dont use this to read long scripts because theres no way to save your place Reopening the app takes you back to page 1 no pause feature on audio playback Dont use the app to memorize anything long unless you can get through it without stopping which means its already basically memorized right Theres no way to pause the audio and resume where you left off Pressing stop takes you back to the beginning The interface for people who care about this sort of thing felt dated even before the ios7 update Now it looks like it was pulled straight from Windows ME by comparison I want to like this app I want to cheer what seems like a small development outfit for throwing the acting world a bone and producing an app that meets our unique needs But I cant get over the feeling that this same small development outfit is taking advantage of the acting world by releasing an app with few features and glaring deficiencies then charging us 10x the price of slicker more fully featured generaluse apps Notability et al that can do almost the same thing At best the app is useful yet clunky and unnecessarily halfbaked At worst its exploitive And yet Im going to go use it right now Go figure        Works as advertised but

Horrible app It took me long to figure out it only reads PDF and doc files which you have to send in an email with your scene attached in order for them to upload it it took them forever to upload it kept send me back emails that it couldnt load error I had a last minute audition and thought this would have helped the time i spent figuring out this app I could have utilize it to actually studied my scene with my own technique It was a waste of precious time to prepare I would like my 20 dollars back dont waste your time or money     Dont waste your time or money

Hey Sooooooa lot of actors at Juilliard LOVES this app However in lieu of auditions and plays to prepare for we love to run lines over and over Therefore we love the voice recording app except it NEVER saves our recording PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE THIS As soon as you can              WE NEED UPDATE

This app has a few good points but the bugs headaches outweigh them First it only works with PDF files as though all scripts come to you as a PDF attachment to an email How about if youre given a hard copy script or a doc file So thats excess work to get it in the format Rehearsal likes Then to actually have the app accept the script is another chore involving emailing it to Rehearsal or yourself to open the attachment via the app But the second way still leaves it out of your Rehearsal library so more headaches going from phone to tablet Once the script is in the app the app does really helpful things like sporadically jump to page 1 from your present position constantly pop into record mode or pop up the menu to add photos videos etc Why How often does one add photos in the middle of a script And perhaps my biggest complaint is that any time the app loses focus it exits the script Maybe that wouldnt be so annoying if the app had bookmarks but it doesnt Add to that the poor help feature and this app is barely useful Definitely NOT worth the price     Needs work and NOT worth the price

I read good things about this app and decided to purchase it I have made several attempts to activate my account but nothing has worked There is nothing in my inbox or my spam folder I should be able to signin receive my activation code and be on my way However Im here writing a review for product that has NOT impressed me because I cant use it In the meantime Ill continue to use conventional methods for rehearsing dialogue     Cant activate my account

I run an acting studio in New York City and I tell all of my students to use this app Not to mention Ive been using it myself for years It is a total gamechanger and has raised the bar for memorization Love it cant recommend it enough                 love this app

Just activated my account and went to login and cant Says all are invalid Resent activation says active Tried forgot password App email says they are concerned about security This app has a lot of issues Its a joke how bad and frustrating just logging in is Hello voice recorder     Username and password failure after activation

Importing my script was more trouble than it was worth since the only pdf I had was scanned in landscape and I wasnt able to rotate it I ended up just using the voice memo on my phone and my hard copy script covered with a piece of paper           Need to import script via camera

There are issues w this app that make it annoying to use It needs some easy improvement Adding my scripts straight from your phone has a bug You should be able to pause and forward and reverse the script as its playing back w voice over     NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
