Pulp Reader - Comic Reader

I have been using this app for some time Its easy to use comics are loaded from iTunes to the app I really like the feature to file groups or collections all together Easy to delete read or unwanted comics A most have app for comic readers                 Awesome app

I like this a lot However there are some quirky things that made me choose other apps One you cant delete an individual book within the app My biggest gripe is that when optimizing it will shrink some cover jpg files Its actually a good app that needs some updates           has a lot of options but still a work in progress

The app is very aesthetically pleasing I love the background and it has a great layout Needs some improvements though It would be nice to have the ability to rotate to landscape mode When you add a comic to another to form a folder the app crashes The app crashes after opening a comic for the first timefor me at least           Okay app

With one main exception this app has been an enjoyable experience The exception is that there seems to be no landscape modeand if implemented please let the width of the comic fill that of the screen orientation Unless it is for generation of the thumbnail images very nicely implemented by the way I find it puzzling that nearly every time I open a comic I have to wait for the comic to finish loading its a minor wait but one you will quickly notice To be fair I have not yet tried to put a series of comics into a foldercomic box to see how well that works This comic reader has good potential to be better I hope it gets there           A Nice App That Needs Some Tweaking

I have tried almost all the comic book apps in the App store and this one is close to being perfect Pros 1 This can support nested folders so I dont need to change my organization iTunes does not support folders but you can use disk aid to transfer entire folders 2 Clean layout and just the right amount of options 3 No down conversion of images Perfect on the new iPad Cons 1 Very slow Both in the generation of thumbnails as well as opening a comic 2 No landscape mode support This could be a deal breaker for some 3 A few bugs and occasional crashes              Very Goog but just stops short of amazing

I got this comic reader mainly for its ability to create collections which it did perfectly when I got it a year ago For the last few months though I have not been able to place any new comics into collections and it is driving me crazy because I have hundreds of comics When it try to create a new collection it will not allow me to create a name for it and I get error 516 However I can place comics into existing collections Please fix this issue ASAP     Collections not working

Seems to be great but my iOS file manager reports that the cbrz files are not registered with the os Soit is a bummer right now        IOS compatability

It has a lot of potential but there are a few things that has to be worked on Crashes when launching a comic for the first time Crashes sometimes when comics are uploaded Extraction every time you open the comic Occasional crashes when extracting What would be nice to see Landscape mode Individual deleting Tagging and editing I do like the interface and the collection dragging and the ability to view thumbnails of each page Its a simple reader that gets the job done but I hope features get added and fixed before this becomes a paid app again It seems like it is in a beta stage right now hope more updates come           Not a bad start

The function of any Comic book reader should be to make it easy to navigate and read a comic book The extrs stuff such as creating collections is also improtant When using this app it is hard to get to the home screen Several taps are needed and often I wind up changing pages The screen that shouls pop up first is the Smart collection screen The unsorted books should show up laterIn addition when I place a book in a collection it should be removed from the unsorted screen This lets me know what needs to be added to the collection There should be a list view There shouls be an option to rename files Over All I give this APP A B rating and three stars           Ok As far as it goes

Definitely a beta app Maybe Ill update my rating once they are done with developing it           Beta

I purchased this app for 99 and must say I am very pleased It is so simple Just sync the iPad open up apps and drag and drop cbr files into the shared folder in iTunes I was reading Punisher comics in minutes I have a ton of comics in cbr format and am looking forward to reading them and re reading the old Marvel GI Joe comics that I grew up with No problems so far and I have ripped through a dozen comics already                 Works great

This is a great app for reading comics Ive experienced zero lag while using it on my iPad mini Zooming and transitioning between pages is seamless This is a great app                 Well worth it

This app is great for reading comics on my iPad My only complaint is that there seems to be an issue with scrolling through titles and moving files into folders Whatever covers are shown as icons on the screen are permanent when scrolling through everything so when you try to scroll up or down it quickly becomes a mess I really hope a fix is coming because otherwise this app is fantastic It reads cbr and cbz files with no trouble although the app crashed about 1 out of every 10 or 12 times when loading a comic book there is no loading between pages pinch to zoom works great etc It does just about everything              This app is great but it could be even better
