Paprika Recipe Manager

This app would be perfect if you didnt have to buy it for every single device If I owned five iPads I could put it on five iPads Apparently you have to purchase it separately for every single device even if you have the same operating system assuming you want the app on your phone and tablet and not on five computers The app is great but do your research first Every device is five bucks and every computer is twenty Pretty steep           Great if they werent after your money

First you should I know I endeavor to live by Penzeys motto Love People Cook them tasty food I rarely purchase apps free is good I very rarely write reviews But after using Paprika for several months I felt like a schmuck not telling folks how great it is Full disclosure I have it on my iPhone iPad laptop It is seamlessly integrated btwn all platforms No glitches or hangups It quickly efficiently recognizes recipes from websites youre browsing asks if it can pull them in When it does pull them in it does so with a high rate of accuracy I only edit when theres a change Ive chosen to make after preparing the recipe a couple times I travel a lot for work I meet a lot of people I often tell them about great recipes Ive found I love that I can share this joy w them right there on the spot straight from Paprika on my phone Also if my husband I are with friends we decide to make a quick dinner I can pull up a tried true recipe get started straight away Lots more I could say but if youre considering this app for your devices please know its well worth it NB One way Im getting better organized is that Im only adding recipes to Paprika that Ive made or personally eaten Im not using it for recipes I hope to try someday Hope that helps                 Worth it Totally worth it

If I could give this app 10 stars I would I enjoy cooking but I am a cook that uses recipes not one that guesses as they go along This app means I can get rid of all the printed pages I have from food network etc I find the recipe online and this saves it automatically so problem one taken care of The other thing that drove me crazy was the screen shutting down on my iPad while following a recipe This app takes care of that so problem number 2 solved                 Best recipe app I have found

My husband saw this app during a promotion and thought I would enjoy it so he purchased it for me He must know me well because I absolutely love it Easy to use and I love how its organized I can put in my own recipes or pull from my favorite recipe sites If for some reason the site doesnt allow paprika to pull the recipe they make it so easy to input the recipe just select text and click the category it goes in ingredients directions etc The app overrides my tablets auto shut off features so that I dont have to keep turning my iPad on every time I need to look at the next step And my favorite part The cloud sync I have the same recipes to access on my iPad or my husbands He asks me how to make our favorite popcorn snack Its in paprika                 Worth it

Paprika is just the right spice The Paprika recipe manager is a terrific application I love being able to maintain recipes on a PC with a keyboard but then use my iPad in the kitchen to read them I like that Paprika automatically prevents the iPad from turning off the display I hate it when the screensaver cuts in and my hands are messy from cooking and I dont want to touch the screen to reactivate it I have noted some instabilities with Paprikas builtin browser on some lesserknown recipe sites but generally the browser works pretty well on the mainstream sites I would like to see one new feature added and that is for Paprika to keep track of the last time a recipe was used and allow recipes to be filtered or searched upon that field or even better a full history of usage to determine how popular the recipe is it really doesnt matter to me when the recipe was entered into the system so the Most Recent category would be better served keying on the date of usage of the recipe Making it so that recipes could be printed in recipe card format would be a nice feature for sharing with others but that isnt really very important for me                 Just the right spice

User friendly Easy to use between my iMacAir and iPad I love it I have a lot of family recipes I wanted to put in an easy to use app for my ipad in the kitchen and that I could edit on my computer as well I downloaded and tried numerous apps and most are confusing tricky and just a bother I finally decided to try this one Pricey compare to the others but well worth it One note to the developers please change one function When you click on a picture it should display in full screen I dont usually write reviews but in this case I just had too                 EXCELLENT

Best recipe app out there by far It does an excellent job of organizing all my online recipes Ive purchased the iPad app and PC program and both work together very well Money well spent                 Best recipe organizer

This is a great app thats easy to use t also has good support and help areas It works with hundreds of sites and blogs and its a simple cut and paste for the rest Easy to organize my recipes and I love that it syncs between devices I have three iPads and it syncs easily as well as with my other devices No you dont have to purchase a copy for each iPad but you do have to purchase a different copy for Different devices such as a iPhone or PC which is fair because the programming is different Im so tired of children who think people should program for free if its that simple write your own programs and quit whining you entitled brats I do wish it allowed you to save more than on picture but it does keep the link to the original site But its great for those who like to easily keep track of the recipes you find online and the shopping list is great its right on my phone                 Use constantly

I love this app Effortless downloading off internet very nice appearance add own recipes nutrition breakdown sorting options search ingredients what else could you ask for I have even incorporated all my family recipes into this app Using the ingredients I have managed to calculate the fat calories etc per serving Pretty awesome app This app keeps getting better Now they have autocomplete so it gets to know youkeep up the great work So easy to use                 Best recipe app ever hands down A must try please

Very easy to use Its actually my favorite cook book I can grab a recipe from a website Save an image with it Adding comments and hints is easy too Suggestion Id love a feature to send a respite to a family member or friend through the app They could even have the option to download paprika themselves if they choose to                 User Friendly

The main reason I got this app was for the organization part I like to have a library of recipes and I want it easy to browse through with pictures and tags I thought this app would do that kind of like free apps on this market However not only wasnt the tagging and picture importing any better than those free apps but paprika also doesnt support easy one click importing from chrome Pinterest or anything but safari really The interface is also not as nice looking as other apps The only advantage to this is it doesnt force you to have an account to store a lot of recipes Otherwise its really not worth the money     Need better importing and tagging

Paprika is one of my favorite apps Ive imported recipes from many different places on the internet and can only think of one instance where it didnt do so perfectly Also generating shopping lists automatically and being able to sync everything between devices is so handy Im giving this app 4 stars instead of 5 because there is some room for improvement in how it assigns aisles to ingredients when generating shopping lists Also it would be very helpful to be able to create multiple shoppings lists for shopping at more than one store Thanks for making this app              Super cool app

This is absolutely the best App of all If you like to copy new recipes or just have some place to store your favs this app is a must So easy to use Just dont know how they could improve it                 Excellent

I really love this app and have been enjoying going through my recipes and organizing them in Pakrika However my web browser bookmark list is overflowing with recipes and theres no way to import them in bulk I need to load individual web pages which is very very slow Id love to see a feature added where the Import option includes bookmark files Thanks              Great app but needs bookmark import feature

I was an early adopter and have been using Paprika as my goto cooking app for a long time When it comes to grabbing recipes off the web saving your own recipes and meal planning its almost flawless However there is one major shortcoming If I want to add a recipe from a cookbook or magazine I have no choice but the tedious task of transferring each ingredient and step by hand If Paprika added the ability to take a pic of a recipe and add it to the app like the Evernote scanner it would be 100 complete              Awesome Needs ONE Key feature

This wins the recipe keeper platform by miles It is well worth spending the money to buy because it clips and saves recipes creates a shopping list you can customize alter and edit recipes when you find something that makes a recipe your own and you can input your own recipes and photos with ease Many complaints about the cost over multiple devices My suggestion is pay for it once on the device you are going to have in the kitchen when you are cooking and if youre feeling splurgy buy it for your phone so you can truly utilize the shopping list feature 10 for a personalized recipe book A bargain when you think of how much you shell out for actual bound paper recipe books If you are serious about cooking and organizing your recipes stop looking for the right app and get this one                 Hands downbest recipe app

Paprika is one of my very first app purchases and still the best I use it every day Have tried other recipe managers and nothing else compares                 Look no further

This developer does not allow you to use this app on all your devices unless you purchase it at 499 for each and every device For example buy it for 499 for your iPad then pay 499 to use it on your iPhone then another 499 to use it on your computer But hey if you have five authorized computers and sync thru the cloud then you can use the purchased 499 computer version on those five computers What a great deal The app description highlighted a feature about being able to have the data synced between devices but it in no way stated that you have to purchase them separately at 499 each That adds up     Warning New Users

I use this all the time I keep all of my recipes here Adding new ones from the web is very easy I have this on my Mac and iPad and so far synching is working well                 Love this app

I rarely spend money on apps and this one is expensive But it is worth every penny I use it for menu planning downloading new recipes and as a grocery list Its on my phone and iPad both It has always worked great I even added all my paper recipes to it I love that it backs up and syncs across the cloud b                 Worth the money

Im depending on this app now I absolutely love it Bought it for my iPhone and iPad and three of my friends bought it too I would gladly pay 30 for it Things I love about it I can create my own categories Subcategories One recipe in several categories chicken Italian grilling Meal plans I also use it as a diary When my kids say we had this same thing a week ago I can show when we had it last time Synching between iPad and iPhone I create the meal plan comfortably on he iPad then just take the iPhone to the store to see my list I dont just see the list though but if I need to change the plan I can look up other recipes right there Downloading recipes is so much fun I can easily download recipes from nonEnglish websites as well which is important for me Half of my recipes are written in a different language Taking and saving pictures Being able to quickly go back to the original website from inside the recipe The negatives pictures are very small unless it can be downloaded from the original website only one picture per recipe are tiny compared to what this app offers                 Using every day for a few years now

Should be a universal app between iPad and iPhone There is no reason other than greed to make it so           Disappointed in the gouging

Great app it has been indispensable to me I tried others and none have even come close I bought the app for iPhone iPad Desktop and am very happy However some things could be improved like the ability to use tags instead of categories and being able to sort filter using those tags Tags are not like categories for instance cooking methods like steamed BBQgrilled fried or descriptions like healthy shouldnt have to clutter up the list of categories and would make good tags Also the ability to add multiple images per recipe would be a great feature for stepbystep recipes                 Love it but could use improvements

If you want to use this on multiple devices you must pay for each That 10 for both my iPad and iPhone Hopefully you wont want to use it on a computer Mac or pc because they will charge you another 20 on top Not the answer if you are wanting to connect between devices unless you have some money burning a hole in your pocket     Price Gouging

I have the app on my iPhone iPad and Kindle Fire and they all sync I use it to make the shopping list to plan weekly meals etc I had my DD and my BF download it and we share recipes Totally worth the money                 Simply the BEST

There is a lot of competition in the recipe app space and all of it is cheaper than Paprika However none of them were able to do what this app did for my family It made recipe discovery organization and utilization so simple and fun that it actually helped me begin to love cooking I went from frozen dinner king to chef extraordinaire and I cant wait to plan the weekly meals every Saturday People actually ask me for my recipes now I didnt create any of them of course but its impressive for me nonetheless There are imperfections in the app of course For instance the shopping list feature could use smarter consolidation when pulling from ingredient lists It is also difficult to find the conversion feature and scaling recipes only changes the ingredients list not the quantities in the directions Having used the app everyday for the last half year I could probably rattle off little things like these and feature requests all day long However these little quibbles are a result of my loving the app so much that I live in it for hours a week If it wasnt so great I wouldnt have even become familiar with the quirks The other apps couldnt do that for me This is the best and I recommend it to everyone I talk to about food The magic is worth every penny                 Simply the best

I have NEVER paid more than a dollar for an app but after reading the reviews and due to my love of cooking decided to take the plunge Glad I did Great app easy to use and all encompassing Dont need anything else Uses cloud tech to keep all devices on the same page Well designed app that I have spent hours using in the first few days Love the app                 Wonderful

I hesitated purchasing this originally because it was difficult to understand how yet another recipe manager was worth it Since the beginning of personal computers every platform has its own version of this What sets this apart in my opinion is the ability to scrape the recipe off of every single website I have found and collect them in one place It stores them in a native format so that if the website or recipe disappears from the internet you still have it In other words it isnt just a website clipper                 Fantastic

I dont pay for apps often and even more rarely more than a dollar Paprika was worth every penny I love it It has everything I was looking for and more and I cook more because of it                 Best 499 ever

Ive been using this app for years love it New apps come out I try them but they dont compare I notice people complaining about buying the apps separate but to me its still worth it This app does everything except cook your food for you the support has been great its totally worth the                 Hands down the best recipe organizer app

Having this app on my phone for grocery shopping on my tablet for cooking and on my laptop for menu planning and recipe hunting has totally changed how we plan shop for and cook dinner The amount of money we have saved by decreasing impulse buys at the store not throwing out food that I thought I might want to cook but never got around to and eating out less frequently paid for the cost of the apps within the first two weeks I have tried a lot of different grocery shopping menu planning and cooking apps none of them work as seamlessly and intuitively as Paprika                 Worth Every Penny

I love to cook and love patrolling food blogs and the Internet for new foods to try I have the iPad app the PC app and the phone app and it syncs BEAUTIFULLY On the crazy chance it doesnt find the recipe format its so super easy to just copy the bit you need and tap where in the recipe it goes but most of the time it can read the recipe no problem Then I can take my phone to the store and grab ingredients or if I see an item on sale quickly scan for recipes that include it and use my iPad to prepare it And who doesnt like smart timers to just click and time I rarely rarely write reviews but if I could have designed an app to meet my cooking needs myself this would have been it                 I Love This App

I originally reviewed this app way back in August 2013 I loved it then and still use it just about every day One suggestion Please make it compatible with the AppleWatch at least the grocery list anyway The grocery list on your wrist would be great to use when shopping                 AppleWatchreadywhen

I almost NEVER take the time to write reviews which isnt really fair since I rely on others reviews quite often But this app deserves my time I recently started eating radically more healthy than usual and I was frustrated with recipes strewn all over the internet in several different recipe boxes I now keep them all neatly organized with this app The amazing thing is it really works Very easy to import the recipes and the app is stable and reliable It will create a grocery list and even organize it by category I wanted this info at my fingertips at all times so I would be encouraged to USE IT so I hesitantly paid to have the app installed on my laptop iPad and iPhone It was money well spent Everything stays perfectly synced between all devices But the most impressive thing to me is that this app REALLY WORKS I love it                 Awesome
