This is a fun easily the best football app on the AppStore With indepth playcalling the game gives you a good feel on being a coach and making the offense and defense work well Highly recommend anyone that is a fan of the game Plus the dev is planning on adding a career mode as well as some other great features Cant wait to see where it leads                 PSF 14 is great

The developer lied about integrating career play Instead he made it a separate app     Dont buy this

Its ok but I think it would be better if you had player names and real stadiums and Im still waiting for career mode        Ok

Fantastic football strategy game You dont need fast fingers or tons of money to buy IAPs Not only is this the best football game I have ever played but the developer responded quickly to a bug I mentioned Five stars for game five stars for developer Plot out your play and watch it work or fail against opponent Love it even though in the last three games I lost one on a last second Hail Mary my field goal attempt to win overtime was blocked and I got blown out by a last place team getting intercepted three times and losing three fumbles                 Ten Stars

Fun game but the programming for results seems suspect to me I discovered a hack where you could backtrack one play and found through experiment that the result of the play was often the same regardless of what play I called on offense always a fumble or defense always a big gain So it doesnt seem like your strategy actually matters Tends to have too many blocked kicks and field goal percentage is lower in under 40 yarders than in long ones Seems not just tilted towards stronger teams but rigged Seattle returns almost all kicks to midfield Still its the only real football app I know that is set up for coaching via play selection I like the concept and graphics but the execution doesnt really appear to be strategy based        Where is the Strategy

First off I want to thank Kerry Batts and his team for the hard work that goes into this awesome sim Ive been playing since its 1st release on iOS PSF 2014 is back and better then ever with a new interface and very very in depth chart The UI and display has gotten a major whole new look that it totally amazed me after getting some use to Sometimes I like to just boot the game and look at the stats of my team as well other teams to get an idea of who I may and may not possibly face in single season mode Wow is all I can say when hearing of the Couch career mode that is coming in a soon to be released update based on Mr Batts post on PSF Facebook page I love Turn Based games and this Football Sim has always delivered as that as well as a solid Football game sim                 2014 and it just keeps getting better

This is the first time Ive felt compelled to write a review for an app For me PSF is not just the best mobile football game but the best sports sim for the iPhone Arcadeaction football games dont transfer well to the small touchscreen mobile setting given the speed and complexity of the game and the sheer number of things that happen during a single play As a result mobile football games are often dumbed down to make them more manageable to play Instead PSF takes the alternate and more sensible route of providing a strategyfocused football sim yielding a deep complex strategy game that feels like a puzzlechess version of football There are a ton of coaching options and the ingame help is amazing I honestly learned more about pro football strategy such as pros and cons of formations plays etc from this game than I did from years of playingwatching football games Also the AI seems very competitive so far Overall this is an highly enjoyable thinking mans version of football and I would recommend it to any fan of pro football Suggestions for improvement 1 Edit player names would love to play with real player names 2 Allow quarterbacks maybe only toprated ones to have a multiple prioritized options first choice second choice on pass plays instead of always throwing to the one intended receiver 3 Have multiple AI difficulty levels 4 Support audibles maybe within a time limit Anyway great job by the dev                 Deep complex football sim

I usually dont enjoy the sim type of sports games This one plays very fast and is easy to get into Great game                 Lots of fun

BUTIts not without its criticisms Ive put put tons of hours into the game but I believe its still a year or two out before being the most ridiculously addictive game of all time              Best Football App Out There

This game definitely makes you feel like a coach You can call all sorts of plays just remember for play action to change drop back to pass to play action or kick within a formation The interface improved over past versions and the graphics and snow effects are awesome You will feel all sorts of emotions playing this and challenging your inner coach                 Excellent presentation cant wait for an update

Cool idea Calldesign plays Track stats etc This could be awesome especially with the Tecmo Bowl inspired graphics Unfortunately its very limited No zone blitzes Limited formations No read optionspread option Route trees are limited Being able to drafttrade players would be great but its not very high on my list I didnt buy career mode for that reason Ideally you would be able to create your own playbook with any formations you want any routesoptions you need and then call plays ingame from your playbook That type of game would create wonderful head to head matches Such is not the case here If a fully functional play designereditor is included in career mode I would buy it           35 stars

This is the best football game for iOS without a doubt For being able to pick the plays and make finite decisions this game surpasses all the others Whether you play one scrimmage or play a season this has you covered You can replay the action with full replay controls Lots of help available too                 Best football game period

TOO MUCH INGAME TAMPERING WHEN PLAYING VS THE COMPUTER Yeah I get it one shouldnt be able to coach Jacksonville and achieve a season record of 142 But cmon The way in which the software manipulates the game favoring the better team vs a weaker team is ridiculous at times via assessing loads of penalties andor turnovers to the weaker team or obvious TIMELY ones during critical plays There are also other nonsensical controlling mechanisms where defensive schemes that were utterly useless in the first half of play against the opposing teams offense inexplicably achieve mysterious success in the second half of a closescore game Also need to tone down some of the special team play specifically teams with good kick returners The outcomes of 40 yard returns EVERY TIME is not reasonable play The game is definitely worth the price just tone down the tweaking of outcomes during play in favoring the better team           Improved Version from 2013 but

This is the best for armchair football strategists It doesnt try to compete with the hiphop bigtime franchises What it does do is catch the spirit of competition and play calling with realistic odds and outcomes That part feels right Most of the stats seem right Needs to keep evolving the interface and Id find a top view X and O animation just as much fun as the attempted player animations This is a game worth supporting to see where it can go              Really Good American Football
