Record of Reading

The Record of Reading is now available as a free download on Apple Store for iPad owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 8.5 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0.2 has been released on 2014-11-18. I started using this app about a month ago I think all the functions are great calculating accuracy WPM recording the student etc I take pictures of the text beforehand so I can check off the text while listening to them read Also they love listening to themselves reading This could help with their fluency as well Right now I am having trouble emailing the PDF so that I can print it out The app freezes and then shuts down on me I really need this resolved because I have to print out the records for my student folders                 Great app but needs a fix Kformus

The app is okay I like the idea of taking and storing running records electronically but this app needs an easier way to make the check marks which indicate accurate reading As it is now the form ends up too messy I would use this app daily if there was some sort of check mark stamp perhaps one that marked a checkmark if the screen is tapped and then writing is activate if you hold down             It s OK KDG Teach

The thing I would like to change with this app is to type in the errors the student is making instead of drawing them in I like to write what the student say and what the word actually is for future reference                 This is great 4/5sdc teacher

I am just beginning to use this app but can already see how useful it will be especially as I share with classroom teachers I too would like to be able to delete records and I d like to know how to delete errors if I accidentally insert one                 Great App sjonely

This is an amazing app I have used it several times now to do running records and it captures everything you need It s easy to email the records as pdf or picture file I CANNOT SAVE THE FILE however I can create new folders but when I click on save nothing happens I have emailed to myself but it would be SO much better to be able to save the file on the ipad Hopefully this issue can be fixed soon                 Amazing App but a few minor issues FreundFamily-Andres

This is certainly a new frontier moving what Marie Clay designed to be done on a blank piece if paper to our latest technologies Thank you folks at Clemson for your tech work to make this happen Time will tell us how we use this I can see how the playback feature may be useful for reading recovery teacher leaders in their training classes and coaching sessions My only complaint is that the interface with my typical stylus is fairly imprecise Hard to write miscues and indicate self corrections and repeats with the equivalent of a crayon I will try again with a better stylus I m looking at the jot pro and bamboo as options                 Nice idea with current technology Mjbee6196

This is an awesome app I love it The only thing that could make it any better perfect perhaps is adding the ability to paste text into the scoring area I strongly believe you get a much more accurate record when actually marking on the text itself Maybe add ability to embed a snapshot or image of the text or PDF I don t know but that would be soooooo awesome                 Please add Mrs ap

I love using it it is simple and straight forward The only question I have is how come the accuracy rate does not always reflect the number of errors I am not using it for English learners so I can t put information such as the level of the text and maybe that has something to do with it but I don t see how I do put in the number and types of errors but for some reason even for students who struggle and make up to 10 errors reading a texts which consists out of 60 words the accuracy rate remains around 90 Is this a glitch                 Great app nastavnica

I love the idea of this app I take multiple running records daily but I noticed that it is not saving information such as rate FP level of book WPM These are little details that are essential when looking back at a student s reading Fantastic idea for an app I will love using this when glitches are fixed             Has a few glitches braintumorsurvivor

I love using this to perform my running records for guided reading It is nice that you can save and email them The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because when I save it it doesn t save their accuracy rate When I open the record back up it always shows 100 accuracy independent even though errors are marked I am having to write down the information because it wont be there when I go back later If this problem could be fixed this app will be a huge help in a teacher s life                 Guided reading Rae3384
