Developed by a Psychiatrist for mental health providers, from seasoned clinicians to students. Psych Dx aims to be the pocket reference of choice, a learning tool regularly updated with new features. Its goal is to offer something ...
Most of the complaints about this app are because the people buying it want it to be something its not Did People really think they were going to get the entire DSMIV for 599 This is a great app for people that are actually working in the field It probably isnt as helpful for students The updates are great and I hope they continue The developer is very responsive to questions This is probably the most professional psych app out there Good app
More detail would have given it 5 stars Great app
This is an excellent app to have as a psych resident Well worth it Awesome app
Major help as I travel to different locations during the day and i can check Dxs codes and easily put into notes Easy and intuitive to use Great app
Works great very thorough FANTASTIC
Quite helpful for psych rotation Quick reference easy to use very handy PA Student
Works great in my line of work crisis intervention Awesome
I use this with every assessment Mark Licensed Professional Counselor Fantastic
I use this app all the time I find it helpful while writing paperwork Useful
Great app for quick references Good for clinicals it helped a lot
Very helpful Im not surprised that it was created by a psychiatrist because it certainly seems like it was put together by someone who understands how psychiatrists think and what we consider helpful or not I use it every day The GAF algorithm is convenient and I often use it as a second opinion to check GAF I am ready to assign to a patient The coding feature is really slick too especially for the dozens of confusinglysimilar substance abusedependence codes A fine app
Outstanding MD
I go through this thing sometimes to kill time and Im surprised by how fresh it keeps my clinical thinking Its been great for work I never thought Id use an ap so much for my job Im excited to see how the pricier DSM V ap will look when it comes out makes me consider having another helpful work ap The PsycDx ap has been very much worth the money Lots of info for the price
Great quick reference for dx codes Crisis worker
Really useful application Very straightforward and easy to use DSM codes are now much easier to find Thanks Excellent
Great application I cannot work without it If you are already experienced with symptomatology and diagnosis its perfect because all you have to do is look for the codes Love it Thank you Perfect
Worth the price easily The benzodiazepine equivalency chart is great to name one of many great features However I wish more detail was present for many items statistics elaborated definitions interactions comorbidity rates etc I recommend this app because of the quality of what is in it but if you are as specifically detail oriented as I am you may find it a bit too concise Mr
As a psych intern I use this every day I love both the MSE and coding sections Remarkably useful
Useful Not cluttered No app is going to have all the information needed Thats okaymost textbooks dont contain all the info we do residency to obtain but once in awhile I just want a quick reference list or a concise definition to help me explain a long ago integrated concept to newbies I like the quick app like metrics Sure I could print them out but seriously who has time for that nowadays This world moves too fast for me to commit all these lists to memory Thanks developers for producing a useful product I like it
Does the job Great product
Excellent quick reference tool Definitely a faster ways of looking up codes and jargon than paging through the DSMIVTR Excellent
Could be better if allowed to save clients answers Good on the go
I use this App a lot and find it extremely helpful when doing MSEs or when needing a definition I highly recommend this to any counselor or mental health professional who is fairly new in the field A wonderful resource Awesome app
This is very useful esp the MSE section Would like them to add more content but regardless I use it every time Im in the hospital It was worth the price Good app
Amazing And easy to use
Works great for field mobile crisis work Crisis use
Not bad but not stellar helpful
Good Good
Practical user friendly Really great for quick reference while seeing pts Obvious that the psychiatrist who made this actually sees patients Great app
Great for icd9 Great ref for coding
The ICD9 codes are very useful for a practicing physician Its much easier to look up the codes on the app instead of using the actual DSMIV manual Am looking forward to the GAF rating scale and benzodiazepine equivalents guide I am not sure what the nataliasand is referring to about it being out of date Practical good for the trained physician
Its a quick tool to find dsm codes GAF tool is helpful too Helpful
very comprehensive and a great quick reference A great tool when working with those suffering w mental illness LOVING IT
Love the app and very useful I would like to see more detail but it is useful as is Great app
Algorithms are done very well The app is well organized I like that if I am looking for a lab then I can look up the lab name or I can approach the app with the diagnosis but I want to check a lab or perform a work up Gets you to the information quickly really enjoy the medical work up sections Has references works in progress for physician resident and medical student feedback High Yield Fast Resource
Not worth the money The mental disorders are not described in detail There is not much depth in the categories It promises a lot but fails to deliver Im a psych doctor and the only category that has any worth is the MSE However that info can be easily found online with definitions of the vocab for example tangential or echolalia Not worth the
Pretty good like the labs and testing references Psychintern
It is a good little program I wish it had more explanations with the MSE The part about Affect is deficient Not bad
ICD9 codes with all 5 digits ie the 2 numbers after the decimal points are included Reasons for ordering labs as pertaining to psych Descriptions of MSE terminology Love it Totally worth the price Love it
Accurate and easy to use Excellent clinical tool
Overall good app but could use Update to ICD10 provide crosswalk between ICD10 and DSM V provide clinical explainationsdescriptions for ICD 10 billing codes improve rating scale sectionadd more common scales add scales for more disorders and age groups Good app but could use some improvements
Great functionality for the trained clinician Awesome clinical tool
As a student this was very helpful during my clinical rotation I would recommend it Very helpful quick reference
A great collection of clinical tools and references organized into a logical hierarchy that keeps them easily accessible when you need them I work psych consult liaison so I dont have a bookshelf full of references at my fingertips when Im seeing patients This lets me carry some of the most pertinent ones in my pocketone day in and Im hooked The MSE section is great when Im trying to come up with the right descriptor and having one of my senior wordfinding deficit moments the GAF algorithm is awesome and the benzo list alone is worth at least half the price of the app Thank you Useful stuff no fluff
Helpful information Worth the 599 I paid RN Behavioral Health
This app saves time and frustration because of the easy algorithms and practical info Great find
Im a psychiatry resident So the symptom scales and lab sections are very useful I use it often and I recommend it Its well organized It is not meant to be a general psychiatry reference but more of a toolbox Most of the stuff included is either lost inside of or not included in texts or references Its very accessible info and thats why I like it It gives me the edge of information that other residents generally dont have Useful and worth it
I am a psych intern in a metropolitan ED and this application covers essentially everything I need to know Helping me from narrowing down the GAF to ICD9 codes for billing to checking labs before asking the nurses stupid questions The MSE is my number one tool I refer to for my evaluations and its especially helpful for my writeups Cant wait for more featuresupdates Awesome learning tool for students
I have the mental status exam memorized and have since jnternship I can easily look up codes I dont use often on the Internet GAF is simple As a psychologist I find this useless Useless for me
Not for professionals Too brief and simple Meant more for lay people that want a quick reference Give it a couple of revisionand juice it up Psych
