I used the PC version and Windows phone version of Phatnotes for years I was never able to get PC to sync to my iPhone even after contacting Phatware and following their recommendations Even worse my notes disappeared from my databases about a week ago Support has no idea what happened I dont know why anyone would use this product when there is Evernote     Not very good

I have used this program for years on desktop and other PDAs and Phones This is an excellent implementation on the iPhone I have ony purchased one other app for iPhone so why this one I can use it for a lot of different things I used it for lists to dos information favorite shortcuts stickies While there are free programs that do these individually this is well integrated works syncs with desktop it just works and is intuitive so yu dont have to learn it You just use it As with anything use the destop backup Have not had to do a recovery BUT you only may need it once Th eonly thing that I HATE is that I cant sync over a cable with the desktop You need to use WiFi This is an annoyance I believe this is a limitation with the iPhone in general Being able to use the data with the desktop is great as if you have a lot of data entry a desktop is so much easier Bottom line is it works and Ive gotton rid of a gaggle of free programs and complements what comes with the iPhone                 Although it is not free PhatNotes is well WORTH the cost

I used phatnotes on a win mobile device and found it good on the iPhone it is better in terms of recognition though some features without the rightleft mouse option are not as self evident This is probably not unique to this program on the mactype system But absence of full compatability with the iPad is very poor aspect of the program Moreover syncing for those of us with both iPhone and iPad should produce updated files on both devices If the same file has been changed separately on both devices give user options others have probably already solved this problem           Very good but critical omission

I was an early beta tester of phatnotes for iPhone and I love it I havent tested the latest version yet but all of the beta versions were great              Great product

used PhatNotes for years PhatWare usally has 2 parts desktop and portable device there is no osx desktop yet st you need fusion and windows to run the 55 desktop the 2 parts sync ok but you need fusion in the network bridged mode this app dosnt use apple spell ck nor the apple cursor re position thingy a pitty since they work well and their adaptation is just difficult error prone 4example the keyboard space key vanished while creating a new note you have to do text searches on the whole data base it has char recognition works well just who needs it things have changed since the 90s PDA stuff           functional

I have problems with the iPhone sync all the time It never seems to locate my iPhone ALWAYS it requests I refresh the available devices it rarely every finds it so very frustrating     Poor sync capabilities

I use it since I had an WM phone Developers please provide standard iPhone editing and more options for formatting text size still too big           Good app but need some improvements

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this app after reading many of the review others have left However my curiosity got the better of me as I used this app for many years with Windows smartphones I always liked it but now I love it The only reason I give it 45 and not 5 stars is I believe there is always room for improvement somewhere In this case I believe its in the handwriting recognition aspect of this app Dont get me wrong its very good However to get 5 out of 5 stars the app should recognize 99 of handwriting This app currently does about 95 in my humble estimation Something to be considered is compared to most others my handwriting is quite clean and legible Others whose handwriting may not be similar will probably have less accurate translation results At any rate there are MANY innovative features included such as the Shorthand capability which make practical use of this app quite possible I can definitely see myself using this app for daily notetaking needs All in all I believe this is an interesting entertaining and ultimately useful app one ought not be wary of purchasing Update after playing with this app for several hours I have been able to tweak the settings and also after taking a short amount of time to go through the tutorial now my recognition percentage has increased to around 98 99 Also the speed at which I am able to use the app has increased quite a bit I believe I can confidently state this app seems to be headed for my static app bar at the bottom of my iPhone                 45 stars actually

I am a previous Windows Mobile user and have been waiting in earnest for Phatnotes I love the integration with the desktop application and hope they add sync preferences for IPhone or desktop I easily transferred 63 notes from my desktop to the IPhone Very intuitive interface                 Finally Phatnotes for IPhone

I will not upgrade to 42 until there is a solid reason So now I cannot use this update Please fix           I love this app sad it requires 42

You can only synch with wifi which does not work There is no other way of synching Inportingexporting is per note database and is not an alt to synching     Do not buy if you want to synch with your pc

Would like to see recurring reminder and repeating alert capabilities Can you add list formatting font formatting and strikeout capabilities too Word wrap doesnt work right when pasting data              Nice App

The windows version was great This is clumsy and not even as good as the notepad that comes with the iPhone My goodness I want my five dollars back     No no no

Phatnotes DOES NOT work with new iOS 40 It is not possible to edit notes enter passwords on protected notes etc The App IS USELESS NOW This is not a Free App in fact this is an expensive App YOU must FIXUPDATE ASAP After upgrading to v13 and synchronzing with my PC Pathnotes I found my main Databases icons were lost replaced by default yellow folders I had to recreate my database icons twice PLEASE fix it Also as requested before and by several users PLEASE provide standard iPhone editing cut paste etc capabilities and support text formating bold italic etc same as in PC version Only then this app will get 5 stars     NEEDS UPDATE FOR iOS 40

I see great potential in PhatNotes Im enjoying it Im also wondering if its possible in the future to password protect entire folders rather than just individual files and as many iPhone owners use Macintosh whether there will ever be a desktop program for us as well Thanks for a fine job                 Very nice to use

Is there anyone still working on this app I used to like phatnotes on my windows phone I have reviewed before pointing out some things that NEED to be fixed Nothing I have invested a lot in phatnotes and am TRYING to stay with you Yours not making it easy PLEASE fix how text entry works Stop trying to do it yourself and just use the apple keyboard and the autocomplete that already exists While not perfect its lots better than your implementation On a device with no keyboard a bad keyboard implementation kills the benefit of the actually pretty good notes organization features that do exist        To the developers Anyone still out there

I somehow was able to install on one of my IPADS although this is an IPHONE APPIt works perfectlySyncs with my pc perfectlyI strongly believe this App should therefore be offered for the IPAD nownot just the IPHONE                 Ipad compatibility

I also have issues with the newest version It keep sending my icon back to the yellow folder icons Please fix this                 vs 13 issues

Used the software for years on a windows mobile device On the iphone with this new version it crashes all the time Notes get hidden when the keyboard pops up and you have no way to hide the keyboard Older notes are not supported so there is no fix other than retype You do not have an option to cancel something you wrote if you changed your mind There is little customer support Update OS4 protected notes are rendered useless if you contact support and if they respond they say that no one else has reported the issue I now see that others also have problems BEWARE if the continually switch os you may end up having to retype the notes over one last item that is not mentioned is that each database can not exceed 1000 notes This pgm would have gotten 10 stars when it was windows based     Lots to be desired

Hate it till fix it My note was painstakingly crafted with this app then just mysteriously vanished and went back to a previous stage of the note Painful The app must secure all changes made to the note as if its the most priority task otherwise its a piece of junk Also why its too big a deal to transfer a note to a computer Not reasonable for several times additional charge just for doing the job and limited to only Window machine Disappointed     Beware of loosing your note

I have used this app on Windows Mobile for years and Ive loved it I was so excited to get a new iPhone with PhatNotes But what a disappointment to realize that several essential features were missing namely rich text formatting and bullet list capabilities Without these this program is useless to me I could care less about handwriting recognition I just want something I can sync with Windows and have my formatting retained My first sync with my collection of 1400 notes removed not only bold italics and bullet lists but also all the apostrophes from every note Since I cant return this purchase please PhatWare pimp this app back to where it is useable for us serious note makers           Big disappointment after Windows Mobile versions

I have used PhatNotes on my PC and My iPaq and Dash3g and now on my iPodTouch I delighted with it It was a snap to get it syncing with the desktop with wifi I found a few items doubled at first but that ended after the first couple of syncs                 PhatNotes for iOS

I really love this program but since I updated to 12 last week the program locks up on me all the time and when I try to delete something within a note it crashes and closes the program Please fix this              V12 Crashes

Very disappointed in App I purchased PhatNotes for my iPad after buying the windows version and window mobile version thinking I would have a system to sync all my notes When I tried Phatnotes on my iPad I could not get the data sync to work After contacting PhatNotes support the response is PhatNotes is not designed for iPad only iPhone Why dont they say that in the app review It clearly list iPad in the requirements says it is compatible     Very Disappointed

Followup Still no help from their tech support other than refer to the manual which offers little to no help Whats happened to these people they used to have a great program when I was using Windows CE First the good it is a good notes program BAD Your NOT told in the Itunes store ad that if you want to synch with a PC running the desktop version that you have to use WIFI This is extremely misleading But thats not the really bad part What really stinks is that if you go out and purchase a WAP to use with the program they offer absolutely NO support Having tried in vain to get their tech support group to at least provide minimial assistance I have been informed on more than one occassion to get a networking tech involved QUESTION how did apple approve this If i can synch my iphone using the cable to my pc why cant Phatnotes        Phatnotes Good and Bad
