Really good just wish there were more levels              Great

This is a polished space shooter It takes some getting used to and hence the easy setting is highly appreciated as average Joes like me need training wheels But because the game is challenging does not warrant 1 star reviews Some one said the controls are like Minigore on ice skates Well that may be true and if you dont know how to ice skate you are going to slip and fall But if you persevere and learn then you are going to love the feeling of speed and freedom once you start skating well So I implore you give this game a try Its challenging but worth it And the developer seems responsive and invested in continuing to improve it                 Thank you for easy setting

I found Red Nova to a fun game to play Now with Episode 2 Mercy the game has taken on a new life I just love the new ship The weapons fire and the look of the transport are perfect Game play remains top notch to go along with quality graphics Episode 2 Mercy and the chopter lift type game play with a clear objective and means to measure your success make a short or long play session challenging in a very fun way                 Mercy Mission

Love the controls But the field of view seems too far away Music is brilliant There is something if great quality here I cant wait to see how it develops              Enjoyed it

No I dont consider this the basis for a great game Not even a good time waster The gameplay itself is boring the field is too small and the feel of the ship pales even to Asteroids Make it free or keep working on it thanks        Far Too Bland

Very limited game with no depth 7 enemy ships 3 choices of fighters I picked this game because of a news review saying it was a hidden gem but I am far from impressed Maybe if it had some content        No depth

If you think this is just another dual stick shooter think again This game has a different control scheme You control your ship you get three to choose from with a left control pad like usual But when you shoot via tapping the right side of the screen you can only shoot in the direction you are facing So you have to do more manuevering strategies to hit your enemies For example fly around in circles or spin around while shooting d But not only that you also collect little charge particles when you defeat your enemies to charge up your ship which enables you to replenish your sheilds shoot missiles or use powerup items you pick up Not to mention the graphics are cool So are you ready to become the next Red Nova grandmaster If so come and join in on the fun and top the leaderboards d                 Are you Reddy to Roll

This game has potential but the controls are too fd up Its not like your typical dual stick and I have no idea why the devs DIDNT make it like a typical dual stick Instead they made it like an unbalanced dual stick making it impossible for your ship to follow your commands If the controls were like minigore itd be cool but the controls are instead like minigore on iceskates which makes you lose control and again I have no idea why the devs did this Itd be a straight up 45 star game if the controls werent so goofy Dont believe me Waste a dollar and find out DOIK     Why Five stars

Simple addictive Reminds me of Wing Commander for some reason similar atmosphere that white high tech fighter is awesome reminds me of robotechmacross                 Love it

Boy is this disappointing I can see the threads of potential here but the beyond goofy controls rob this game of what it might have been Im pretty sorry I wasted a buck on it Live and learn     Decided to take a chance

The screen shots and description are arguably misleading The impression is theres some sort of story based game with massive ship battles HA This is a rather by the book dual stick shooter in a space setting with only two missions One is a simple endless survival the other a mission to survive and rescue as many passengers as possible from a fleet of disabled capital ships while surviving a series of timed waves Thats it the whole game The game gets some props for a novel control scheme that works well on the touch screen but otherwise isnt anything special I bought it as part of the 2011 Holiday Indie charity promotion so no regrets for the 1 but objectively there are better and more fun games in this same vein out there eg Space Miner Blash Alien Space Alien Space Retro and Super Cyclone off the top of my head           Better dual stick space shooters out there

I think this is a great game to just pick up and play whenever The controls arent the typically irritating dualstick ones at all and the game certainly benefits Its a pretty easy game to grasp but the enemies are not trivial                 Simple but not easy

Thank you for the revised easy setting this game is much much much more playable and enjoyable now The new ship is cool too Anyone looking for an endless dual stick space shooter like Asteroids but vs alien ships instead check this game out                 Excellent with new easier difficulty setting

Reminding me a lot of Asteroids Red Nova adds a lot to the concept to create depth and challenge I still consider myself a beginner at the game but Im already starting to really enjoy the unique yet completely logical control system Really loving sliding around and sideswiping my enemies Great stuff                 Unique shooter

Im updating my review and adding two stars The easy difficulty is easier but far from easy I like the effort and Im happy to see its now far more playable and I actually enjoy it The graphics could still use some flare Power collection is difficult at best its just tough to locate them often especially when foreign missiles to an off screen enemy Power ups vanish too fast These two issue are critical You cant survive without every single power node and special power ups being collected and or harvested for energy to repair shields Using those power ups like speed or bomb is hopeless They need to be harvested to repair shields and if youre really lucky use for missiles That said its getting better but it needs some drastic changes in order to compete in the genre Missiles should just be a separate and abundant pick up Each destroyed enemy should drop at least 2 nodes and they should just streak right to your ship without having to look for them ever Ships with high shield ratings should actually be able to really resist more damage The newest is cool but its still must a slightly thicker gauge of tin foil for a hull Not good enough Power ups should just fly right to your inventory the instant they appear on screen Easy is still pretty difficult by any standards Remaining difficulties should just be called hopeless123 settings Still I want to like it and I kinda do but its pretty bland and difficult              Easy is hard It just become hopeless any higher

Jonesing for an EV Novalike game on IOS I came across a review for Red Nova and gave it a try While it doesnt completely fill the void as theres no exploration trade economy or ship building it does excel at action The controls are tight and responsive in the pseudonewtonian space environment Defending the freighters and evacuating passengers is a lot of fun and challenging on harder settings and while I do miss the availability of an ingame map system once you get used to Red Novas radar navigating to rescue ships is quite managable Theres nothing that Red Nova does particularly wrong however in a space game such as this it would be great to have some new addons that encourage exploration and nonlethal missions Perhaps if there were to be a Red Nova 2 hint hint Overall a solid and enjoyable shooter              Solid space shooter

I own the Devs PC game Drifter amazing game btw and love it I then learned that he had a similar game on iOS and went and bought it It isnt like Drifter in the open world aspect but the control scheme and gameplay aspects are similar so it was very much a plugandplay game for me It is a very fun easy to get the hang of game that I play whenever Im on car rides waiting in offices etc I it was well worth my money and I probably would have paid more Hoping Drifter makes it to iOS soon                 Worth 99 cents and more

This game is incomplete After reading on touch arcade in the forums I was misled into thinking this game would develop into something great Clearly it hasnt The description still says early adopter price lol I dont get how developers can drop the ball like this If I could program as well as you Id be a millionaire already Half of the success is due to keeping your existing audience involved their positive reviews and word of mouth will do the rest Good luck        Wheres an update
