PenFed Mobile App- Mobile 1.1

by Phrozen1906 Like many, I`ve waited years for an app from PenFed. So, PenFed obviously took the path of least resistance and selected someone`s young child who would provide an app for free. PenFed, please see the USAA app for guidance.

Pros:
The app does work and provides the essentials for account balances and a few transactions.You can also transfer fund to other accounts, eg USAA. I also like seeing the current loan rates for different products.

Cons:
You will hear a very annoying jingle every time you start the app. This is enough to make you not want to use the app. The graphics are unbelievable 1st grade. Finally, functionality is very limited compared to other banking mobile apps.

PenFed, please release the next version soon. There are many great examples to copy. Thanks for not releasing an initial app that crashes frequently.

by vmv890 As others, I have been waiting a while for this app. It`s a decent start but far from what it should be:

- number one missing feature: remote check deposit via iPhone

- look and feel: not nearly as slick as usaa app, non retina optimized icons, the layout not ideal. Should check out competition and get a gfx artist.

Overall, a decent app, somewhat functional and doesn`t crash. Penned, don`t stop, please add remote deposit, better ui, ATM search filtering (branch, deposit taking, etc), contact info/ address phone, mobile alerts that can be set from the app, etc.

by Kaoba Awesome. May not be like USAA but, I can access my accounts and even transfer funds between PENFED and USAA. Brilliant!!
