First off I dont begrudge paying 5 for this game I definitely feel as if I got my moneys worth Initially the game is a lot of fun Youre exploring figuring out resource management reading the choose your own adventure storyline and finding all sorts of new ships and adventures After about a hundred and fifty deaths and starting from the beginning it gets a little old that you cant save the game This game feels like an expanded version of Oregon Trail Youre going along with the big ship you stumbled across and finally upgraded think youve planned your resources well for every contingency and suddenly youre hit with a random two device breakage and a string of no or low gas giant planet systems including the Suns Guess what Game over Start again from scratch Its a fun game but it loses me when everything Ive done is for naught and I cant finish even the first quest point           Fun For a while

This game has an amazing structure while remaining extremely simple however there is little skill required the majority of the game is chance and just hoping youll get lucky It feels very frustrating since you dont feel in control of you fate you are just as likely to do well if you just clicked random things with a blindfold on Dont spend money on this Some may say its hard but honestly there is no strategy A little strategy is involved but it ha little to no outcome on youre fate There is a lot of interesting things you can learn from the alien life and a lot of cool tech but youd be lucky to find 2 before you die and even luckier if you Cana cruelly craft a anything        Dont waste your money

Theres a set encounter where a fleet of ships destroy some of your ships components and steals two technologies that help your ship travel greater distances and when this happens almost always Im forever stranded and forced to give up because the distance between solar systems are now too great since my technology has been stolen and destroyed Even with the ship that uses Oxygen as an alternative fuel I still havent gotten to the first quest marker           One gamebreaking thing

Excellent game great update just a couple bugs 1 Planting death seed uses all Omega in my case 3 makes game hard to complete architects system Update seems like instead the Enter Black Hole button is broken in that ending each time you click on the button a Omega is used but nothing happens 2 Terraforming creates a garden planet that cannot be seen on solar system view Other than those issues my second favorite roguelike after FTL which is saying a lot                 Excellent Except For Bugs

This game has potential but the coin toss aspect of the game simply ruins the fun The exploration part is enjoyable but the random and unforgiving mechanics within the game make for a maddening experience There should at the very least be a save option available I want to have fun not punish myself I updated my rating of this game to one star Out There is just stupidly hard     Too much randomness

I was almost deterred by the warning that this game was hard In fact it kept me from the game for several weeks Im glad I got past it because this game is quite enjoyable Its beautiful both in visuals and audio I havent noticed an issues its stability                 Love it

Gets boring after 15 minutes only 3 kinds of planets and never enough fuel to do anything        Horrible ripoff of FTL

The gameplay is simple the story is fun and luck is a significant factor Many people dont seem to like the luck issue but I feel that it works for the setting Besides a little luck can turn a game around in an instant Five wellearned stars                 Fun and Difficult Romp

This game gives you a certain palpable sense as you play it its so compelling even after playing it for hours for some reason I cant put my finger on Definitely a must play                 Incredible

The new graphics are great except they could be higher resolution and stuff could be antialiased And I kinda dislike the the new planet graphics They spin too fast they all look the sameish and the outer view and landed view are nothing alike Yet all in all an amazing game                 Great

My favorite iOS game Simple UI and concept Challenging and relaxing Think Oregon Trailbut in the unimaginable expanse of the our beautiful universe I always find myself coming back to this every few months EDIT Props to the devs for dishing out the free update for owners of the original version I would have gladly paid for the new version but moves like this keep developers on my radar and encourage me to buy future games from them Oh right The review for the update Didnt think the game could get any better than it wasI was wrong Very wrong The upgraded visuals alone are magnificent If you havent played this game yet and youre a space junky you should probably stop reading and download the latest version Like Now                 Awesome

I bought this because of the many great reviews but its been a disappointment due to game difficulty Games all follow the same path of running out of fuel or destroying your hull while seeking fuel It seems like it could be a great game but the scarcity of resources makes it a short hard grind that always plays out the same way I suspect if the resources were better balanced that theres a lot more to see and do in the game but only a rare sequence of random chances might allow a player to last more than a few minutes Its needlessly hard in a way that is immune to making different play choices and that gets old pretty fast           Repetitive Lack of Resources

I almost quit playing the game after updated to omega version I am missing the classic version        I suggest stay in classic version

First off the graphics and music is simply great Really gives you a emotional stuck out in space vibe and the music really sets the tone of the game Beautiful art hands down I really wanted to deep down give this five stars But I feel there should be different difficulty settings a option where you can save and the game at times feels as if it runs on luck more than anythingyou can be so conservative and then run into a couple bad things and you are finished I love the exploration aspect of it though and the beauty behind the game I hope they give it a good update and add those options in Then I could easily give this five stars           Enjoyable but extremely challenging

You are going from earth to Jupiter in a cryogenic pod and drift off course trying to get home you encounter new races and hostile forces along side natural phenomena and new tech 65 a must buy one of the best RPGs Ive seen in a long time The graphics are amazing compared to the last out there imagine it like this if the first out there is a kindergarten drawing then out there omega is a Mozart level art Only problem Ive ever had is that sometimes it glitches and you cant add anything to your supplies like fuel Your tank is empty and you have some hydrogen but it wont go in                 AMAZING1

Not sure whether or not I hate or love the game for being realistic in the sense that you constantly run out of fuel making you scramble to find more but if you want a game thats easy and short Do not get this game This game will make you rage if thats what youre expecting This game is definitely for those who want a challenge and dont mind choices that will either end with you having to restart from the beginning or being able to continue with just enough fuel left I would rate it 5 stars if they did make it easier to get more Hydrogen and Helium though Add on Damage when visiting gas planets are completely random too and kind of frustrating Like one visit youll take 8 damage and then the next youll take 43 and die Most of the time its some huge amount though              Beautifully Difficult

Wanted to love this game and hate writing a review complaining about difficulty but the gameplay is basically broken Managing the fuel resource is impossible even gathering fuel can cost more fuel than you acquire and everything in the game is pure randomness No skill is applicable        Pretty but badly designed gameplay

This game is great but its haaaaard if you guys dont wanna change that its cool just make a seperate easier mode I feel like i get punished for wanting to explore and immerse myself in a game I honestly get farther by zipping as fast as i can and only stopping when i start to get low on fuel so pleaaaase make an easy mode and i would play this so much more              A bit hard

Great original game in the spirit of FTL but with a focus on exploration and resource management Love it                 For you FTL fans out there

The gameplay itself is simple but the strategy and decisionmaking is more difficult making this game a good challenge for anyone whos up for it A true gem to the genre Update much thanks to the developers for polishing their awesome game                 Worth every penny

Never played it before the update but I truly love this new version Its full of atmosphere fantastic music and visuals yet leaves more then enough for your imagination A masterful combination of space survival simulator and text adventure genres I only hope that there is more to come in terms of updates perhaps even a cooperative mode for online play                 Lets hope for future updates and developer support

A few bugs but overall a really fun and challenging game The music and graphics are different and beautiful Overall one of my favorite games on iOS                 Awesome

Yeah so its pretty amazing how it was all thought out but I think theres a few scenarios that need reconsidering They are 1 when the alien puts something on the ground and runs away clearly Omega but because the player has a full inventory the game does not give you Omega Instead the player should be given the option between dropping one stack for the item or throwing the Omega away and 2 when landing on a garden planet with life on it puts you out of fuel The player should be given the chance to encounter life for a chance of Omega Sorry that my comment is a bit long very much worth the money I spent for the game              Very Good Couple Suggestions

This game is hard yes but if you can figure out the mechanics of it you will soon enjoy it Fuel collection is easy probe 77111 etc till you empty the planet Drill for 7 until you get what you want Drop metals you dont need at the moment Keep 4 slots for iron fuel and oxygen The soundtrack is awesome the rougelike is outstanding and the survival is challenging                 Dont listen to complainers

Fun game sometimes difficult at that point makes me want to throw my phone but you know thats just typical when playing games                 Pretty dang good

Frustrating frustrating frustrating Imagine gambling with your life every step you take Now imagine THAT in space Gamers meet Out There an Oregon trail type spaceadventureresourcemanaging game that will have you feeling cheated and defeated every time you warp to a new star system only to have the game randomly decide to rob you of enough resources to make it any further With hundreds of systems to explore and purportedly 50 different endings I can safely say that after hours of play the only ending that I can manage is the one where I die a horrible lonely death Things that might improve this game that would cut down on the times that a gamer feels helpless and in the dark about what to do next that wont immediately spell certain death for the player 1 More fuel yield from gas giants resulting in less grinding for fuel right off the bat Too often I find myself grinding for Hydrogen at the start of the game only to jump to a system where I am robbed of that fuel AND all the hard work I put into mining it I mean come on a freakin STAR doesnt have enough hydrogen to fill the tank of an interstellar vessel 2 More cargo space Or at least a way to expand existing cargo space Or more reasonably make it so that the player doesnt lose resources that are stored in the probes if they decide not to put them directly in their cargo hold What Resources just vanish from the probes storage chambers when not in use What about the law of conservation of MASS In conclusion The deck is stacked against you in this game of survival against the harshness of the void Unfairly so and in this authors opinion could stand some tweaking as outlined above to make it less tiresome and more enjoyable to play The story has lots of potential to be really goodif you can survive long enough to get all of it but be prepared to die a LOT Or just leave this oneOut There 2 of 5 stars for being too frustrating        Game of chance little payoff

Really fun game very addicting I would like to see some kind of save or undo function because you can play for hours and then make 1 mistake and its over This game is like my robot exgirlfriend cold and unforgiving              Hard as my pecs after a blast sesh at the gym

Ive been playing this game a lot recently and actually gotten really good at it But when I got close to finishing I couldnt get to a new star because it was to far away and I had no way of getting to it so I couldnt finish UPDATE I tried again and again it it keeps doing this no matter what I do I cant get to the other half of the area and Im extremely iterated and mad        Cant even finish

Soo here i am in this vast universe on a pretty good run and as i travel on i eventually get really low on fuel then i got lucky found a new ship an i go to it by choosing the risk it all thing an i press ok i get to the ship and it says im out of fuel and this is the end of my journey but i arrived at in front of the new ship already is it a bug or what              Idk if this is a bug or what

Too hard and too random From a science standpoint if Ive upgraded my ship and Im able to probe a star that should give me more fuel than I would need ever Nope I get 7 hydrogen Thats just one dumb aspect of this frustrating game Maybe add difficulty levels or something No save I agree with the naysayers that are giving reviews of this game Fix and it gets 45 stars     Too random

Of the many games of the genre Ive played this might be my favorite Its charming and well made but whats so great is that it doesnt pull punches You will lose repeatedly and you will like it It rewards thoughtfulness and nerdery and punishes force Youre not gonna just tank your way through this One of the things I love most is learning new words Its a simple thing but adds a lot to a relatively simple game like this Also every decision is important Keep an eye on your resources and dont get too Indiana Jones or youll make a mistake and die I suggest this game but it definitely isnt for everyone                 Brilliant Exploration Game

I cant believe there was not a review for this Its a great game you feel like you cant breath when your air is low and you feel like your in space fighting too survive its a challenge and the different endings will satisfy you                 Great immersive space survival

If you havent played FTL Faster Than Light this game is almost as good Out There Omega Edition is definitely good but focuses a lot more on the story which could be a good or bad thing Both of them are on steam so I recommend that you get either one of these or both there for mod support Lastly if you want a more combat centered game you should get FTL              Ok

This game feels very different from many things out on the App Store and if you like the idea of a space exploration game this is worth a look but beware this is a very challenging game It can be randomly cruel but also very rewarding when you finally triumph The game is neither easy or short but if youre a person looking for a challenging but rewarding game there are few titles on the App Store that do it quite like Out There The newest Omega Edition update also added scores of new content just when the game was getting kind of repetitive for me so thanks 55 game right here                 Difficult but fun

Ive been playin this game for a couple weeks whenever I have free time and its fvckin ridiculous the difficulty Not only do you need knowledge and skill to win this You need sooooo much luck Aye but I like hard games and this game and the ensign are probably the hardest on iOS Super fun and really interesting 4 stars because it is a bit to dependent on luck Its annoying cause you can get screwed over so easily              Thai game is hard as hell

Resources in this game are extremely scarce The game is very long and there is absolutely no way to save your progress except when quitting the game Add a game saveload feature and it would be much much better        Way too difficult
