PromptSmart - The Smartest Teleprompter for the Easiest Public Speaking Experience

The designers seem to have forgotten that this is an Apple device app There is no import from Pages no import from iCloud and no import from local Mac file sharing So now I have to create an account on some random service I dont use make copies of my files to it all so I can use so I can use this one app Abysmal Also be aware that it cant read doc or Pages file formats docx and txt only     No iCloud import

Tried some other TelePrompter Apps but this one is simple effective and user friendlyScripts are easy to load edit and the voice command is pretty cool Worth the money                 Awesome App Does Exactly What You Need

I develop video training courses and often need to deliver long narrative in front of the camera This app is perfect for teleprompt work the voice activation was key as I work alone mostly and need both my hands free while presenting The mirrow text allows me to use my teleprompt device so my eyes stay on the camera as I talk Its really easy to use I didnt need to read any instructions and this is my first Teleprompter Buy this app                 Outstanding App

Cant believe how well this app performs given its price In many ways it does a better job than a human teleprompt operator The audio record function is very handy This app could save productions time and money while improving the presentation itself A few glitches here and there sure Im sure the developers will work them out soon In the meantime enjoy and be amazed                 Insanely great

I am writing this from my hotel room at a conference where I have used this app to give a talk It worked amazingly well I was initially skeptical as it seemed expensive and I was unsure it would really work on my ipad 2 But while there were a couple of hiccups I have to say I was really impressed at how well it did For the most part it worked as advertised and was really with the money I was able to pull my text from google drive with no fuss and only a modicum of editing afterward In fact I even copied and pasted a section from one talk to another as I was listening to the speaker before me It was easy and worked well I will say there were a couple of things that did not go perfectly Occasionally the program seems to get lost and it stops scrolling You can always scroll manually when this happens However if you keep where you are speaking roughly in the middle of the screen it seems to catch up Additionally the slider buttons in the settings dont seem to save if you slide them you have to tap them but then they do save Both these hints I got from customer service and CEO and president Eric who was really responsive to my entreaties for help He responded to me quickly and it is for that reason if nothing else that the program is worth it how often do you get really good customer service with an app And really to see the text scroll along while you are speaking is really quite magical I will use it every time I speak now and it was definitely worth the money                 So worth the money

This makes all other teleprompters obsolete with its voice recognition and auto scroll features A surprisingly strong product at almost any price                 Very Clever and Powerful

Bought this app because I could import files from one drivesadly it doesnt work Says loading contents for the last 20 minutes Time for a refund     One drive support doesnt work

I am a ToastMaster and an audio producer at my church and have been using teleprompting programs for years but I have never used anything that was so robust There are a couple quarts however the inability to change the speed of the text while it scrolling but thats not an issue when the prompter is actually listening to you Its tough to let go of the old ways but now I really like it The ability to record a video segment with the Teleprompter combined with the front facing camera on your iPhone is what really sets this app apart Totally worth the money                 Wow

Im a pastor I speak for a living and often several times a week A while ago I switched to saving my notes as PDFs and using Goodreader A workable system but nothing like PromptSmart WOW I used it for the first time last Sunday evening and it was so easy and intuitive that right out of the gate it worked flawlessly So good for my trial run which was a relatively short address But this morning was the acid test A one hour and quite complex sermon And PromptSmart has become my new best friend It greatly increased my ability to keep eye contact with my audience it tracked with almost no problem when I went off script and came back And being able move it if needed with the flick of a finger makes this app hands down the most useful one for public speaking Ive used or seen I was so impressed I immediately demonstrated it for the other 5 guys on staff who might use it You guys have hit the ball out of the park and I am truly grateful Fantastic piece of software                 Superb

Im truly impressed by what they have done They took teleprompter software to a whole new level with this voice recognition completely eliminating not only a dedicated teleprompter person in the traditional sense but also eliminating newer technologies such as having to fumble with a remote app on another device or bluetooth remotes Speed control Whats that Not necessary Just talk Wow Bravo Great support too Works perfectly on my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 6 Plus                 Amazing teleprompter software

When I first got this it was glitchy and not working After the latest update it worked better but still not close to as promised Too many bugs When Im going over a script it gets stuck and I have to manually move it That defeats the whole purpose of voice recognition If Im at a distance forget about using this app I really wanted this to work but unfortunately itS not worth spending the money for I hope they come up with an update to fix this problem        Works sometimes

Delivering an academic paper can be daunting however this app made it so much easier I uploaded my paper and it worked as advertised I was particularly happy that this update included support for bluetooth mics The speech recognition feature allowed to deliver my paper without having 20 pages of doublespaced text which allows you to avoid the whole oops I misplaced a page moment In addition the script stopped when I paused to make a clarifying point that was not in my paper and when I came back on script it resumed scrolling Seriously this app is worth it Ive been recommending it to my colleagues at the college ever since I first used and with this update its even better Its a great tool for anyone who delivers speeches or prepared remarks                 Perfect for my panel presentation

I initially had problems and posted about them in a review see original below But after emailing around 1230am EST I received an extensive reply before 8am on Sunday the next morning Reinstalling in iOS8 seems to be frequently necessary Im impressed The voice recognition works well I am a bit concerned that the wait for the software to adjust to ambient sound although not long may make it difficult to use the VoiceTrack feature for public speaking one of my objectives For recordings however this looks great The connection w Google drive works but needs improvement of which the developers are aware Original I just purchased this for my iPhone 6 When the scroll setting is on voicetrack I get a loading message with a spinning circle that never stops The app will work if I set it to a fixed scrolling rate There also seems to be a problem with accessing Google Drive It does not see any documents that were added to the drive after the app was first loaded     Great support

I was wondering how I would control the speed without a controller until I actually tried this out by voice activationwow this app blows away everything else It has a great editing tool which I find easier than importing a file The sound pickup on my iPad picked up the signal from about six foot away just fine                 Wow This is the best TelePrompTer

It does what you want without a lot of figuring out how it works Voice tracking is the icing on the cake                 Simple intuitive

I just minutes ago downloaded this for a speech I am giving tomorrow morning Effortlessly imported script from a word docx on Dropbox Hit the play button and practiced Its like magic The screen scrolled perfectly with my speaking Honestly maybe Im behind on my tech knowledge But this worked better then I could ever have imagined I will never give a speech without it                 So good I can hardly believe it

I downloaded PromptSmart yesterday because I was creating a commercial for my company I was having problems remembering all my lines and the paper notes were making me look away from the camera After opening this app I typed it all out and connected my iPad to the camera tripod and I was able to get through it quicker and easier than before I would highly recommend this app to anyone it worked as promised                 Angello

Im still glad I made the purchase because I like the autoscroll but the voice recognition is useless I contacted support and they provided suggestions on how to make it more responsive They need to go back to the drawing board on this still useless           Worth it but voice recognition

I have used tons of teleprompter apps and setups Why have we not had voice activated before this I love it Every other promoter seems subpar now                 Love this

I was not aware I cant control the script with a keyboard or Bluetooth controller Wish I could get my money back Good app except for no Bluetooth keyboard support Unfortunately that makes this worthless for me        No bluetooth support

This app is going to save me big on editing my video blogs Awesome app that I would highly recommend after admittedly being quite skeptical to it at first The addition of not having to have a remote in my hand makes for much more natural hand movements Two thumbs up                 Outstanding

I thought it was a hoax that it would actually listen to you and only move as you speak the wordstruly amazing My YouTube channel videos will look so much more professional I often want to stop talking and allow for the power of the pause but the other telepromters Ive used continue to scroll as is expected I cannot recommend this app enough                 Oh my word

Im thrilled with this app I was skeptical but the voice tracking works remarkably well in a variety of different environments The ability to see a timer is also very helpful Ive not yet tried the audio and video recordings but look forward to trying those soon This is well worth the 999 I paid                 Almost too good to be true

Im not sure how I managed before this app Ive recorded numerous jobs using the voice recognition scrolling feature and Im finding that Im spending less time editing because I nailed the copy the first time And for long form narration especially I cant imaging being without it Now if they would only add copypaste                 Awesome for voiceover work

Recently I bought a teleprompter rig on Amazon with the angled mirror and went looking for iPad software to run in it Bought this one for its unique features like the scrolling syncd with your voice even though some reviewers didnt like how loud you had to be to drive it successfully Taking this into account I took the clipon mic Ive used before and plugged it into the iPad headphone jack The app took its audio input for both the syncd scrolling and the audio recording from the mic clipped to my shirt with my normal speaking voice The audio record feature eliminated a pocket digital voice recorder I used to use to capture audio to use in edit instead of the track on the video recording Wish we had more control over audio quality              Very glad I bought this software

This is the best prompter app I have seen for the cost I was the guest speaker at a JROTC military ball last night I put the app on my iPad mini I sat the iPad on the podium at the head table As I delivered my speech all the distinguished guest at the table notice my speech scrolling as I spoke and when I went off script to emphasize a point the scrolling stopped They were absolutely astounded that a cost effective app on an iPad could do this The Army officer in charge of the group took down the app info to rush home to buy it The product endorsed itself Seeing is believing Now there is one area I am having an issue with When I save a script and try to run it back through it does not scroll I have to import back down from Drop Box again That is why only 4 stars out of 5 But I highly recommend the product              Excellent Product

I have used a few other Teleprompter apps and when I read about this one it seemed too good to be true I am completely delighted that this app works exactly as stated Importing the script from Dropbox is a cinch The settings menu is simple to use Most importantly the app itself works flawlessly Its wonderful to be able to vary your pacing and Promptsmart pauses when you do and adjusts its speed to keep up with your rate of speech Whereas I used to dread recording multiple videos the only part that seems like work is writing the script Im very grateful for this app I love it                 Promptsmart works spectacularly well

It was perfect the first time I used it and it saved me hours of time and effort memorizing things for video production                 A must have you gotta get this

Awesome awesome awesome So far this app has worked beautifully My files are easy to import with Dropbox The prompter tracks my words very very well as long as I keep my volume up It stops as soon as I go off topic and picks up again as soon as I start back in the script Works great with both my iPad and iPhone6 A sensitivity adjustment for the mic might be nice                 Awesome

This app makes me feel like a pro Ive never felt that before I sound great The single biggest factor is scrolling Most apps let you handscroll or set a fixed scroll speed The former demands part of your attention and involvement and the latter locks you into an unnatural cadence Compared to that having someone else handle the scrolling at your pace while you read would be 1000x better Well this app intelligently does that for you And it works really well This app has a host of other features its clear they understand the problems and have put in a bunch of niceties to have things flow smoothly You can audio or video tape yourself You can import a script from a variety of sources You can set the look of the scrolling text I can confirm all of this works well I only just started but if this app has bugs or drawbacks I havent encountered them yet                 Beautiful elegant solution to teleprompters biggest problem
