Observer Pro is a groundbreaking app for advanced astronomy planning. No more guessing when that galaxy emerges from behind that pesky tree. No more estimating how many hours you`ll be able to image an object. ...
I love this app                     AWESOME APP shavuot.
Having stepped away from desktop planetarium software and backyard observing for about 15 years I m again turning my attention to it seriously I was looking for an app that would assist me in picking a site for a backyard observatory and wanted to plot my local horizon to determine what objects I d be able to observe and image I assumed I d need a desktop program to do this No Just my iPhone THIS APP IS AMAZING Not only is it incredibly useful to plot the local horizon and plan observing sessions but the visualization graphs are incredibly intuitive and useful Congratulations on an extremely well executed program I look forward to years of use Thank you                 Amazing intuitive and well executed app Three Eyed Toad
Outstanding app I love how I can trace my Tree lines I use this a lot to plan observing But I d love to see frame size field of view to see which scope would be best for a selected target My 80mm apo or My 8 RC One has focal length of 480 the other around 1500 I wish I could see the target size in my preset views I also wish the photos were in color Though that may make the app huge Still would be worth it to me as I d delete a lot of other apps for this one if expanded I also wish there was a faster way to page down through hundreds of dso s in some of the larger catalogs Flicking a finger up is tiring and slow Still works so well at helping me see what s in view I have to give 5 star rating I ve bought over a thousand apps Rarely use any one of them This is the one worth buying an apple device for I would also like to see the moon in SkyView I see the curve and the sky is not as dark but would like to see moon coming and going is it behind my tree line This is also where it would be great to zoom in on the circle in the path of sky view and see Photo of target with scope focal length size                     Feedback Needs Rojoyinc
I can t say enough good things about this app I m a budding astrophotographer and this app is what allowed me to find M81 M82 for the first time I ever tried Seriously no need to hesitate if you want to find objects in the night sky you ll want this app                     Wonderful app rottielover1979
This is my go to program to plan most observing sessions For star parties I can change the date in the app and set up the observing list weeks in advance Love having the object images offline Nicely done                     Wonderful PlanningTool AstronomerAllen
This app is amazing It tells you what are the best things to look at based on your location time moon location and best of all you own custom horizon for many locations You can record your observations and plan out what to look at that night for on a future date I will use this often                     Must buy for any observer Bdwg838383
Hands down the best planner on the market I was so bummed lost when it was down due to an update Searched and searched for an alternative to no avail It came back Thankyou It surpassed the pocket sky atlas I m sitting in my living room watching TV as my objects present themselves on the visibility charts Headed out soon Again thankyou                     Observer Dk self
I just started using ObserverPro and I have to say that it is impressive During the day I use it to plan out my viewing for the upcoming night The graphs and reference data is amazing I really like the weather interface I was not clear on the symbols used for the GUI so I contacted the author of ObserverPro He replied back in a timely manner and gave me the information I needed All in all I am very happy with this application                     Great planning tool Jim_in_Texas
Easy to use planning for viewing and the adjustable horizon is awesome Great work                     Perfection for planning Kriptyc
I ve used Observer Pro for several years and was delighted to find the updated new V 1 2 Now I ve been able to upgrade my iPad IOS without losing Observer Pro functionality This is the simplest yet most comprehensive astro planning tool I ve found for anywhere in the world I use it at home in New Hampshire and on imaging trips in Chile It provides basic data including size and current transit time a photo visibility charts by hour on any given day month or year taking moon phase into account months of optimal visibility and sky location for every object in the NGC IC Messier and Herschel catalogs There s a somewhat hidden object search function at the top of the Catalogs menu I particularly like the new Featured option in the catalogs which selects all visible objects for a given date and location The define your own horizon feature is also very handy                     Best AstroImaging Observing Planning Tool NH Bob
The app is simple compared with many of the Windows observation planning applications but it does exactly what I need It provides an easy to use view of what objects are above my local horizon it lets you easily produce a local horizon file using the iPhone camera and also shows viewing conditions for the object taking into account daylight and moonlight These last two capabilities are great and are things my windows observation planning apps cannot do Well worth the price for this app                     Valuable astronomy observation planning app Bullmastiff12345
I love the availability feature and search ability A must have app for any astrophographer or visual Viewer who hasn t learned to read the stars                     Looking for an easy way to find tonight s targets Circpro

By far the single best tool in an amateur astronomer s pocket Absolutely love how it allows you to draw a mask for the obstacles in your viewing location and plan sightings accordingly Fantastic                     Amazing Amazing App Ag718
Thanks for updating this FANTASTIC app to iOS 8 9                     THANK YOU pjglad
As an amateur astronomer with a nice telescope but a limited view from my location this app has been invaluable in locating deep space objects to observe I was totally bummed out when my ISO update made it unusable and I thank you for the recent update that has restored my favorite app GREAT                     I love this app KenfromNH

First got this to use with my 6 reflector the app s ability to show you what objects would be up and which would be blocked on your local horizon trees etc was very useful and worth the cost of the app alone My one regret about that feature especially with the 6 was that the app catalogued only deep sky objects and not individual stars given my limited aperture then and that I was mostly under suburban light pollution most of my observing was of binary stars The simple workaround was to find an NGC or Messier object near the star I wanted and voila Now that I have a 12 scope and I can properly see the deep sky objects this app was built for I can fully appreciate everything it does the app s visibility charts clearly show how well a given object can be seen at a given date and time because of more or less interference from moonlight object altitude etc and they are both accurate and indispensable Also a summarized graphical version of the visibility info is available right in the object list so it s easy to tell at a glance which objects will be visible and when and a sortable list lets you use the information to best advantage If you re already familiar with an object you ll be observing Ring Nebula Whirlpool Galaxy etc and can find it on your own then this app will provide about all the info you need to see it at its best If not it makes for a perfect combination with SkySafari each app providing what the other doesn t To the creator of this app bravo and thank you                     Brilliant app logical fellow
10 and no updates How about some sharpless catalogues or an option to download comets and satellites I just feel like i would have been better off with the orion app which controls your telescope as well Please bring us more catalogues             Ehhh Gondokolokococoa
I love the app Very useful and well presented information Please update it for iPhone 5 s screen size and a retina display I bought this app thinking that it already was updated for my phone I am also looking forward to an iPad release                 Great app Needs an update rathijit
Extraordinarily useful app for preparing to view common objects I don t know we managed to do this before Observer Pro arrived Indispensable                     Extraordinary jtfunai
This app is great Especially for the dark sky enthusiasts It gives you all the necessary tools to find those deep sky hard to find objects I have other night sky apps but this one Rules over the rest Finally There an app that is easy and fun to use for us nighttime observers                     Great app Astro Ed
This app is really good except for one thing nowhere to enter observing notes or information Such as seeing conditions transparency and cloud cover It would also be nice to make comments or impressions on each object viewed Overall this a great tool for the active observer Just add in the ability to make notes and it would be a 5 star app all the way                 Needs One More Piece To Be Great Scopefreak1959
If you have a goto scope and an iphone this program is all you need to find the best objects to look at on any given night now or in the distant future It is simple and easy to use also The price is good too Don t even bother paying big money for a planetarium program like skyview or starmap if you have a goto scope i bought both and this program makes them obselete Just get this and you ll have all you need except for the info on the planets Cheers Aaron                     Great program Pineknotpineknot
This is a great informative app for any amateur astronomer                     Excellent KyleRosenbluth27
It does what it says and more A great observing assistant simple to use and cleverly designed to meet the observing needs of beginners and pros alike I had a problem during installation that was not related to the app and Josh got back to me in a matter of hours with the solution The graphics are not as exciting on the iPad but the creator is working on a new ver 2 0 that will take better advantage of the iPad display However there is no need to wait since the new version will be a free upgrade                     Great App Mnofi
Totally worth the 10 one of the best astronomy apps out there If you are an observational astronomer you will use this app every time you observe Gives you an amazing amount of information about an object s visibility at a glance The object images themselves are worth the cost but there is so much more The ability to enter multiple observing sites and enter and save multiple horizons is fantastic I m totally psyched that version 2 0 as a native iPad app will be forthcoming soon This app and SkySafari are all you need for planning an observing run when using an iPad or iPhone I use both platforms Thanks for a fantastic app                     Fantastic App AstroDr.
Good site for night planning                     Awesome Kightdl
The interface is simple yet conveys a huge amount of info at a glance I especially love being able to input the local horizon for any observing site just by tracing it out with my phone The access to online catalogs is also excellent For the future I would love to be able to sync with Astroplanner on my laptop but this is already a great app and a valuable planning tool                     Simply excellent BYUnoDVD
Great app best one for planning nights out and star gazing                     Great Luke-e-bb
Get it Current catalogs and pics great Always want more but this solid When you tweak it it would be great to get a user entry catalog Simple coding should be easy Getting screen to auto rotate would be good too I have a 42 in dob so a way to sort objects by azimuth would be handy to minimize ladder moves Transit time sort gets me 90 percent there Always want more this is great work Get it Find the big scope at OSP to checkout the whole rig                     Get it Voodochild
