I have been a W J fan since 1986 and during my military and civil service years always searched for stations and later podcasts so I could listen every chance I got so when the app came out I was ecstatic and onboard immediately even paying for the additional access to hear all of their archives and music library The app caused me numerous problems over the years and initially John or Steve personally addressed my concerns as they had them as well Then the Premium portions disappeared and frequent issues including the white screen came up to cause my listening to be interrupted Mind you I have been a loyal listener in Japan Guam and all points in between over the years so not having radio access made the app my number one go to app Right now I haven t been able to access today s program then got the white screen deleted it and attempted to reload it but it just constantly shows downloading no program Despite the difficulties I cherish every minute my old friends are on             App isn t up to shows standards JimCHawaii

I love listening to shows like this when I m driving and I drive a lot but that is impossible with this app Here s what happens you have to be connected to the same wifi network that you downloaded the shows on in order to play a segment Once you start the segment you don t have to stay on the network to finish it But to start another segment after you finish one you must close the app dbl click home button and swipe up on iPhones and be on the same network again So essentially can t use app away from house     Streaming works but playback of downloaded shows doesn t ^CH^

August 8 2017 Just as I had about given up hope suddenly today with out notice or explanation the episodes are back Hooray Back to 3 stars Except now the little slider that is supposed to let you move forward and backward in programming is broken Subtract one star Have no idea how much the radio gawds paid for this app But they deserve better August 3 2017 App has stopped updating with new shows as of Friday July 28 2017 Ridiculous that one star is as low as I can rate a useless app What s really sad is that prior to this terrible app for years I had the shows coming to me as a podcast from one of their affiliate stations They never mentioned the podcast option but it worked FLAWLESSLY Unfortunately when they came up with this new app they killed the old podcast channel And now this app is apparently also dead April 11 2017 Static is apparently no more Huzah Up from one to three stars Now let s get on to improving the app First up the app needs skip forward backwards by 10 or 15 seconds buttons January 3 2017 Now the app simply doesn t download shows at all Zilch Nada Nothing I deleted and reinstalled it Still nothing On the bright side I suppose one could say the static is gone December 20 2016 Still static and banner ad getting in the way of the slider bar that should let us move back and forth in time in episodes I think the app developers are maybe ripping the gawds off again I mean how hard could it be After all this app really isn t anything more than a name branded podcast player Either the developers aren t trying or they are incompetent W J and their fans deserve better December 12 2016 Hate to have to do it but we are back to one star The banner ad at the bottom of the screen covers up the tiny slider bar that sometimes allows one to move forward and back during the segment And the static Gawd the static For a radio show you d think audio quality would be kind of important Apparently not At this point the app is darn near useless What a shame I hear the guys say just the other day that the app had been fixed But then they went on to say that the app developer contends that the users are breaking the app May be time to find a new app developer Third times a charm perhaps November 28 2016 Most recent update fixes App not playing in background issue Static remains Haven t tested for other issues yet Moving from 1 to 2 stars November 10 2016 Add to everything else that off line download does not seem to be working November 8 2016 PM I updated my iOS this evening I was one minor update behind and as a result now the app won t play when my phone switch is set for ringer off Still static and still wont play in the background Hopefully this all gets fixed soon The show is great The app is not November 8 2016 AM Do not update to the current app if you value ability to listen to W J in the background Latest update fixed Contact Us button but broke the ability to multi task while listening Also on going static problems for at least 2 months now Sounds like AM radio on a low quality cassette tape I will continue to update my review as the app is changed Banner ad at bottom of iPhone screen covers the scroll bar that allows one to move forward or backward in the show segment October 19 2016 Static problems cropped in about a month ago I assumed it was a one episode problem then that it would quickly be remedied finally that they must not know about it So I tried using the Contact Us button in the app Surprise That button is dead So I m sending a one star review so that hopefully someone gets the message I ll revise my review when the problems are fixed         Tragically bad app superlatively great show OldV

Show segments only play from a wifi network they were downloaded on It doesn t work on a phone network Even if you ve already downloaded shows they only play if you are connected to the wifi network that they downloaded through Adds sometimes cover the status bar preventing you from being able fast forward or rewind Funny show but it really needs to be a standard podcast     Only works on wifi DaleGribble97

Love the show and use the app everyday at some point even just for a segment or two My only issue is that it would be nice to have a skip feature I m usually listening to your show while at work or even when working out and it would be nice to be able to press one button to move onto the next segment I know your free app version is set up to cause users to see your sponsor s advertising but for the loyal paying customers it would nice to be able to transition between each segment more easily                     Needs a skip to next segment feature TheKT504

App has gotten better with each new version but new different problems keep popping up I am using an iPhone 6S Plus an iPad Air 3 so I don t think that the problems are hardware related Downloads don t play unless I am connected to Wifi And when a download does play the Radio Gawds keep repeating themselves during the segment because the recording jumps backwards about 5 10 seconds For future consideration please put in a search capability for the comedy songs bits so that we can for instance locate every song bit about crackheads when we need them Now the Contact Us button on the app stopped working     Two Steps Forward One Step Back Tom Meyer

Do not update This update makes the app virtually inoperable Even though this new version claimed it fixed the download issue it still doesn t work on my phone plus now it won t play in the background so you have to keep your phone open and connected to WiFi to be able to stream They must not test any update before going live with it because they keep releasing an unfinished buggy product Please W J find someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to developing apps     Fire the App Developer Yarrrrrrrrrrrgh!

So the new update was supposed to fix the download feature and not only does the download feature now not work but now the app will not run in the background so unless the app is pulled up and does not hibernate the app won t play This is definitely the Hillary Clinton of apps     What a mess Marctrew
