I love this game and am glad it still works on the iPad While the game looks old it still works great and I haven t had any problems                     Looks dated but still plays great Amcd09

The AI is very good and this suffices to get your playing in Unlike playing online with BGA where one can wait a day or longer for their turn It s also the way to hone ones strategies as you simply can t see strategies when you have to wait a day for your turn I am not sure the colonist function is working correctly I have never seen 18 colonists on the ship in the BGA games or in live playing with friends It ends the game soon especially if someone has a hospice These large numbers of ship colonists happen often maybe it s correct lots of vacant buildings Idk The expansion sets would be nice to have too something to program for the future Overall a great quick way to get your PR gaming in                 Very good Giveyourdogabone

Puerto Rico stands near the top of the heap as far as modern board games go It s easy to learn has many pathways to victory and has a fun theme This app has been around a few years and is a solid adaptation of the game This may not sound impressive but many board game adaptations are pretty weak and many are buggy The AI works well enough though at this point I can beat it pretty regularly The online component is solid but I don t find many people looking for games these days I was heartened to see the recent update to a 64 bit app which shows the developer hasn t abandoned the app something that has happened with a few of my other favorites TLDR just buy it you won t regret it                     Modern Classic Great App purplestallion

Now that Apple discontinued Game Center in iOS 10 there s no longer any way to setup an online multiplayer game none at all The game needs a patch asap         No online multiplayer in iOS 10 J-Gitz

If you purchase this game it will give you a dialogue box when you open it saying that it will slow your iPad down because the current version is so old We are so disappointed This was an expensive app and they only kept it up to date for a year Great game Horrible developers This game is amazing We love the app also I would gladly give it 5 stars when it is working However it s been a year without updates and the online play is broken It never works The turns won t ever advance without quitting the app and logging back in We have to do it over and over to play This was too expensive of an app to have the developers ignore updates winces 2014 Fix the bug So it s been a while since my review and the developers have still not given an update     I love this game and app but until it gets an update NateSPhoto

I had played the board version several years ago and enjoyed it so I bought this version which works pretty well I am playing it on my iPad version 1 and my iPad Mini and it works flawlessly on both It was difficult and a little frustrating re learning the iPad version and I had to go through the tutorial and instructions a couple of times Something that makes it tricky is that the buildings are kind of small icons and not memorizing what they are makes the player have to keep looking to see what you have bought All of that said once you learn the game it is very addicting I would definitely recommend this game app                 I like it a lot Henry B NYC

The graphics and selection options are confusing They aren t always consistent with board game graphics and images are too similar with no presented text Why make relevant graphical details so small and similar when you have plenty of space Not at all worth the effort or money     Needs Major Interface Usability Improvements Sun2874313

This is an excellent implementation of Puerto Rico The only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me is the inability to play with alternate rules The alternate rules i d like to see are switching the cost of the factory and university so the factory would cost 8 and the university 7 and changing the amount of starting money for players with corn to one less doubloon I put alternate in quotes because the maker of the game Andreas Seyfarth has stated that he recommends the change to the factory and university costs for balance issues As for the starting doubloons it has been found in tournament play that players starting with corn are statistically much more likely to win Changing the starting doubloons fixes that Another feature I d love to see is online play but even without those features it is still an extremely well done implementation of a great game                 Great game Needs two options McNallSL

I took the tutorial twice to try to figure out how to play having never played the board game Once I got the basic idea I played and played usually in last place Then I finally won a game Combination of strategy and luck kind of like in Ticket to Ride or Catan Then I got the board game which my wife and I play 2 player Still like the app game and the board game both                     Addictive radio9phs

Overall a great game Well implemented no performance issues or crashes Some suggestions to get it to 5 stars Option for totally random game Random number of players random position random start player random assignment of computer players etc Would make it easier to set up a quick game with more variation between games More computer players with different styles and preferred strategies especially at the harder level Get rid of or ability to suppress pop up full screen graphics first time each role is selected in a game They don t seem to add anything just adds an extra click Don t force waiting for your turn for things where it doesn t matter such as placing colonists Would be important with real players so you don t give away what you re going to do but not so much with computer players that could be programmed to not take early selections into account or programmed to take into account to add a level of complexity i e do you give away what you plan to do to try to influence their choice Look into online multiplayer similar to what Catan has implemented                 Suggested Enhancements kingjpk
