I used to use this app all the time until recently Maybe its just because I have an iPhone 5 but when I use the app now many notes are cut short or even not played at all The instruments playing softer dynamics are chopped up per se in favor of the instruments playing louder dynamics Turning up the quieter ones makes all of the instruments playing sound choppy Please update or optimize it for the iPhone 5 soon I miss this app And just as a suggestion on the side Id like to see a staccatolegato toggle in the future too Loved it before it was buggy

When ever Im bored I play around w this app the only thing I would suggest to keep me coming back to this app would be more measures some of my songs need more than 64 measures Love the app

This app is wonderful for anyone that wants to create simple patterns but it is impossible to create anything worth listening to The biggest suggestions that I would make are to allow control over the length of the notes and to allow offbeat notes Good

Im a 13 year old aspiring musician who usually is too lazy to write reviews for such apps This app isnt that hard to figure out giving that I dont read instructions Even if you dont know much about music theory you can learn a bit of it from this app I applaud you Patternmusic Get this app if you write music

This is an amazing program like a combination of Sony JamTrax and Notation Composer Even if you havent used those computer programs just believe me when I say get this Its easy to figure out and the layout is fun to use Theres hardly anything I would want to change about it I cant believe this is free Please get it you wont regret it Amazing

First of all if you have no musical background whatsoever it provides set scales to make things easier Also I dont think people with no musical background should complain lets face it if you dont know what youre doing in a certain field of study you should expect to be unable to contribute to it I think jazz musicians could use this as a cheap personalized alternative to Jamey Aebersold You can write in the changes to a tune on the piano and have it loop forever change tempo change keys and add your own substitutions Best Ive Found

I have created so many amazing songs with this app its defiantly a must have xD My only suggestion would be if you could export your songs or share them with the patten music community D AMAZING

Its a very good effort and but the UI needs to be more easy to understand to make some quick simple yet nice music Very good effort but extremely not intuitive

This is an awesome app but its really hard for someone who doesnt have much musical experience You need more tutorials You need to show how to create a song not just tell that you can Just build a song and show us what you did and how you did it Awesome

im not a musician but i like the well designed interface my biggest complaint is not being able to change note lengths in the same track for changing tempo or putting the emphasis somewhere like weighted keys do if you made the midi sequencing more like Music Studio this app would be great i feel like making music with this is like playing single length notes spliced together it just doesnt hit right this app has a lot of potential though with the intuitive way you can add tracks and change their volume and stereo position great interface but hard to make a masterpiece

I have been using this specifically to build awkward metronome patters that a standard metronome will not or at least none that Ive found let you do It lets you choose between 34 44 and 54 but also it gives the option to set phrases or patters from 164 notes in all of the stand fractional counts For instance I have a pattern in 15 that has 15 notes in 54 and accents on the particular beats that I want Very useful for a drummer or other musician that practices to custom accenting patterns Also super easy to use almost like fruity loops Decent sounds not great but good enough for what Im doing actually just what Ive been looking for Much easier than turning on the pro tools and good for the road Custom metronome

The beautiful thing about this app is that it lets you create patterns of any length up to 64 steps unlike other apps that lock you in to 16 steps For that alone it gets 5 stars Plus I dig the symbols reminds me of Planet of the Apes writing Outstanding

This is remarkable Download it now For 5 stars it will need the ability to export individual tracks in audio and MIDI then it will be extremely useful Importing would be nice too The sounds could be better quality but that may be difficult on hand held devices Extra wishes Please please allow import of our own unique sounds and unquantized placement of notes as well as individual note glide option Get it now
