this is a great app but the new update is bad It will show that I have open orders even tho they have paid it shouldnt be open the app freezes and closes please fix this but still a great app for business        bad

Researching POS applications I came across Lavu tried it out and I have never looked back Its price point is remarkable its fast gives me a wide range of functionality and the reporting is exactly what I need for operating successfully When I have to call in they provide topnotch support I have recommended this to my friends Its a great app                 Thank you

As far as speed goes the update seems to have really sped up the process of checking customers out I am also excited about the fact that there is now an offline mode that we can use instead of having to upgrade to a local server It relieves the anxiety of having to rely solely on my internet              Like Night and Day

Great back of house reporting lower credit card rates with Mercury and it saves the servers so much time being able to send orders to kitchen before leaving the table Its worth the money to have a specialist set the system up right youre still saving in the long run Thank you Lavu                 Best POS

It is a good pos system but too slow for fast busy paced restaurant Too many times tickets get lost and weird errors happenings           Good but not great

I usually have little to no problems with this pos system the company I will agree it has some hiccups once in a while but they usually are quick to respond to complaints and quickly find resolutions for any problems or missing things we may needor buttons we needreports ect                 Easy user friendlygreat customer service

UPDATE Lavu is on a roll Enhanced split check feature items able to be moved to different orders changing seat course options They are really nailing the detail now This is making life so much easier Keep them coming TEAM LAVU OLD REVIEW Though I cant give it a 5 star rating yet this little POS company has been adding more features than any other POS provider I have run across The price was 60 less than other PC POS estimates and the software upgrades are included Ask the PC POS companies how much their upgrades cost and youll find that they cost THOUSANDS The restaurant biz is tough enough and we have found life a bit easier after implementing POS Lavu You need to at the very least give it a chance As an independent owner you wont be disappointed              Near Perfect POS

I have installed the POS System at my Restaurant and have no complaints A server based pos needs a good reliable and secure internet to work well We served 3 hundred guests on thanks giving with zero issues We are located in bucks county and will happily recommend this system Only issue is timekeeping isnt up to standards and minimal drivers used for compatible pos printers Buy Star printers from Zepher and you wont have issues I tried Ebay and they wont work with lavu Jerry Centre Bridge Inn                 LAVU Great POS System and Still Growing

The app is so much faster and more reliable Internet is spotty at my place sometimes and not having to go manually into offline mode has really increased our workflow                 5 stars for 30

Poslavu has completely changed our restaurant This point of sale is exactly what we needed It supports our entire menu processes credit cards and gives our staff something to be excited about This has done so many positive things for us Highly recommend it                 Blown away

POSLavu is a great POS system at an affordable price systems like the one I have would have cost me double or triple of what I paid Easy to use and make modifications to any menu And the back office is unbelievable as well Inventory hourly salesemployee time the list goes on and on of what its capable of doing Their team at POSlavu are always improving on there operation system it almost seems monthly Lastly I cant forget to mention the support team you can call these guys and gals at any time and they are quick to answer any questions you may have This by far is the most professional and polite customer service that Ive had the pleasure of dealing with Keep up the good work POSlavu Uncle Johnnys                 Owner

Ive been with this company for 3 years now In that time they have come from a weak limted product to be the leader in this iPad POS market Whats more they are still constantly evolving the app and user interface Customer service used to be plagued with long waits but in the last year it has become very professional and prompt I can appreciate that new business entering a totally new market is going to be faced with challenges What I like about Lavu is thier willingness to listen learn and adapt to what the custome needs                 Long Journey

We are not able to swipe credit cards to take payment It just does not work and got worse with the last version Waiters at our 2 restaurants are incredibly frustrated as they have to enter all card numbers manually Not adapted for high volume restaurants Too slow and buggy It does not sync with quickbooks and does not provide payroll information And they will charge you extra to use iPad minis to take orders or you wont be able to process payments So we have to stick to iPods but screen is too small     POS

I have always been a fan of Lavu Now I am completely sold They have pushed out some new features that have really improved my restaurant The customer database is the big one I am able to pull up customer order history which really comes in handy Plus I am still paying the same license fee I was in 2011                 How far theyve come

We have Pos Lavu in two of our high volume restaurants The functionality is extremely under developed and has left us seriously vulnerable to tax reporting agencies and employment agencies Everything from time clock services to autograt to check averages is flawed Nor is their reporting real time it is delayed which is inconvenient if you are off property While we know every member on the customer service team due to the countless hours we have spent with them trying to fix these problems they are hostage to Apples app protocol which prevents them from fixing bugs for months This is the best cloud pos on the market but if you are more than a mom and pop store reconsider     Amateur hour for a real restaurant

As someone who always used old school registers I am sold on LaVu Mike at Buckeye POS is a gem Johnmanager                 Buckeye POS

We started with this POS in November and it still isnt working properly Reports are a mess Slow processing Frequently dropping printers Cant trust tax reports How much are they paying Gordon Ramsey to hawk this POS     Still not right after 5 months

Please make the Send button do the same thing as the Save button and vice versa This trips things up constantly at my job If an item hasnt been sent to the kitchen you press Save please have it automatically do that           SendSave issue

POS Lavu is a the best choice we could have made for our full service restaurant bar Very happy with the 30 update                 Very happy

This entire system is utterly foulso very very glitchy It crashes constantly spontaneously quits printing orders have fun explaining to the guests that their orders are taking an extra 20 minutes because the kitchen didnt get the order its slow and doesnt have half the functionality of a traditional POS Not to mention the company is horrendously slow at keeping up with iOS updates Save you and your business scads of money and skip this crap     Terrible

This versions adds one or two useful features but I still get constant crashing errors and instability I dont recommend this product to high volume establishments Worst software ever Do not buy     Not for high volume sales

What is the use of a POS system when you cant swipe credit cards The backend needs some serious work It does not sync with quickbooks like other POS or has a useful schedulingpayroll module Taking orders and especially splitting tabs is VERY slow Most customers cant see the screen for tips resulting in much lower tips We have also found many errors in calculations of taxes and service charges     Not for high volume restaurants

Started out a bit rocky like all technology it takes some getting used to When I first bought Lavu back in February 2013 the customer service was terrible over 24 hours for call backs and responses Now customer service is significantly better I would even go as far as to say excellent based on my experience today I had considered switching many times over the months and am very glad I didnt In my Restaurant I use the KDS which is awesome One iPad one iPad mini and and an iPhone we also have launched LAVU online 1st ones to do that and love it I highly recommend skipping silver and going straight to Gold which we just upgraded to in the last month Especially if you track time and wages through the iPad The reports you need and the flexibility youll want is there and worth it Last do use Zephyr they are amazing When I wasnt able to get support from Lavu these guys saved me as a customer They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and have always answered the phone In summation If you are looking for a dynamic IPad based POS for your restaurant this is the one some quirks Yes But they are constantly updating The features you get are just not found anywhere else and its so easy I set up my menu with modifiers in a day went live to online ordering in 30 minutes set it up in my establishment in less than an hour Things are very easy to change even when I am on vacation Service has only continued to improve in my experience and the needed features continue to be added Be patient it will take some adjusting but I have never lost money or business maybe some hair but thats it Lighthouse Cafe Berthoud co                 Highly recommend

Why would anyone invest in an expensive kitchen ordering system For little cost you can set up the most efficient and coolest system around Most people are scared of Apple products because they live in their little PC world Lavu has great tech support and they have always solved any issues that come about They are improving their apps and system constantly If you own a restaurant you need POS Lavu                 Excellent POS for restaurants

What happened 2 all the bad reviews Before you buy the system ask about previous customers and talk to those restaurants Dont ask for 1 or 2 get a bunch like 15 This bad software could cause you a lot of stress so do your home work Good luck 2 you If you go ahead with this company     Terrible app

Were a food truck and were running square and decided to upgrade to Lavu Using a silver license and could not be happier Menu loading is a breeze and is fantastic for line busting Will use again and again as we open more trucks                 Working great

This is a great system New employees have no problem using it right away Very intuitive It makes other super expensive systems like micros and aloha dinosaurs I had a couple of issues at the beginning but all were easily resolved Technical support has been great too I love the backend real time reports and how easy it was to set up and change menu items My servers are also very happy with poslavu and they love taking orders on iphones I dont understand any of the bad reviews I believe the issues must be user error not the system itself POSLavu is releasing updates all the time and Im excited to see what else Ill be able to do in the future I believe this is a great company who is dedicated to improving an all ready great pos system I do recommend getting a Mac mini local server                 Very happy

I use this program at work and its extremely unstable and glitchy It constantly shuts down which is frustrating when youre busy and it doesnt always read CCs I am having to close and open the program several times an hour I dont recommend this POS system        Too glitchy

We have used Lavu for about 4 months I wanted to wait and write a review after being comfortable with it The product isnt Aloha which I have used We didnt pay an aloha price either We have a platinum license and made the mistake of installing all of it ourselves We later contacted icarepos and redid our network So after a while of using the system and upgrading to the new version now are fine We like being able to use any computer as a back office We did ditch the iPod touches just to small to work with and some customers thought servers were playing on their phones All in all once I got over it not being aloha Im ok with Lavu It meets our needs and works fine now that our network is fine It covers the basics for our bar payroll sales and day to day functions At first I wouldnt have recommend but that was my fault Hard to admit but I shouldnt have installed it myself Now I do recommend Lavu have a few neighbors using it in their places                 Better now

I started using Lavu in late February and have loved every minute Support is prompt in finding solutions to the issues I do come across I also use find the Forums and Help Center regularly which is so convenient This software is so awesome and offers so much The possibilities with Lavu really are endless                 Lovin Lavu

I have been managing a busy city restaurant with this POS for over a year and a half now My servers have an acronym for the system Lousy Asinine Virtually Useless Piece Of S and I agree I could talk about the constant flip flopping between Lavu and Lavu retro to compensate for terrible updates or the constant lost checks orders items menus but I wont I will focus on time Between opening Lavu waiting for the screen to load waiting for the tables to refresh waiting to load the tables order waiting for each item touched to appear not the checks navigating the useless menus after the order is sent waiting until the order sends and lastly checking to make sure the order made it to its destination The whole order process has now taken 3 minutes of your time This may not seem like much to non restaurant people but this process happens at least 4 times per table At a busy restaurant like mine servers have 15 or so tables a night So 3 min x 4 times per table x 15 tables 180 minutes spent at a computer every night RESTAURANTS STAY AWAY You get what you dont pay for Time is money and this system takes too much of it     Restaurants DO NOT USE

I manage a small group of coffee shops and honestly you dont need much from a point of sale to do so What really makes us happy with Lavu is the ability to check on the stores sales without having to call in and take a shift supervisor off the floor and into the BOH Their support is also stellar and some of the agents are pretty darn funny Cool to know that I can call them at all times even before we open at 430am and get someone to tell me nicely that I set up our router wrong                 Rosetta Squadron

I have had POS LAVU installed and operating for a solid month now Reports are easy to read actions easy to track Our servers LOVE the fact that they can ring an order in right at the table Its clever and fast We have 9 iPad minis on the floor and 3 iPad registers GET A DISTRIBUTER TO INSTALL YOUR EQUIPMENT DO NOT try and set it up by yourself unless you are a MAC GENIUS at Apple This will save you tons of time headaches money We seat 265 people and are loving LAVU D                 Works great if set up properly

FoConstant crashing Settings change on their own Customer service is a joke once when the server went down I didnt get a response for 6 DAYS Buggy as heck ect ect ect I honestly wish they would listen to customers make the interface changes needed for it to be what it has the potential to be     Poor execution

Pos lavu is everything I wantedneeded I researched iPad pos systems and decided with this one It can do things I didnt think possible My Restaurant seems very modern now and taking orders is fun I cant express how happy I am with this point of sale system The new version runs great Business as usual Great app                 Great point of sale

This point of sale is awesome My restaurant has a cool factor and seems really modern It functions flawlessly It tracks reports uses my credit card processor and prints to the back I am loving POS Lavu                 So so great
