Phrases are so basic they are almost useless Several glitches as well Total waste of money     Pointlessly basic Doc consult

Simply not enough vocabulary for routine encounters Not even all the basics     Not enough vocabulary NMCIII

There are dozens of language apps in the app store I like this one because of it s unique way of teaching me the sentence structure and grammar of the foreign language Each time I build a phrase using the phrase buttons I have to do it in the correct order of the foreign language If that sounds complicated don t worry it s really as simple as following the numbered buttons But the learning effect of this simple mechanism should not be underestimated I also really like that the app is self contained It doesn t need an Internet connection to work This is essential when I m traveling and I don t want to pay exorbitant roaming charges just to translate a simple phrase As you can tell I m a big fan of the Odyssey Translator apps I ve been using them since they were first released on the iPhone This new update looks great with a redesigned much cleaner UI My favorite new feature is the favorites function I can add phrases that I use frequently to a favorites list that I can quickly access from anywhere in the app Very useful                     Unique way to learn a new language Nick_D

The phrase generator and icons are great The word search was not helpful as it was only English to Spanish Ordering food from a menu and reading signs was a challenge because there was no way to look up Spanish words There should also be a way to shut off the sound It was annoying to have to remember to turn the volume all the way down when in public spaces If the volume is up you end up hearing in Spanish the various phrases you are searching through                 Ok but Benny B
