It lights up and runs but it wont listen to or transmit midi Hmmm Not even within the iPad I have the cheaper Yamaha iPadmidi adapter not the expensive Alesis one thats used in the demo video so maybe it only works w that NEEDS AN UPDATE     Doesnt work

Ive just been using this sending midi clock to a Korg volca beats and sending sequences to Animoog on an iPad mini Pretty fun I was just realizing there isnt a swing option Id love to have that It would also be great to have maybe a keyboard note entry while playing your sequence              Nice sequencer

A midi step sequencer that doesnt respond to midi clock or send clock is worthless Ive tried to contact the developer twice and I havent heard a single word Ive reloaded the app and nothing Little midi is way more reliable     Midi inout does not work

The developer seems to have decided that this is good enough for a 5 app and doesnt respond to emails I see the logic but there are better iPad sequencers and more responsive developers out there All in all I like the interface I do wish that it would play notes when you enter them but other than that its elegant not just for notes but for other parameters eg filter or mod wheel value My biggest complaint is that the sequencer often stops running when you switch to another app You can stop and restart it manually but thats no fun when youre recording           Useful for 5 but seems to be abandoned

Wellthoughtout UI in this app You can move around FAST Also if you pickup the midi bridge app you can control almost noisemaking app with Phaedra                 Very Cool

I love the app its a great emulation of an analog sequencer It connects with via midi with no hassle However The midi clocktempo is not programmed properly and does not hold tempo For example if your at 80bpm the tempo will actually wobble and slowly increase in speed If you are looking to create a pattern that will sync with a piece of music you are working on this will not work for you at the moment Ive contacted support and they informed me that this is a known issue and is something that they are working on But sadly at the moment this is sitting unused on my iPad        does NOT hold tempo

So far I have tried out a DX100 and an FB01 The DX seems to be responding but not the FB01 Any insight Ive been doing MIDI since the 80s so whatever the problem is it isnt obvious Gate time Can that be tweaked           Wont trigger my Yamaha FB01

I love this sequencer I enjoy using with NLog Pro and its quite excellent sending sequences to the Amimoog app Thanks for making a fab app to help me make music                 Superb

Great retro hardware concept awesome interface mediocre execution Main issue for me is 1 timing drift and 2 does not respond to incoming MIDI clock from iPad internal bus or external MIDI sync input I have basically the same things to say about this app as the other reviewers and wish the developer would address the issues raised by users Last update over two years ago thats a problem since there are many significant communication issues Cmon Chris this isnt a 99 cent app dial this puppy in           Almost Great

I guess the title says it all Syncing with other apps is badly broken and on my iPad 3 it becomes unresponsive when doing relative simple stuff The features are awesome but its just plain unusable I want my money back     Promising but buggy and unsupported

Below is my original review It turns out that a Bluetooth keyboard interfered with the program With it off Phaedra works flawlessly and is a great app Five stars Maybe its just my iPad but I get severe audio looping when Im using this app The entire app slows down and is nonfunctional when I am using animoog at the same time Strangely when I go to the animoog screen the mic shuts off again and Phaedra works just fine I dont know why the mic turns on in the first place There doesnt seem to be a place to troubleshoot to fix this problem Will rate higher if this bug is fixed or if its something Im doing wrong                 Excellent app for sequencing

This reminds me of the old analog sequencers Very nice layout and easy to use I drive my bass in logic pro with this Great work by the developers If you are into sequencers like me this is a must buy Remember it does not produce any sound on its own                 Nice

wow Ive had Little Midi Machine also very good and Step Poly Arp but this one appeals to the Analog Modular synth user in me its a very well crafted sequencer clean appearance like the gear it was designed to emulate and everything works like it should right now its sending sequences to both my Prophet 08 and my modular synthesizer the CCs are sending to the cutoff filter on each of them and it sounds awesome set it up in about 3 minutes 5 out of 5 stars for sure would love have a way to transpose and some more clock dividers like triplets would be lots of fun                 Phaedra is AWESOME
