The app UI looks blown up and fuzzy blurry Apparently they re taking the low resolution UI built for the iPhone 5 5S and just scaling it up to the iPhone 6 screen Looks terrible The app ought to be displayed at native resolution But the content is by far the best ortho app on the App Store App looks blurry everything is comically large medstudent1138
I am an ER physician and this app is very useful when you want to determine possibility of fractures or dislocations when you do not have a radiologist on call Will recommend this to anyone Worth the investment Once of The best Ortho apps DragonEyes76
Excellent app Highest yield for the busy orthopaedic consult resident Best ortho trauma app Rokafor
Text is good but a picture is worth a lot of text and for some incomprehensible reason there are only normal radiographs no x rays of fx or dislocations Comparison of normal and fx dislocation would be the single most useful feature of an ortho app and this has none of that No radiographs of pathology Looking for phrases
This app is definitely for the iPhone not the iPad You can increase the size of the screen on the iPad by 2 but the screen is distorted A let down and not worth the money Not worth 10 KMWelling
Excellent resource Relatively follows Handbook or Fractures Traumapedia JesuaLaw
As a PA this app is a great quick reference point 10 is a little expensive but it Is better than other ortho apps I have tried Great quick reference App Jtholla
As an orthopedic surgery resident this is the single best ortho application for the iPhone iPod It is very thorough from a brief overview of the fracture dislocation to classification to film to treatment In essence this app is handbook of fractures in your pocket Recommended for medical students residents attendings or anyone who would love to learn more about this great field of medicine It is very well organized with smooth transition between subjects One thing they could add wishful thinking would be a small question bank with OITE type questions Either way this is a superb app and will serve me well throughout residency From an ortho resident X mtb X
Excellent Just what I have looking for a thorough and very readable fracture dislocation radiology guide that includes recommendations with great pics explanations of what to look for on X ray etc Great job I will rec d to all my colleagues Primary care sports medicine doc SportsMed12
App was great before update Now even better with addition of radiograph images MUST HAVE for anyone in health profession dealing with Orthopedic Trauma Great Resource sixoc68
Despite being billed as a condensed reference it is surprisingly comprehensive e g it has a section on prox tib fib dislocations I m pretty sure most people forget this even exists I agree with one of the other reviews this app could benefit from the judicious addition of more images but I believe the apparent accuracy and comprehensiveness of the information warrants the cost Ideal for ortho professionals who need a quick reference and other inquisitive MSK healthcare providers who are looking to learn Good info GearyMD
I ve been looking for an app like this for quite some time As a physical therapist at an academic trauma center I treat a wide variety of ortho patients Despite my 11 years of experience it s not uncommon for me to encounter some rare injury pattern or a treatment I m not familiar with I can t tell you how nice it is to finally have an ortho trauma app on my phone No more running to a computer to sift through internet sites or journal articles when all I need is some basic information Granted there s some stuff here that PTs probably won t need but I m an inquisitive lady I d rather have a little more than less I ve also found that it helps me communicate with the docs better And who doesn t need that So convenient and easy Thanks Fast and so simple to use physioMA
concise accurate useful app w nice interface good pics efficient delivery of info perfect for anyone who cares for musculoskeletal injuries from primary care to ortho specialists med students to residents to NPs etc well worth the cost best ortho app I ve seen great ortho resource paytonk
I bought this app as an EM physician hoping that it would help provide a quick visual guide to fracture classification and perhaps have some pearls on radiographic interpretation The preview images certainly make it Look like this might be the case In reality the application has very few images and mostly relies on text descriptions of injury patterns This may be valuable for an ortho resident but I think it is not a very good quick reference for emergency providers Very few images EMDocGeek
