I had used this product a lot in the past and had an excellent experience I was reminded of it recently when some apps were sucking up data at a ridiculous rate I redownloaded it and it asked for vpn I didnt think much of it at the time But now I have to fill out a captcha EVERY time I use safari I turn the VPN off in settings and it turns itself back on EVERY time Frustrating and terrible Was incredible Now its Terrible
Got the app 60 days ago and assumed I was saving a lot of data because the VPN symbol kept showing up at the top However it started causing me to enter a captcha every time I used the Internet off of wifi So I looked to see if the data it was saving me was worth the inconvenience Lo and behold when I opened the app to check it said I had saved 0mbs of data in 60 days This app is seriously pointless and will only cause inconvenience Does nothing
Ive been using onavo since iPhone 4 it worked great then and just as good on the 6 It prevents overage charges and there is literally no maintenance other than an update now and then Since its free theres no risk Why not
Worked in February and March since then nothing Sent emails for help and just get robin answer email Dont Buy Dont Buy Stopped working

I think this is one of the best VPN apps in the iTunes store and it saves a reasonable amount of data each billing cycle I have a 3 GB data plan and on average this app saves me anywhere between 6590 gigabytes of data each billing cycle I highly recommend this app Onavo extend review

This app somehow allowed a person in another country to commandeer my safari browser switching the language and taking over my google account through the VPN configured by this app I had to delete the app as well as remove the VPN configuration before I could regain control of my phone Then I change my google account password It Also caused terrible problems with any google searches forcing the captcha letters to be entering to prove I was a human This all happened about a month after installing it Never again Opened my phone to hackers

The app changes loading behavior to compress data fine enough to result in some savings But it also results in increased network requests So much so that with the version out as of August 19 that almost every Google search Ive done for the last 3 days since reinstalling it on a new iPhone has resulted in me having to enter captchas to continue using Google I deleted the VPN profile so that I wouldnt be stuck using Bing or Duck Duck Go Works but

Great app but doesnt save as much as I would like but it does the job Only reason not a 5 star review is that the VPN profile makes Google search ask me proof of being human questions Bing doesnt so I started to switch to that search provider Works mostly perfect
Not only is the price right its 100 FREE but this app reminded me that Im charged for ALL THE BANDWIDTH that I use whenever that Im not on WIFI So this app saves me from making an additional 20month contribution to ATT for exceeding their 200 MBmonth limit Great job Great App

Newest update causes repeated necessity of CAPTCHA inputs just to make Google work properly as a site That severely limits the functionality of mobile web searching Not broken but cracked
Im still not 100 sold on this app At the very least I can say that I have noticed a marginal reduction in my data usage However the majority of my data usage is via the streaming of data and music so Im not sure Im really noticing a massive reduction in use And since I have a 10GB data plan I dont monitor closely enough to notice a negligible difference Since all of the above reviews all scream professional review written by an ad agency marketing rep publicistPR or the apps creator themselves because nobody writes an actual review like that Im at a loss for of this app actually makes a difference Im going to say that it does but Ill let you do the math Jury Still Out

First Ive been a happy user for 15 years and it helps me keep my data consumption down and plan cheaper Lately Ive had full signal with VPN on and no data connection intermittent not persistent The only fix has been to turn off Onavo Hopefully there will be a fix soon Does save data Flawed lately

Normally I love this app Although lately any Google search requires passing a captcha test as they see the traffic as spam or malicious Facebookonavo should get on fixing this as its a great service but this captcha issue is annoying enough to delete the app Google search captcha issue
does this app work with wifi connection I have limited mobile wifi for only 1GBmonth so I need to compress my traffic cool app
