Good app that makes the intended tasks and smoothly works from iPad to Mac and viceandversa The GU might be enhanced and its navigation somewhat streamlined I will definitively welcome any enhanced features              Worth the investment

Unlike many apps Ive bought this one works every time every feature No exceptions Im amazed that despite the disclosures of 100 email interception most people dont bother to encrypt For iPad this app makes it easy Existing keys can be imported I really like the ability to draft add attachments sign and send an email from within the app itself Very slick                 It Works

The oPenGP app provides a basic method of handling PGPencrypted emails on the iPad I have had no problems with it in terms of what it is intended to do There are a couple of features that I would like to see added and each would be worth a star to me First while I appreciate the ability of the app to store my passphrase I would prefer the option of setting a timeout for how long it is stored The app currently supports only an all or nothing approach Second the app would be improved if it supported pictures that are included in MIME attachments However I can recommend it based on what it does           Does the job could be better

App works great but does not provide any user feedback post signature validation Details about who signed something when and with which key are unavailable in the current release Also some key management features would be nice just being able to delete revoked keys would be welcome              Nice app sig verification needs work

I was really hoping I would be able to create a new key using this instead of annoyingly transferring it from my PC              Missing a cool feature but still awesome

Superb app What every app should aspire to Excellent instructions superb capabilities top notch encryption While it tells you to do some of the setup in conjunction with iTunes I did it from my Ubuntu desktop and the setup and key transfer went flawlessly I couldnt be happier Before this I bought Safe and it is the biggest piece of crap in the app world and costs more than oPenGP This app is what you want and need if you are looking for simple foolproof encryption using your iOS device Get it now you wont be sorry                 Worth it if you put a 1 in front of the 3 in 399

Ever since the July 30 update both iPhone and iPad crash when attempting decrypt App is useless since last update     Crashes

Easy to install and set up by following the instructions Works as advertised Would be great if it was better integrated with mail but under IOS restrictions I doubt they could ever make it so that you could read encrypted mail without sending it to another app At least now I have a way to read and send encrypted email yay                 Works as advertised

Ive been using this program for some time now and while it has some flaws I dont feel it deserves the bad ratings it has It has worked well for me It is not as easy to use as I would like but that seems to be partly because of iOS If you take the time to learn it encryptiondecryption is reasonably easy and quick I use it on the go to keep in touch with my friends who are using encryption and I have to say it works for me The biggest drawback is that you have to be willing to take the time to learn how to use it And I guess that makes it a no go for most these days Just my opinion but then I learned how to use it              A decent program

The developer immediately replied to a request for help and my user error was corrected I use Dropbox to import the keys Everything works just fine                 Excellent app

Able to easily encryptsigndecrypt messages between friends and I The only problem is when importing keys it will sometimes freeze however if you restart the app it will usually import the keys without a problem                 Works as advertised

UPDATE One MAJOR flaw it also has is that t forces you to use you contacts to search for keys on PGP servers instead of providing a search field For an app that is supposed to be for privacy I find this to be obscene and have deducted another star UPDATE 2 Also cannot do symmetric passphrase only encryptiondecryption Im not sure why a developer with a piece of software so great would allow a bug to linger and survive for almost three years Reading the reviews youll see that the import from clipboard bug has existed almost as long as the software has been around While it is nice that i can draw import keys from DropBox that is a tedious convoluted workaround when i should be able to simply cutandpaste from email The latter being the way i normally receive my public keys Given that this is an app with a price tag I would think that bugs would be handled in a timely manner Even though this app is being presented as production quality the missing clipboard functionality really puts it at the beta test level at best I dont think it is right for developers to charge users to test their product This app should be on the free list until the critical paste from clipboard functionality has been added        A great piece of software marred by a three year old achilles heel

I tested the lite version which worked and I subsequently downloaded the full version That was a mistake The full version doesnt work My keys that I successfully used with the lite version They wont import in the full version Save your money and purchase another app     Save your money

While the NSA can use their unending budget and resources to decrypt anything that we the people have open PGP will certainly cover you from police the FBI and your wife                 Love it Open PGP is possibly the last bastion of privacy

If Im prompted to enter the device passcode on my iPad 3 I cant see your keyboard to type on This app used to work great but like so many others updates have ruined it     No keyboard appears when required

A stable app that handles the basic PGPencrypted email workflow is a godsend on iOS App has a bit of a learning curve as most PGPrelated software does PGPGPG is hard Most users of the gnupg command line should be able to handle the exportimport steps with ease Protip when following the instructions make sure you export in ASCII format and include the secret key before the public key              Barebones does the job well

Crashing when importing keys REVISION OF MY ORIGINAL REVIEW When I first bought this app I thought there was a prob importing keys There Isnt The prob wasis an inability of iPhone to correctly copy pgp keys from some specific locations Its the copy NOT THE IMPORT thats the prob After using this app for several months now I can honestly say that this app is GREAT And it seems to be the only app like it here We need this app so support it its designer we need them both                 Very disappointed NOT

This app is the best the only issue i have is that i cant seem to get it to encrypt pictures from the photostream However as far as text goes it is rock solid and so useful i love it              Awesome

I have my key in clipboard When I try to import it the key shows up but the application doesnt import it when I click the import button     Cant import private key via clipboard

OPenGP is one of the most valuable apps for my IOS devices I keep my logins passwords and important personal information in a PDF Portable Document Format file which I encrypt using GPG the free GNU Privacy Guard on my PCs OPenGP allows me to copy that encrypted file to my IOS devices and to decrypt the file using my private encryption key I generated with GPG No one else can decrypt the file unless they have the passcode for my private key which I protect carefully After I get the information I need from my decrypted file OpenGP allows viewing PDF files OPenGP erases the decrypted file The encrypted file is still available for the next time I need it              Excellent encryption product for IOS

This is what I have needed Uses my PGP keys exported from my old Windows machine Will get desktop version for my Mac Pro The only down side is the bright white screen I have macular degeneration and my eyes are so sensitive to white screens I wish there were a dark theme option Still 5 stars Just hope developer is listening                 Works Great

I like that this app doesnt try to become your email client Instead it makes it easy to open PGP encrypted asc files and read them write new messages and encryptsign them and then send via mail Also happy that you can upload your secret key file without using the network in iTunes              Good iOS PGP solution
