ONKYO HF Player

I upgraded to the HD player Then dowloaded a DSD music file to the documents section and tried to sync The app crashes at that moment Later when slecting the HD function of the HF player also causes the app to crash I reinstalled the app but that did not help I tried it on both my iPad and iPhone 6 and with the same bad results        Crashes for HD

This worked great playing D64 files using DSD over PCM 10 using Sony PHA2 DAC                 Works great

i really liked the quality and the custumizability that this app has                 amazing app

Completely useless I added songs to the App folder on iTunes opened the app and there was nothing although music files took space in my iPhone in some ghost folder I guess they want you to buy the HD pack for 10 to use it False advertising     Junk

The app is wonderful that I wont deny Its a seamless transition from the vanilla music app to this one all your playlists artists etc swap over However Ive encountered a terrible problem when it comes to actually listening to musicmost audio tracks inexplicably lose an amount of time whenever you shift to a new time in a song Say Song A is 5 minutes long I skip to 330 I know what the song sounds like at that time but instead I hear the song start from what would otherwise be 120 This leads to many songs ending prematurely That said I cant give this more than a 3 for such a fatal flaw being present           Functioning but with a terrible glitch

This amazing app makes your music play better If you know the basics of an equalizer this app wont disappoint you plus it comes with other effects that make your audio sounds like a pro Also i recommend a good set of headphones everything counts 1010                 Amazing

First of all Onkyos HF Player is truly remarkable in its functionality and feel If you would like a featurerich alternative to the builtin Music app I heartily recommend it However one must still currently use iTunes to add files to the device whether syncing an entire library to ones iPhone or selecting otherwise unplayable formats for inapp storage and reproduction Would it be possible to add FTP support for uploading content to HF Player Thank you                 FTP upload support please

No iPad support Portrait display only so if you use it on an iPad in a keyboard case its sideways This app is 3 years old and they havent made these minor changes Absurd     LOL of course not

Since the last update which playback issue this app has been absolutely amazingreally phenomenal It also has the best EQ out there Even if you dont intend to play highres music the EQ alone is worth the price of this app I use this app to drive a 5000 audiophile stereothats how good it is                 Amazing

I am using this with a Sony PHA2 DAC and the sound quality is amazing particularly with DSD DoP output                 Excellent sound quality

I am a veteran of many apps to play FLAC files on my iPhone and my iPad This is the best yet in most respects Because of the limitations of the iPhone DAC it cannot play high resolution files without down sampling However unlike any other player Ive seen it will output to an external DAC using the Lightning connector In theory the iPhone could play up to 96Khz 24 bit FLACS and may do so with IOS upgrades For the time being the use of an external DAC is cumbersome I also question loading high resolution files onto the iPhone since they take up a lot of space The app happily plays 192Khz 24 bit files but down samples to 44Khz After experimenting Im inclined to make lower resolution files for the app to save space The equalizer is very useful if a bit tricky to operate It is very handy for creating profiles for different headphones It would be nice to have some generic presets however I have not quite got the album art figured out Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt Files that have art work show the generic screen even though they worked with other players If you into high resolution FLAC music this is the best player Ive tried                 Excellent Player

The player works as advertised on my iPhone 6 with iOS 811 Works great with the new Creative E5 In USB Host mode I give it 3 stars cause Id like to see Updated to take advantage of the iPhone 66 resolution Allowing to add cover directly from the App Some wish list features would be DTS files decoding output other than PCM for DAC that support native files           Works as advertised but needs updating

i put some FLAC files in iphone but app doesnt work it works properly when uses iphone built in speaker but when i plug earphone app stops playing     app doesnt work

I got this to play my HD tracks Works perfectly Now I dont have to be tethered to my computer to hear them                 Works as advertised

I have been loking for a music equaliser for many days I tried many players but none of them could satisfy me But after experiencing this app i am totally amused It gives me many times more than i expect Its equaliser really awsome                 Ever best player

I never knew an iPhone could sound so good Finally DSD is available on iOS and it sounds awesome Definitely worth the inapp purchase for this feature which turns the app into a onestopshop for mp3 ALAC AAC Flac WAV aiff and DSD filetypes The ability to access your iTunes playlists is great I hope Onkyo keeps the updates coming                 Amazing

If you have an external dac capable of DSD this app is incredible Upsamples my pcm files to DSD That alone is worth upgrading to premium on this app                 Upsample for to DSD

Ive tried many EQs for music I have others ones that are good like soundfocus zing mp3 and denon audio but this one is my favorite The quality of the sound is the best                 THE BEST

I downloaded this app because my music sounded pretty crappy in my van when playing from my iphone I was able to EQ everything easily and now it sounds much better Ill be upgrading as well so I can play my FLAC files with the app Id highly recommend this to anyone who is unsatisfied with the way their music sounds or wants to play files that Apples native music app doesnt support                 Great allaround media player Does exactly as described

I have been using this app since it was first introduced It continues to improve with every release Although it is stated to be compatible DSD128 and DSD256 are not working currently If I copy either format into the app it causes it to crash Despite that it takes everything else I throw at it and works great when paired with an outboard DAC I can use Hibiki for my DSD128 and DSD256 files until an update is posted                 Audio powerhouse with a few kinks

Got a pair of Bluedio Model B headphones for Christmas and none of the iphone presets sounded good since the headphones are very bassy I was able to create my own equalizer settings easily and now the headphones sound amazing Going back and forth between the Onkyo equalizer and the iPhone presets make you realize just how much of a difference this app makes                 Amazing Equalizer

Please add support for wave audio pack files that have an extension of wv thank you Im currently using the paid version of your app I think its fantastic Please keep improving upon it by adding support for more file formats that are not currently supported              Support for wv files

Just bought the Phillips M2L27 the new headphones with a lightning connector Then added the HD Player pack to this app all I can say is amazing Sounds better than other headphones I have costing 3 times as much At last an all digital connection                 Amazing with the right headphones

Tease wareapps that have a free version that does little so you have to pay for the real version seems all the rage in Ipad audio This may be the tease ware champ Does almost nothing in the free version Avoid the free and if you want to roll the dice on the paid version do so at your own risk     More tease ware

This has honestly taken my music listening experience to a whole new level                 Hands down awesome

first off an amazing app to play back all sort of high res files on your iPhone I played ALAC FLAC up to 24bit384kHz DSD DSF on my iPhone 6 plus via Apple Lighting USB Camera adapter on my Oppo HA1 with no problem However some bugs as with all apps If you transfer high res ALAC files like 24bit96kHz or 24bit192kHz the app will play them but it will not list them as HD tracks in the app and you have to start a guessing game which ALAC tracks that are actually high res files The same file in FLAC would show under HD tracks After you add songs to your phone in iTunes you can not delete them within iTunes You must delete them on your iPhone However when you go back into iTunes you still have all the songs listed and it seems no way to delete those entries Also there does not seem to be a easy way to contact support about problems or concerns FTP support would be nice as mentioned before Also a way to delete the Equalizer presets since they are not to my liking I understand in the free version you should be restricted If you paid for the app like I did I should be able to delete them Also maybe a nicer modern spectrum display                 Excellent App but

I started using Onkyo player years ago so that I could play native HD audio files After using it for awhile I learned to appreciate the high quality EQ and how it could compensate for the biased frequency response of my Etymotic Research in ear monitors and other output sources that needed correction without significantly degrading quality NOW that Apple has completely destroyed the ease of use of their iOS music app by clogging it up with too many features that are directed towards bringing you to their store Ive made the Onkyo HF my one and only music app Its for music lovers who appreciate quality and dont want the added complexity of Apples commercedriven UI                 My GoTo Music Player

Well it plays all your favorite hi res formats pretty well The UI is very bulkyoutdated and creating a playlist is a very confusing and disorganized process        It works

The app is really good I just miss a better design But its the best iPhone player and its free so it is totally worth it                 Excellent

I have the new iphone 6 and it seems like its not compatible with ios 81     Not able to use app in itunes to add flac files please help or refund

What a difference this app makes I have Bose wireless headphones which I love for convenience this makes them sound even Better                 EQ on Steroids
