This app used to be fantastic a truly useful alternative to iBooks Unfortunately it is now abandoned last update 2013 and all of the items I stored in Bookman have become corrupted and won t read past the first few pages Thanks a lot aholes     Abandoned App Q4242
I have used this for years and wish they would update it Never have an issue with it very easy to configure Use it for all my comic reading                     This is the best comic app there is smonczka
The app crashes everytime I use the highlight tool for some reason             Crashes Cj122fbcmcgfjvfj
I have tried many readers none handle the sheer volume of titles in my library better than Bookman love this app                     I think its the best imdamagnificent
A great reader Takes forever to regenerate the thumbnails every time though It should be smart enough to gen them once and save them                 Great but could do a better job of thumbnail cache Zinc7
Have used this app for a couple years and multiple ios upgrades Latest version only changed some visuals to match ios7 Reads comics and PDFs with no problems Have used with Dropbox but mostly use with FTP server Can also load with iTunes but FTP allows me to load folders of files all at once Never had problems                     Great reader Chris Eff
My iPad is on an older version of the software and this was one of the few CBR readers that worked with it Works great I can download files through either my dropbox or thru my webserver There is also an FTP option that I haven t used but is another nice alternative                     Great reader that works on older versions forkyfork
I tried every way they show you download my books from my computer no luck I even tried to email their support no luck I guess I am out 3 don t be like me Skip right past this app     Very frustrating bcmudsharks
Super fast rendering Fast paging especially with transitions turned off                     Fast Croaker8
shame a very bad customer service to this day i have no answer of my questions the questions I asked 2 weeks ago i have problems with password proteced pdf it is not possible to open this files I have advertising although I bought the pro version Sometimes i have program crash     very bad customer service 33Chinese
Installed on a iPad Mini read a few issues then it would just crash shortly after opening That s all it does now     Worked for a few days now just crashes Jittery Jim
Having tried every comic book reader on the App Store this is by far the best Doesn t crash when loading 100 comics like other apps user friendly interface and easy to catalog your books 5 5                     Best cbr cbz reader Brandon Varnell
The book shelf and operation of the app is the best looking and functioning i ve used Nice clean layout whithout the feature confusion Importing PDF s from other apps is simple as pie Book covers show nice on the shelf Much easier to browse your library Very happy with this app Just what I wanted                     Fast PDF Reader and well thought out SevenStarGod
I m sorry but this program is basically useless if you have more than 10 or so PDFs The facilities for organizing files are pathetic the navigation is incomprehensible and the bulk upload capabilities non existent My demands for this app were not that high I use GoodReader for most of my PDFs but I wanted a separate silo ins which to hold non professional PDFs so that I could easily toggle between two apps and thus toggle between work and fun PDFs Even for this limited purpose BookReader is a severe disappointment ANY sort of organization beyond a single folder leads you into a rats nest of random popups and buttons like a parody of an X Windows app I bought the pro version on the hope that the DropBox integration would at least allow me to upload an entire folder of material in one operation but no you re still essentially restricted to moving one file at a time If you have serious PDF needs stick with GoodReader and don t waste your money GoodReader costs a little more but delivers VASTLY more in terms of organization capabilities upload sync capabilities and a UI that while not perfect makes far more sense than the random mess that is this app s UI     Useless if you have a large library Maynard Handley
I got this app cause cloudReader which is a great app too and for free couldn t open certain pdf s and cbr s Bookman on the other hand opens then with great resolution the retina display makes a huge difference it has some great options to organize then different boards for different files and overall its usage is superb its certainly worth the money                     excellent application tr-s.v
Even before this last update I would have given 5 stars I just wish that there was a 6th star to give for this last update The rendering is amazing for the new iPad I love the library file management system Thanks for all the great work and I highly recommend                     Great app Great update R0land
This would be the perfect reading app if 3 things were added 1 Able to create folders or stacks on the book shelf 2 If u could put a label under each book on the shelf 3 If there was a way of sorting the books manually or automatic at the moment it just sorts it by name with my magazines i would like to place the latest mag first on the shelf instead at the moment its placing it last             Potential to be perfect Purple Rain 15
I uploaded a lot of comic books in PDF format a total of 100 books all in high definition But the problem is each time I open a new page it takes several seconds to optimize from obscure to clear It troubles me a lot I hope u developers will work on it in the next update and get it fixed When you fix it I will change it to 5 stars I didn t pay 3 dollars to get this uncomfortable feeling while reading         Does support high Definition but yale8999
Great app for reading comics Retina support for new ipad is fantastic                     Excellent retina support Southpolenz
After doing some housecleaning on my iPad I decided to upgrade from the Free version to the Paid version Lo and behold I try to load files back onto my device via Bookman and everything goes well until Apply Sync Nothing is loaded I restart iTunes and now files can t even be loaded via Bookman I loved the free version and thought I d throw the developer some money But wait The Free Version has now disappeared Shady money dupe I ll wait and see if Comic Rack ever makes its presence on iOS Until then I ll use CloudReader     Upgrade to Paid Version DOES NOT WORK Eliar3
Comic book files sometimes are space hogs A few comics have filled up my iPad s memory I d like to have the option of accessing these files from iCloud storage                 Needs iCloud storage option harrymfa
Very responsive app for both archived rar cbr cbz zip and PDF files The slide and flip turn page effects are a bit awkward but I enjoy he fade page turn effect Bookshelf layout is nice in grid view but you can only edit your books or view book information in list view Similar to iBooks but without being able to individually delete books Password function is a huge plus I can have my daughters Archie comics available to her while my Image comics are password protected This app is well worth the money                 Great functionality Dion's iPad
i bought almost anything on AppStore to view comics but after a while I came back to Bookman really there is nothing better out there if i could get my money back i would pay it for Bookman ComicViewer Comic Zeal and others cost my about 20 if they fix some issues faster thumbs generating or saving them in cache so it didn t have to do this every time i close this app it s small but annoying better folder managment or insead access to dropbox or box net like in Good Reader so i could define my account and easy download cbr cbz pdf files to bookman default folder maybe not fix issue but i would like to see progress bar below covers in gallery mode                     Best comic Book reader on iPad Szegi87
What happened to the smashwords link             Smashwords Smscarbor
Brilliant app that does all I want it to and works well The only reason I rated it this low is that i recently bought the app for my iPhone and since then I bought an iPad2 A big fail for me is that I had to pay an additional 2 99 for the iPad version Many apps have cross platform support where one purchase can be used on multiple devices Why not this one             Multi Platform Fail Scott Naude
I like this app a lot It s been the best choice for my comic reading But it has a few issues that bother me The zoom in always seem to lose resolution and get a little pixelated even in good scans I ve tested this against other apps and it seems it just renders the zoomed in image poorly yes I set image rendering quality to High but it didn t solve it In some comics if you zoom in to read the top of the page when you scroll down the lower half of the page is simply not rendered Also it would be nice if it allowed to add a comic to more than on shelf folder I d like to be able to add comics to collections but still have a main shelf with all of them visible like Comic Zeal does Another tip is to reduce the size of tap areas on the sides for changing pages the area is too big and makes zooming more difficult and innacurate Aside these issues great app nice browsing             Great app zoom quality issues Fsecco
I ve used several apps for PDF CBZ viewing Bookman is the fastest and most responsive The touch controls are intuitive and the developers have created an app superior to iBooks I look forward to a future release that includes folders A must have                     Excellent NicholasRivera
Use this app all the time Looks good works good IS good If it supported epub I would throw iBooks away It would be nice if you could have folders on the main Library page instead of having to select them individually Maybe in the next version hint hint But all in all a very well done app                 Love this app except Theo7157
I cannot believe the AWESOME customer support for this app I emailed them about a zooming issue with iOS5 on Sunday They wrote back the following day saying they would take care of it and by Tuesday the following day they had released a new update with the issue fixed 10 stars to these guys                     Awesome app and support JayKCity
Really solid At this point I ve tried several other apps free and paid when you search comics and although not ber flashy if you re catching up on a slew of back issues this app is perfect Grouping foldering renaming Dropbox integration and iTunes USB transfers Just a solid efficient and useful app all around and comparitively the BEST for bulk comics readers would LOVE to have folders show graphically in the library view though Would make navigation seamless                 Fantastic for back issue comics KyleBlowers
I put my textbooks PDF scan copies on my iPad so they are available and easy to search Unfortunately I had a problem finding an app that would quickly render my textbooks because the files are so large Bookman works perfectly As soon as the pro version came out I bought it to support the programmer I am so glad I did because the program just keeps getting better                     Worth every penny Tierbot
After updating my iPad 2 to ios5 when I try to zoom in with two fingers the page just decides to fly to the upper Left of the screen Very frustrating     Ios5 JJungPhoto
I ve looked many comic book readers for iPad and this app is really the best Dropbox support is awesome cause I can add issues to dropbox folder and then read issue after issues through dropbox download                     Best comic book reader ever Ray Atomsk
This great app just keeps getting better Fast reliable and all the features could want If you ve been trying to figure out which PDF reader to use quit looking in vain this is the one                     Best PDF Reader for iPad Jer.K.
I use this app to read all the files the regular ebooks won t The only thing I don t like is that I can t figure out a way to move around the books on the bookshelf like the iBooks app Everything else is perfect A lot of customizable stuff to let you read converted magazines and books Hope the move around on a bookshelf issue gets solved in an update                 Really Good App PDubbleYou!
I use this app as a comic reader and I love it It loads files fast and has been stable on my iPad Constantly updated and improved upon by the author this app is worth every penny                 Great app sirmcp
This app is really ideal for reading comics and manga I use it every day for this purpose The ability to open sets of images that are bundled in a zip file is incredibly useful The only issue I have with it is that the somewhat silly bookshelf view seems to to take a long time to generate and can sometimes cause the app to fail to load if there are too many books on it at once I would love to have an option for it to default to list view since the bookshelf view seems bulky and unnecessary even if it did work all the time I m looking forward to future improvements but so far this is one of my all time favorite apps                 Great comic and manga reader yatpay
Since the update it scrambles my CBR books by which I mean the page order is mixed up When I first acquired this app CBRs worked as well as any other book file If they can fix this I ll give it more stars         CBR mix ups HelotNet
This is one of the few readers that open the files directly without converting into an sqlite db This mean get the file on and go no conversion app needed and it shouldn t increase backup times A lot of users are miffed over the change to a pro lite version The original free was great replaced by an update to ads Sucky but the Pro version is inexpensive and I d Ike for the developer to make some and continue to improve this Biggest thing I d like changed is the bookshelf nav ok for a few titles but I d rather have a link to a series bookshelf in a bookshelf like Zeal Mini or ComicRack pc Also like info on how to best name for sorting File 20 and file 2 seems to group up but otherwise one of the best comic readers             One of the better comic readers ViperLord
It was good as free but then they put adds in there so I decided to spend the 1 for the full version It worked even worse Constant error messages crashes freezes and memory errors The original free version worked better than the paid version or this new lite version DON T DOWNLOAD IT Daniel C Pryor     horrible Perigorn
I use this app mainly as a comic archive format and PDF reader I paid the upgrade fee and there are some nice additions Among these is the new link to the next file in a series when you come to the end I really would like the see the move option and overall bookshelf interface cleaned up In the previous free edition when you chose to move a collection of files you could create the new folder in the move process Now one must create the destination folder before a move is initiated This would be fine if the bookshelf interface could be seen in a much easier interface if only to facilitate the move option The main library bookshelf should also show the individual files but also all the user created sub bookshelves without having to go back and only use the drop down menu to see bookshelves individually Again I love this reader but why oh why can t an entire folder simply be uploaded via the iTunes interface Speaking as someone illiterate in the mechanics of how this all works being able to upload whole folders would eliminate the repetitive and time consuming task of uploading and re organizing your new library items using the clumsy interface described above Now all this being said I still think this is the best reader for comics and pdfs out there Addressing the upload interface would justify the switch to a paid app and nullify the complaints listed in the iTunes reviews                 Good but on the brink of being great The Mighty Beausephus
This is a pretty good app PDFs open fast they optimize relatively quickly when your ipad is idle has a lot of functionality and is easy to use A couple things i d like to see are 1 Fix the table of contents instability I prefer having a table of contents the way it has been integrated into the app except i can t use it because of the instability 2 A feature to sync bookman libraries with the books library in itunes would be really helpful and i think this would greatly improve the value of the app I know 1 is supposed to be part of the 3 0 5 update but i think 2 is essential for files that are downloaded directly to the ipad so we can sync automatically with itunes Unless it s about previous versions of the app i completely don t understand what others are complaining about Thanks                 Better than most others I have tried Mraza83
This is a good app It needs support for ePub files to be a great app Add that and I will upgrade to 5 stars                 Good app please include support for ePub files Wright2003
I enjoyed the free Bookman but this paid version is rather problematic First it was a pain to FTP files from the free version to the paid version Worst than that the app locks up a lot whether youre viewing a file or just switching between libraries And then theres the crash every view minutes when view PDFsI was able to view a CBR file completely though Never had this much problem with the free version The Lite version is annoying with its ads Ill check back when its stable in the mean time I need to find and install the old and free Bookman UPDATE Changed rating from one to four stars Corrected issues by deleting and reinstalling app and transfered files via iTunes not FTP and everything functions well and stable No more crashes or lockups              Update Crashes and Locksups a lot no more
Even before this last update I would have given 5 stars I just wish that there was a 6th star to give for this last update The rendering is amazing for the new iPad I love the library file management system Thanks for all the great work and I highly recommend                 Great app Great update

I have tried many readers none handle the sheer volume of titles in my library better than Bookman love this app                 I think its the best
I been using this app for several months now It is best of all of the ones I tried It works great for anything from comics to 1000 page reference manuals It fast and responsive and very stable It used to be a free app but now there is a great fully functional lite version and full version the only difference is that lite version has some adds I seen some complaints about the apps branching but come on people the developer should get paid for doing such great work Please keep it up                 The best app for PDF support comics
Super fast rendering Fast paging especially with transitions turned off                 Fast
Ive looked many comic book readers for iPad and this app is really the best Dropbox support is awesome cause I can add issues to dropbox folder and then read issue after issues through dropbox download                 Best comic book reader ever
I tried every way they show you download my books from my computer no luck I even tried to email their support no luck I guess I am out 3 dont be like me Skip right past this app     Very frustrating

This app was working great until the last update Every time I zoom in the page shifts out of place           Problem with zoom
I love my iPad for reading digital comics and Ive tried a few readers At the moment this is the best one out there and Im glad to see the improvements that have been added in this new release Although free is better I bought it to help support further development and relative to the cost of other readers its cheap As simple a thing as it is the new pageflip animation adds something to the immersion of reading a book The new Dropbox support is fantastic and totally worth the upgrade This has always been a great reader and it has gotten better with this update I can only hope that the new paid model helps the developer keep working and continue to add new features                 Great Comic Reader
The developer did not choose the most elegant way to shift this app from free to paid but hey its only natural he gets paid for his work and its just 299 so no big deal there But why fix things that were not broken to begin with Gone is the slide effect for turning pages replaced by a cumbersome and unnecessary animated flip But thats not the worst no Whats really a senseless useless clumsy move is replacing the plain black background with a 3D textured grey that distracts and gets in the way of actual reading Please get the solid black background at least as an option on the settings Ps For all you interested I managed to transfer my files via FTP from the Lite version to the Pro one using Transmit If you drag and drop the folders you can retain your file classification              It used to be the better for free
After updating my iPad 2 to ios5 when I try to zoom in with two fingers the page just decides to fly to the upper Left of the screen Very frustrating     Ios5

After doing some housecleaning on my iPad I decided to upgrade from the Free version to the Paid version Lo and behold I try to load files back onto my device via Bookman and everything goes well until ApplySync Nothing is loaded I restart iTunes and now files cant even be loaded via Bookman I loved the free version and thought Id throw the developer some money But wait The Free Version has now disappeared Shady money dupe Ill wait and see if Comic Rack ever makes its presence on iOS Until then Ill use CloudReader     Upgrade to Paid Version DOES NOT WORK
The app crashes everytime I use the highlight tool for some reason           Crashes
Brilliant app that does all I want it to and works well The only reason I rated it this low is that i recently bought the app for my iPhone and since then I bought an iPad2 A big fail for me is that I had to pay an additional 299 for the iPad version Many apps have cross platform support where one purchase can be used on multiple devices Why not this one           MultiPlatform Fail
shame a very bad customer service to this day i have no answer of my questions the questions I asked 2 weeks ago i have problems with passwordproteced pdf it is not possible to open this files I have advertising although I bought the pro version Sometimes i have programcrash     very bad customer service
People willing to give this developer a break should be thinking about the NEXT time they decide to pull this trick I strongly believe in people being paid for their work I also strongly believe in people keeping their word Implying that Bookman was a full product and then slapping a lite banner on it mucking with features and throwing in ads is insulting to the people that have supported the product and speaks to the character of the developer I personally recommended Bookman to two people and now I feel like a jerk for doing so Clearly I purchased this version as I am reviewing it but honestly I felt so strongly about giving it a single star that it was worth 3 bucks to me They should not feel comfortable doing this sort of thing because if developers get the idea that this behavior is OK then we are in for a confusing and messed up future I can think of a couple of ways the developer could have profited from bookman that would have been inclusive of current users rather than casting them aside People have wasted TIME on this product and that is much more valuable than a few dollars to most Make good products do your best to make them popular dont be deceptive in the way you do business and then you wont have unhappy customers actively working against you     When does bookman ULTRA come out
I cannot believe the AWESOME customer support for this app I emailed them about a zooming issue with iOS5 on Sunday They wrote back the following day saying they would take care of it and by Tuesday the following day they had released a new update with the issue fixed 10 stars to these guys                 Awesome app and support
Where do I start That features were removed or the switch from the regular version to the lite version was done in the worse way possible I bought the app anyway since I do enjoy the app and wanted to give something back to the author However there are better ways to handle a transition to a paying app Instead of removing features just add new features with in app purchases and leave the old features in As it stands all of my manga are in the now lite version The ad I didnt mind but the removal of the FTP from lite was an annoyance that tarnishes the app My hope is that you will is return all the feature to the lite version that you took out and only update the pro version from here on out     Shouldve handled switch better
Really solid At this point Ive tried several other apps free and paid when you search comics and although not überflashy if youre catching up on a slew of back issues this app is perfect Grouping foldering renaming Dropbox integration and iTunes USB transfers Just a solid efficient and useful app all around and comparitively the BEST for bulk comicsreaders would LOVE to have folders show graphically in the library view though Would make navigation seamless              Fantastic for back issue comics
Does not work Plain and simple Will not load cbr files which is why I bought it     Like throwing money away
I use this app as a comic reader and I love it It loads files fast and has been stable on my iPad Constantly updated and improved upon by the author this app is worth every penny              Great app
