Never change anything about this app Please
I give it 3 stars for effort and a very attractive UI but it falls short with lack of features and inability for deep customization and still really isnt any better or different than the first iteration I believe its not worth the price for existing owners of version one anyways ive moved on to a more capable newsrss aggregator since about the release of the iPhone 6 and havent looked back I think reeder 2 is trying to ride on the success of the original doesnt work for me Reeder
See title The Best App On The App Store
Too hard to distinguish between readunread in listthe thin lines between articles were really helpful Gray article text hurts my eyes titles should be black for better readability Im going back to v1 again It just works better and is more readable Exceptit doesnt work well on iPhone 6 Visuals lacking compared to Reeder 1
Repeatedly crashes version after version for no good reason Slow halting when scrolling stories Next to Tumblr this is the crashiest app on my phone Crashy
This should be the model for writing iOS apps Great job Amazing Essential
this is of great quality thanks would it be possible to remove unread after certain duration of time automatically other wise perfect no crashes iPhone 5S iOS 711 Fantastic RSS Client
Im a heavy RSS user I check my feeds everyday This app crashes multiple times a day Im not exaggerating Its really bad Reeder 1 was great Reeder 2 looks mostly the same except its buggy and has uglier colors And the developer is TERRIBLE with updates Just absolutely horrendous If youre a paying customer the least the developer can do is address common issues and ensure the stability of the product Cant say the same for this guy Im sorry to say this but Im unlikely to invest any more money in the Reeder franchise Crashes all the time
Perfect in every way It does not have a lot of visual clutter from images or videos and lets you quickly absorb news via text The best news feed app
Excellent app use it every day to catch up on my news Ive tried several different apps out there and none come close to the thought layout design and polish of Reeder One annoyance accidentally tapping the status bar takes you to the top of the article Need something like Instapaper where you can undo that and go back to where you were Great needs scroll to top undo
Look its good for what it does What would make me love it is export and iCloud sync Good But could be better
Its my iPhone reader of choice Wish I could send articles to Diigo however like I can with Mr Reader on the iPad Great app use it daily
Unusable on iPhone 6 Good app but crashes ALL the time
Thanks for the great app Works well with Feedly Awesome
Rarely updated laggy UI You are better off going with a free version of feedly Dont believe the hype Do not buy
where as my other rss readers can Very annoying Reeder could not find feed
I love this app I finally updated to the new version What makes it awesome is it caches everything to the app for viewing later so that means if it syncs at home Ive got everything downloaded and I dont have to use my data while on the go When youve got a folder of feeds you can slide one way to see all the feeds or you can slide one wait to see all of the articles Or you can going to settings and can figure out which way you wanted to work by tapping on it Users who complain about too many taps too many screens or too many levels deep need to check out the settings AND the sliding options The initial help screen than came up when I launched it doesnt seem to be accessible again maybe the tips was in there Settings or configurable in all sorts of ways the settings are little confusing several layers but its worth learning how to configure I finally plunked down my 499 and its pretty much the same program from a user standpoint I was bitter for a while that they abandoned the old iPad version after telling we were getting an updated version for free but didnt and the desktop version was abandoned too I give this app 45 stars I upped my rating a few times its either added features or I discovered them buried in the settings menu right now does pretty much everything I want Its excellent and does everything I need it to do to keep up with my feeds
Theres not much I can say that hasnt been said about Reeder 2 It is elegant simple and does its job flawlessly Ive tried over 8 other RSS apps and it doesnt measure to Reeder This app quickly supported feedbin when google reader faded into oblivion so I never missed a beat with my feeds By far the most used app on my phone Best RSS Reader Period
This app is in desperate need of a tutorial It took half an hour to figure out that everytime I changed something on a screen I had to hit the upper right check mark to save then exit the screen A check mark as opposed to the actual word save or a dialogue box on exit that asks Save Settings or half a dozen other understandable ways This on top of a dozen other issues turned a five minute setup into an hour long chore Nice but cumbersome
Love the app since v1 But this 12gb cache is a huge bummer Deleting image cache doesnt really seem to help 5 stars once that gets under control Holy moly local storage
Crashes All The Time Unreliable
So many bugs appeared when trying to share feeds with other people that seems irritating knowing the price of Reeder Angry user
Otherwise good Time to use wxwebview guys Crashes every 10 minutes
Constantly loses connection to FeedHQ in both the iOS and OS X version Developer has not responded to request to fix this Having to constantly login to a feed reader defeats the purpose of speedy news retrieval Unresponsive developer
Please add support share to wechat its much meaning to Chinese users Thanks Great app but
Best reading experience Ive had on iPad Very elegant and simple Made me learn to love RSS Beautiful powerful app
Please tell me I am wrong I have been using Byline but it hasnt get any update since 2 years ago and I would like to see more gesture for RSS app so I bought this Reeder 2 a famous RSS reader but I found that it doesnt load the full article for offline reading not even the article that I starred I have also tried Unread so glad that it has a trial mode so I know it also doesnt support full article for offline reading even starred article I am going back to Byline an app that let me buffer the full article under wifi or cellular most importantly it buffers the full article with pictures for starred items Why do people buy an RSS app that doesnt buffer the full article offline
Love the app But on my iPhone 6 the second page the full article will not scroll smoothly It is a nightmare It is like it ignores the first few centimeters of the scroll and lags Please fix Really great app otherwise Edit Now I cant listen to music while using this app It steal audio focus automatically after some unknown series of events Major Scroll Issues
Used to love this app but a bug on iPad seems to have rendered it unusable for me and there is no support from the developer at all So sad No support
And I always come back to Reeder Ive tried them all
Nicely designed but lacking features Meh
Compared to me reader on the iPad this is lacking Probably the biggest miss is mark as read on scroll as an option Mobilizer options are also difficult to change Mediocre
Update Dont expect any response from the developer for support inquiries or feature requests There is zero response from him Purchase it if you can live with getting absolutely no support whatsoever It has gotten better but updates are still slow It takes a long time for it to sync with Feedbin and the interface is vey wonky Ever panel is scrollable so if you have a Magic Mouse and leave your finger on it its constantly attempting to scroll left and right and causing annoyance Eh
Why the lack of updates Users appreciate it if you Keep the updates coming Very slow opening URLs Good but this app needs a refresh
It just needs a search feature and auto readability If I need to reference something it takes FOREVER to scroll through and if its something starred from months ago Ill never find it Automatically using the readability feature may slightly slow down some pages but it would save time reading getting to the bottom of the page then having to go into readability mode if I forgot before I started reading but is an extra step in any case Needs
Cant believe I paid money for this app Am deleting it Terrible Worst ever
For the record I loved Reeder 1 I raved about it to friends and tried to convince them to buy it I didnt get why we needed a Reeder 2 and had to pay a second time for a very similar product and thats probably when I started falling out of love with Reeder Heres why Reeder 2 is overrated The bottom navigational bar is not centered so incredibly sloppy for a 499 product The developer is very slow with updates Its hard to scroll from article to article Reeder 2 crashes a lot In fact it crashed so many times thats what made me go looking for an alternative and found one in Feedly Its then I realized Reeder 2 is vastly overrated AND overpriced You can get the same and BETTER functionality for free in Feedly At this point I dont see why anyone would buy Reeder 2 Honestly its a ripoff Fan of Reeder 1 Reeder 2 overrated
Can you add back the left handed navigation arrows Really missing that feature Meh
Background refresh doesnt work and theres no way to get support Awful support
We dont have a lot of good options for RSS apps on iOS Reeder is good but far from the best I dont like the redundancy in viewing multiple screens I would rather just open the app and see my feeds I dont like that this app has its own builtin share menu while iOS has its own share menu Its just not necessary The feed list view is bland Id prefer almost a cardlike interface not square cards but something more readable or easier to visually separate each article in a cleaner way with thumbnail images on the left Lastly it would be nice if the articles would automatically open in Readability instead of having to tap the Readability icon every time Also maybe try offering a trial or lite version so people dont have to spend 5 and hope for the best Not the best Stop saying it is
The app is ok but needs a lot of improvements The developer is very slow iOS 6 support didnt come until November This is not acceptable Im back to using Feedly Its actually better than Reeder 2 now They update frequently Slow development
They updated their API so you now are required to authenticate when you want to use your account Please update InoReader needs authentication for new API
Good heavens this app is so nicely done RSS is a super lownoise way to browse the worlds headlines and zoom in on interesting stories without being bombarded by ads Reeder compliments that philosophy perfectly It is a subtlelownoise RSS client with a lot of excellent feature intuitively integrated right below the surface Thanks for your attention to detail I spend too much time with this app
1 Screen navigation is cumbersome There are too many views in the navigation stack Remove the account view from the main stack and display it via a button on the subscriptions view in place of the back button andor by tapping the account icon at the top 2 Desperately needs ability to customize fonts I cant believe this isnt supported in an app thats devoted to reading and the single font chosen for the app isnt that great 3 iPadFull screen article list view at least in portrait orientation In portrait you cant browse an article while the list is visible anyway so why not make the list fill the screen when it is active The current implementation feels small and awkward 4 Needs option to automatically enable Readability mode for all articles I shouldnt have to manually invoke it for every single article 5 Add option to disable confirmation dialogue after tapping mark all read icon or add long tap to icon to mark read without dialogue 6 When dark theme enabled also darken custom share menus action sheets and settings As it stands I would rate this the 3rd best RSS reader for iPad behind both Mr Reader and Newsify Decent but needs work
i used original reeder then bought reeder 2 it is great with iOS 8 and on Mac also still great
Wish I could see image previews on the feedlist Love this app but
The best app on my iphone I think 5 is nothing for such app 5stars
The app takes seconds to start on an iPhone 6 with iOS 901 Urgently needs an update Text looks super big on the iPhone 6 and 6 plus It would be great if there were a setting for text size or the Apple dynamic text size feature were used Not iOS 9 ready
Ive tried several wellreviewed newer RSS I used Unread for over a year based on glowing reviews by people who usually know what theyre talking about Unread has some nice features but I came back to Reeder because it still seems to be the all around best reader It works the way I want an RSS reader to work I like how it looks the gestures make sense Even on my iPad I sometimes choose Reeder over the fancier higher functioning Mr Reader Recently however Reeder started crashing on my iPhone 6 updated w latest software after I get maybe five or ten minutes into reading I can restart but I lose my place Frustrating Still my fave but keeps crashing
Ive been using Reeder daily since version 1 and like the app but the continual random crashes are very frustrating Crashes randomly
