I recently had to call CS because after the latest iOS update on my iPad the app stopped connecting the cameras they did tell me it was a know issue and said there was an update for this but it was not in the update store they did not offer any alternative to fix this or told me when the update would be available the agent was very rude Bad customer service Dashwing

The new Auto Hide feature of the playback timeline bar in I the new version is very frustrating especially when you are seeking through the timeline and it disappears every one second Should have an option to deselect Auto Hide Frustrating CaptHCHO
This version fixed display issues however it has horrible memory leaks causing IPad to reboot constantly so is unusable as a live monitor Crash reports are sent automatically so I know QC is aware of the issue yet there has been 0 updates to fix Crashes IPad every 30 minutes Davahadz

The PTZ functionality from previous versions was revised to the point of un usability The the 4 axis dial pad to control pan tilt zoom focus etc is gone It was replaced by touch and swipe function which makes it impossible to precisely steer the camera Also fan heater wiper etc on off function is now gone A clear case of go home and do it again Download cannot be recommended if you have any PTZ equipment in you system This version is a down grade Not for PTZ No recommended at all . . . . . . . . . . . . . ?

Well I was able to connect to the iPad version for the first time in almost a year since having this system I gave them a star for that I gave them another star because it s Christmas That s it The apps continue to allow you to limp along using a small amount of the technology features you bought the system for The app beautifully combines good ideas with poor execution insulting help menus must be created by people who have obviously never been tasked with using their own software for anything important I wonder what kind of camera system software they use in their buildings I ll bet it isn t their own Another dismal effort by Q See Sunshine4254

This is for the programmers and the update done on Nov 20th I ve been using the viewer for several years and have been satisfied with it The last upgrade not so much You ve added a large orange bar at the top that is way to big and has cut down on how much of the camera views I cannot see a way of removing the bar that is to intrusive The other added features look ok If you could add an icon to toggle the bar off and on it would improve the viewing area and still have access to the new features QC Update I'mdisapointed

I gave this app 2 stars because it does work but needs ALOT of improvements I ve found the iPhone app is MUCH better but even that needs improvements My brother purchased a Q See surveillance system that uses the QT app where as with my system I have to use this dreaded QC app His QT app works great but this QC app is crap I really only want the app for viewing the cameras real time I don t have any desire to make changes or manipulate the cameras But frankly it barley does the live viewing My biggest complaint is the app doesn t remember my cameras I have to launch the app and click on the every time I want to view a camera Now mind you I have 8 cameras So I have to click on the 8 different times to see my cameras and it doesn t remember this so I do it EVERY time I want to view Not to mention I wasn t able to find any instructions so I have no idea what all the little buttons in the app do Works Kinda Mr Twigbert

The HD version of the Q See QC view app for the iPad has lots of potential but right now its functionality is substantially below that of the iPhone app I have both installed on my iPad and as long as you start the iPhone app in portrait mode there s a half screen glitch if you don t frankly it offers more control options functionality than the iPad HD app If all you plan to do is view your existing camera network then the HD app works fine But if you want to do any adjustments to the cameras then it simply doesn t work The Chanel Config in settings returns a system does not support device message for the native Q See bullet cameras that come with their systems I like the look and feel of the app and haven t had any memory errors mentioned by other users But from a functionally perspective in being able to do more than simply view security cam video this app falls way short Barely Adequate WoodDoc5171

This app is actually very functional works great But come on who designed this thing No labels but all cryptic icons that could have more than one meaning Then to top it off no tutorial the first time you start the program The first time you start up you will be lost in what to do Click the top icon that looks like a box with an arrow in it Then click on the bottom icon that looks like a gear This will take you to the settings menu to configure the connection to your security system It will also more important take you to the help menu that will explain the program and interface meanings You will need to study the help to figure out this program Lets hope QSee is not finished with this program It is very functional but it should not be this complicated to figure out Works great but the interface is horrible beginner suggestion
At first I was having so much difficulty getting this new update to work I pretty much did the same thing what most if you would of done I went online to look for answers Someone wrote in this review section About choosing a blank box to assign the camera That is what I did and poof all is well now For those who are still having trouble Here is a guide that I hope can be of some sort of help Before you start you will need your user name and password along with your address and port number Step 1 Log in using your user name and password keep in mind Case sensitive Step 2 once you log in on your right hand side you will need to edit the server list click on the pencil to edit Step 3 click on what ever the default name it shows a box will appear Fill in the blanks titleaddressportuserpassword and hit save Step 4 once that is done click on the arrow next to server list On the bottom menu choose the kind of configuration you like to use 1 camera 4 camera and etc Step 5 Now you should be able to see either 1 or 4 blanks screen boxes click once on the box and assign your camera accordingly Keep in mind click once not double click Hopefully that helps good luck Much more functions and advance

When I close the app and exit it completely then try to reopen it my settings arent saved I need to select the cameras again Also favorites dont display images as described Settings dont save
Could be a good app but there are a few issues Constant out of memory warnings I have to restart the iPad I have subscribed to Push alerts but after a few days they stop working I have to redownload the app and resubscribe to push alerts When playing back videos I can play about 10 before playback freezes and I have to select a new time window and start playback again Every time I start the app I have to reload each camera and arrange the tiles This should be saved Buggy but could be cool

If you only want to watch live activity this app should work for you But if you need to see recorded footage on your NVR this app is still not functioning If you set up alerts it can not show you the footage that caused the alert The poor guy at tech support has never even seen anyone try to use these functions on an iPhone or an iPad He has only seen the app that is written for his Samsung phone Can not view recordings

The app has some nice features and I didnt find the user interface as confusing or difficult to use as others The big problem with the app as others have stated is the constant memory issues which causes the app to lose all of you current camera viewing preferences I have to readd the cameras and arrange them almost every time I open the app Since this is an app to view security cameras being able to open it and view your cameras quickly is a must and something his app fails at horribly I will note that I upgraded from a 4camera system to an 8camera system and I had significantly fewer issues when only running 4 cameras Looks Promising but Needs Work
