This app is great for anatomy students If anyone is starting an anatomy class for their first time this app has profound illustrations on muscles nerves circulatory system bones and joints Love the feature where Im able to add my own notes Visuals are great I would definitely recommend this app to any student starting anatomy or just to review                 Love it
Excellent features with accurate anatomical landmarks and meticulous review of various structures a musthave as a medical student                 The ideal anatomy app
The graphics are beautiful and the interface is very easy to navigate on a tablet The layer function is helpful in understanding the coordinates of inner layersorgans in relation to the external surface which is what we see on patients in most clinical settings This app is not meant to study detailed anatomy of individual organs but the content on musculoskeletal system is quite rich The videos are beautifully done but the focus is unclear it seems the narration uses technical terms that are not really meant for patients but the content itself lacks depth to be educational for higherlevel trainees It is probably best used as an adjunct material for introductory anatomy students              Amazing interface
3D penetration rotation One can easily the track of nerves blood vessels and lymph in and around muscles organs and bones Cant wait for the next generation                 A must for all anatomy students
Absolutely beautiful views of both the male and female anatomy You have the ability to enter your own notes at any area that you may have additional information that you need to record I use it to get a clearer picture of whats going on with my body                 Very detailed and informative
This is a great visual app to explore anatomy In my opinion it could use joint motion that shows which muscles are activating and their function              Great
Outstanding anatomy app One of the best Ive used Recently started residency and I used this app as a great tool to explain to patients anatomy and basic procedures The videos animations are clutch and cover every organ system The 3D effect has helped me to better visualize structures in relation to each other Its super intuitive and easy to use and has useful features like adding notes and bookmarking favorite structures I wish I had this app as a med student as a quick reference for each structures function and innervation before scrubbing in cases
Really good app Too bad you cant review only upper or lower limb thorax or any other section individually If you are looking for a fast review app than this is the one but if you need something to study look for something else           Good for review
Extremely effective through its visual and interactive capacities Its like having an anatomy video game in my pocket Helps me with my surgical procedures in clinic                 Best medical app on the market
Easily the best anatomy app that I have seen              Awesome App
My school decided to purchase this app for students have no idea why the did actually Im guessing its the price Absolutely inadequate in terms of basic anatomy alone not to mention features like quizzing or important clinical structures If it at least allowed you to add the names of anatomical features that were missing it might have been ok but even that is very difficult to do     Not for medical school
The Best                 CPMR
Nice animation and very clear 3D images              Great app
Also not rotatable any directions        Not a realtime 3d rendering model
This app is amazing User friendly great graphics and anatomical precision Words cant replace what a 3D image of the body can do for educating patients It also has great quizzes if you need to freshen up on your knowledge Well worth the                 Pocket anatomy
Ive been a nurse practitioner for 40 years and would have loved having this digital tool available early in my career not only as a learning tool for myself but also as a teaching tool for patients in the clinical setting The added benefit of the animated video clips and the ability to send the message home with the patient only add to the utility of the app Kudos on a great job making Pocket Anatomy even better                 Great patient education tool
The app is really easy to use The design is fantastic and it has some really cool animations It allows you to go through the anatomy and view it from a totally different plane as you would on a regular anatomy textbook Totally recommended                 Great Design and Animations
I teach anatomy for Yoga teachers and this App is a great resource for quick reference It is also wonderful for showing clients anatomy pertaining to their condition                 Great App
Three years ago I embarked on my first anatomy and physiology class When looking at the vast array of resources to use Pocket Anatomy was definitely the best and its designers continued to make essential improvements to the already amazing app The current Pocket Anatomy offers so much more then I was accustomed to three years ago and I am excited to see what the designers offer next I truly appreciate the additions of specific organ systems that Pocket Anatomy has presented while keeping true to academia by virtue of an intellectually rigorous presentation essential to AP classes Meaning for every label there is an equally impressive explanation of the said label Pocket Anatomy goes beyond just supplying vocabulary names You are also able to customize labels for your own personal learning experience while using the impeccable visual representation of anatomical structures showcased in Pocket Anatomy I really stand by Pocket Anatomy it helped my in my schooling and it will always remain my goto atlas for my anatomy learning and refreshing needs                 For the serious student or anyone wanting to gain knowledge of anatomy
Very useful Would give 5 stars without the groin blackout              Great App
Not a student just a patient who likes to be educated on my body Recently had a collar bone pinned and wanted to learn more about the anatomy in that area This app has helped for that and poking through the different layers is nice One key feature that it doesnt seem to have is varying the view angle between looking straight on and straight down cranial view So to look down at the collar bone the skull is partly in the way Other than that this appears to be very informative           Missing one key feature
Just found it and loved it But for me The clothes really make me give it three stars I need to be able to get under the clothes to really have use for it Demonstrating where to put incisions and injections Today I wanted to show a student how the Labia majora was formed But I got clothes instead For us that really have use for this app We wont be offended by a nude cartoon           Love The app
I am a yoga teacher and use this weekly to show students relevant pieces of anatomy I also use it for my own study and find it so much more illuminating than the majority of A and P books This is more than worth the cost                 Highly functional and beautiful
This is a great quick reference for both medical students and patients The info associated with each pin is concise and very user friendly The video animations are great for a quick review or introduction to new topics Overall super easy to use and great for learning                 Thorough and easy to use
Brilliant graphics and userinteractability There are a few shortcomings Some structures block the visibility of others For example you cannot see how the stomach connects to the small intestine Also the ovary isnt labeled And the left ovary is not at all visible Would be nice if you could remove top layer organs to view the organs beneath Or perhaps offer a digestive system view without the skeleton interfering Also has a couple bugs For example when I tried to close the drawing option the entire program shut down Or when trying to change the sex in the different views menu nothing happens              Amazing but not perfect
Overall impression Amazing Interface Comprehensive for Muscles Good Organization 45 out of 5 Stars What I Liked 1 The layering is a great feature of this app You can add or remove layers of muscle QUICKLY One layer for skin six layers for muscles one for joints and ligaments and one for skeletal I particularly thought it was creative to have a translucenttransparent skin layer because as physicians and medical students we look at the skin but need to know whats underneath it 2 The rotational ability is key I like being able to view the body from anterior lateral right and left and posterior And to remove layers from each view 3 Organization All the anatomy apps have the blue dots with information BUt with Pocket Anatomy you can click on a muscle and it will give you origin insertion key relations functions actions nerve and blood supply and clinical perspectives plus a notes section so that you can write in additional notes Awesome design and lay out Even better in the updated version you can add pins to really customize it 4 The search function It not only searches the beginning of the first word but also if the word you are typing is in any other words For example I typed in trap Obviously trapezoid came up but what positively surprised me was that Coracoclaviculartrapezoid ligament also came up Furthermore it refines the search as you type in more letters A on search function which is key for anatomy students 5 User Interface This is really what separates this app from the rest Easy and high resolution zooming and movement A convenient body map in the tool bar to quickly go where you want Navigating the body couldnt be easier Of all the anatomy apps Ive seen this is definitely one of the best What I didnt like 1 With regard to the skin layer the pins to click on and get information are not accessible This is an easy change just make the same pins in the first layer accessible in the skin layer 2 There are some red dots that dont have any info associated with them Hopefully this will change Also there are some places that pins need to be and are missing for example the linea alba inbetween the rectus abdominis doesnt have a pin Considering this is where surgeons sometimes cut in the abdomen during surgery due to lack of underlying innervation I think this is important What is irritating is that in the key relations for rectus abdominis it mentions the linea alba but doesnt have a pin for it IMHO you shouldnt mention something that is a key relation unless you are going to pin it otherwise the students will be confused However with the new version you can just add a pin and the problem is solved 4 In the lateral view the arms cover many of the ABAD ductors of the hip Must be changed if you want this to be a 100 comprehensive app Most other anatomy apps have this problem as well What Id like to see in future editions 1 Videos of the muscle motions with the body For example when a symbol shows extension you should be able to click on it and it should show you the extension 2 In the descriptions of the muscles you should be able to click on any word and that muscle will quickly pop up As anatomy students we hear so many relations to different muscles it would be very convenient and nice if when some other muscle is mentioned in the description their was a quick hyperlink to access itAs opposed to having to type it in the search bar 3 Full 360 degree rotational ability and the choice to remove arms 4 Improved Organization Students study anatomy in sections not all at once In the main menu you should be able to study just once section at a time You have something similar to this in your quiz feature but this needs to be applied to your study section I would suggest to use predetermined symbols for general movements flexion extension abduction adduction etc to make it look better and also include antagonistic muscles Summary Pocket Anatomy is probably the most comprehensive AND userfriendly musculoskeletal app out there A lot of thought was put into making the interface as easy and organized as possible for medical students and other health professionals learning anatomy There is very little lag time between views which I love and is something that is frustrating from other apps With the exception of some finetuning I think Pocket Anatomy has done a superb job and it sets the standard for other fullbody anatomy apps out there                 Detailed Review UC Irvine Medical Student
I have watched Pocket Anatomy go from strength to strength over the last 5 years and here we are with their latest version of their awesome anatomy app It amazes me how much they have managed to include with each update and now with the inclusion of a series of excellent animations this app really offers a one stop resource for the medical student and doctor Even for the casual person just wanting to get a visual idea of the working of the human body this app is visually stunning and informative my kids love it ages 12 and 14 and possibly in some small way this app has influenced one of them to want to be a surgeon I would love to hear a voiceover descriptive narration on the videos but other then that this is a near perfect app for its audience A cut above many of the other medical apps trying to match this                 From a seasoned multimedia specialist
Very much worth the money                 Excellent
One of my most useful apps Incredibly well done                 Excellent
This is a wonderful app Its really helpful and its a great study tool                 Pocket anatomy review
Great app to see whats connected to what Wish it also had nontechnical descriptions too              Amazing Views
Overall this is the best science app I seen but I wish that I could see separate body systems              Great but one problem
Great for students not quite enough detail for surgeons              great general overview lacks finer detail which is necessary for surgical planning
Such a cool app for the layperson                 Awesome
First and foremost the graphics are insane I cannot speak for the accuracy as I will leave that to the people who truly know anatomy but this application is perfect for me as I am an attorney who represents injured people and would love to get a better idea about anatomy generally I would like a few more pins and also some more details about certain areas of the body specifically the spine I think this is a great application overall                 Great App
Excellent app I have paid a lot more for anatomy apps and this one is by far the best My favorite parts are the test The only thing missing Is the skin inner actions and dermatomes Some suggestions Some more multiple choice questions Let us choice how many we want and show maybe add some extra info to the right and wrong answers explaining the why this is true If you do that you could def charge a little more                 Great app
This app other than being easy to use and understand lets you know whats inside and where it is no thats to high for your kidney Theres also more technical if you want it Worth every dime Youll find the pain in no time                 What you dont know
Really great app A colleague recommended this app and I was apprehensive because Ive been underwhelmed by anatomy apps before but for 5 I figured I didnt have much to lose This app is very user friendly and the anatomy descriptions are thorough but succinct The videos are a nice bonus too I cant recommend this enough to anyone with any interest in anatomy                 Great app
Great app perfect for anyone who has to constantly explain simple anatomy                 Perfect
very useful                 great
Easy to use and highly informative                 Great app
This app is very helpful with wonderful illustrations I recommend it to anyone needing a refresher                 Great App
Very good app I learned a lot Thanks                 Student
I would say that this very useful for most visual details but would be very nice to have some sort of visual movement in a form of video or some sort of external link showing parts of the body working and or what they actually do with some sort of movement              Pretty good
I am a current medical student The app does a decent job portraying the human body However it is not possible to isolate systems and therefore the app is not very useful for studying You can choose which systems pins are showing but that doesnt help because the parts I would like to study are still covered by the parts that I tried to hide Please give us the ability to add systems one by one        Missing key features
compared to other apps this app is missing many features such as sound pronunciations     no pronunciation
I am a massage therapist and I use this application to treat my client and to inform about there condition My client love this                 Awesome
Great detail and graphics a good learning tool              Awesome
Very good It could be better if i could rotate it vertically too even if very limited rotation was possible and plz add the possibility to select a part by touching any part of it Thanks              Suggestions
Worth the money Easy to use Great layout                 Thorough easy to navigate app
