I wish I knew that this app does not include inland waters I am on the Tenn River and needed charts for from Pickwick to Knoxville and Pickwick to Mobile Bay THIS SHOULD BE SPECIFIED IN THE DETAILS     Not complete coverage
So far this app does just about all I need as a recreational boater It downloads ENC and RNC charts shows your boat position speed course lets you slew the chart and select a point and gives range and bearing to the point It does not allow route planning from what I can tell The best part I like is IT IS FREE              Nice basic marine nav app Free
The application quits abruptly when pressing the active captain icon Otherwise the application works quite well considering its price           Active captain problem
Is this app only a chart viewer No gps feature        Gps feature
I have Polar Navy on my laptop and while clunky to use it is an option for routing This app was a total fail for me I downloaded all my local charts it says the download was successful but no charts ever appear The complete lack of help function or instructions is ridiculous and the support website is no better All this does is show a ship on a background that hardly resembles the topography of my area with no charts whatsoever Should have just spent more money for the Navionics app that I hear actually works     Can I get a refund
Except for the Great Lakes and central Florida fresh water locales are not available unless you buy the expensive Navionics charts Polar joins charts seamlessly where iSail does not Polar is far easier to setup and use than Sea Clear I would rate it five stars if it allowed me to buy individual inland lake charts for a few bucks each              Coverage
Great for free app                 Great for free app
This is a great little program for looking at navigation features Depths aids and some shore features are clearly shown There are several display options and a few mysterious additional menus items as well as what would appear to be data entry points Herein lies the failure of this great start at practibility The directions and utilitarian value of this app simply does not exist As it exists it is simply an interesting toy For instance there is an on screen icon that appears to be a boat It changes color when you touch it but thats it It does nothing and without any directions it is just frustrating Another worthless exasperation comes when you try to enter MPH or degrees M in the data area at the top of the screen In closing just an amusing little toy        Fan
Longtime Apple fanboy lots of applications on the Mac and lots of apps on my 4th iPhone and 2d iPad including most if not all of the other nav apps Ive read great things about PolarView for quite a while but just cant get the charts to load Looks like Ive downloaded them OK but can view things only in blob view Wheres the documentation Wheres the help Im lost I dont get it Fail So youknowwhatting frustrating     I dont get it
This app works great and all the charts are free I just wish that it had a few features such as active captain GPX importing and exporting for waypoints and navigation They could even do an in app upgrade for a few bucks to get the GPX feature              Great app just add a few things and it would be 5 stars
The raster charts arent loading and it wont let you make routes and it wont handle tide information Also there is no guide or instructions of any kind provided If these improvements were made this could be a great app     Raster charts dont work and other problems
This an excellent marine chart viewing app with ActiveCaptain integration My favorite feature is the ability to use NOAA raster or vector charts and downloaded updated them for free within the app The app shows when there is a chart update available Very easy to use Im using it on an iPad Air with cellular data for downloads and internal GPS with great accuracy and success While the app does not offer true nav routes there is a simple bearing distance from your current position feature that can can be helpful PolarView MX like PolarView NS on the Mac floats my boat                 Great Chart Viewer with integrated ActiveCaptain
Works just fine pulled all charts in a selected view was able to view and use                 Nice
This app works beautifully A very handy tool for those of us whos gps is long in the tooth                 Awesome app
This app feels buggy but I finally got it to actually show me a chart It would be nice if they didnt vomit the entire countrys chart data in one location At least break it down by state        What
This is not designed to function on an iPad so dont waste your time trying to figure it out     Not for iPad
I have somewhat used Polar Navy on a laptop with decent results However this apps has no help function or instructions for its use I tried downloading some charts thought I did it right looked like they downloaded yet nothing there Maybe Im missing something     No instructions on its use
