Electronic-media technology has now made it possible for NRA E-Media to bring back the hot-selling Ultimate Gun Guide, the most ambitious guidebook to contemporary guns ever produced at the time of its original publication in ...
I always support NRA but this guide needs a lot of improvements Should not be charged any fee yet to avoidcreat any complains and disappointment     Needs improvement
The design layout to use this app is pretty lame They dont even have all the current models of major manufacturers like Ruger Hopefully itll get improved down the road At this point I doubt Ill use it for any reason     Disappointed
Should be free until it gets anywhere near useful App has a long way to go You can find more information quicker by just doing a safari search        Great IdeaBut needs work
Dont buy this app unless they update it The graphics are TERRIBLE Update button isnt working at all and there is minimal info on the guns If the NRA doesnt update the app with a few videos and reviews of the guns you can save your 3 bucks Sincerely an American pro NRA shooting instructor     Im disappointed
It would be helpful to have reviews how each compares possible user reviews to get an idea how the gun compares Would also like a section of new guns introduced in each year           Would like to see review of each gun
And NRA Endowment Member NRA Recruiter and NRA Certified Instructor In numerous disciplines I feel that I can give an honest review of an NRA product I found this to be woefully in adequate for all but the most basic of users needs take handguns for instance in the Glock section they have three are you serious NRA three of the most common handguns used and did you choose the three most common such as the 19 17 and possibly 22 or even 23 Of the three Glock youve included in this you did pick the 17th a very popular handgun however you also selected the 37 a strange and unusual firearm a bike lock firing a boutique cartridge most people know very little about as a Glock Armorer Ive never seen one outside of educational materials This program in its current state is practically unusable information given is utterly basic and the limit of the total quantity of firearms listed and the respective data is woefully inadequate I dont claim to be a software engineer and do not know what is involved In the creation of an iOS app however the NRA is a large organization with considerable logistic capabilities this work is beneath what I would expect from an organization Known to have consistently high standards and highquality I would hope NRA will read this review as well as many others and in doing so make an immediate frequent and effective changes to make this app all that he can and should be considering that it is a product of the National Rifle Association        Shameful
I want my money back There are not comparisons and no data other than standard specs     Dont bother
What more do u want for the price A great quick reference for guns and price                 Great start
Many functions dont even work Many guns arent even listed Like everything thing else the NRA does its designed to get your money     Worst App Ive Seen
This a nice app for the gun buyer however I feel that guns that are out of production should be in a separate catagory              A good start
This is so poorly produced its a shame that it is associated with the NRA The interface is akin to a bad websitenot applike at all And it gets worse since the app is virtually emptyfor instance it only has three Glocks in the database     Save your money
I stupidly elected to ignore the reviews and purchased this anyway Dumb move The database is so extremely limited its ridiculous Example searched for Glock 3 hits Searched for FNAR nothing found Worthless     Worthless
This is not the horrible app some people are claiming There are a ton of guns besides just 1911s and ar15s Some improvements I would recommend are a sortable checklist search where you can check the caliber as well as the type of action or the manufacturer etc another pitfall is that its ony for iPhone This would be much nicer if it was iPad compatible Its a great start guys Keep developing and adding info and guns to it Btw I immediately did the update and that added over 300 new firearms to the database Jason           Pretty good great with some improvements
If this app was free I would have deleted that version also Very little info And it wont update     Little info
Ive been waiting for this app for a few months now I think its a great idea to have a Gun Guide on your phone Especially for me since Im an NRA Instructor I will be able to show my students different guns that may fit their needs This app is pretty good it doesnt have all the guns yet and I think they should list the guns by manufacture instead of a general list But hopefully that will come in time Dont forget to join the NRA                 Nice app
The graphics are horrible the worst Ive seen in several years on the iPhone But more importantly several of the buttons like the update one dont work On top of that the gun selections are far from complete and the info it gives you on a gun is minimal Use the similar feature and you find that a KelTec and a Glock are one in the same And try to find a 357 using the advanced search The search wheel will just spin forever I had high hopes for this app but as of right now its worthless     Poor design and limited selection
We know that it may be hard to include many guns but if you want this app to be anything near useful it should at least include 50 of the current guns made after WW II or whatever date that you choose Plenty of weapons missing including my favorite FNH FiveseveN you cant add FNH under handguns without mentioning this beast        Not At All Comprehensive
This app is totally useless My first search was a Glock 19 NOT FOUND that should say it all I wish I would have read the reviews first Shame on The NRA they got me     UselessWaste
Ive never written a review for an app but felt compelled to here This app at least in its current state is absolute crap I cant believe I paid 3 bucks for this The interface is not user friendly there really isnt a whole lot you can do with it and the catalog of weapons is extremely sparse Disappointing is not nearly strong enough to describe this app I expected more MUCH more     Waste of
They really need to upgrade their list of guns     Way behind the times
Incomplete Not user friendly No useful information Cant believe NRA would support this     Dont bother
This app is horrible Its cheap and the info is minimal I would not recommend this app to anyone I would recommend you save your money     Dont buy this app
I buy the gun guide in print as a resource for buying guns and thought that this app would be a great mobile version to have I was wrong this is horrible and I regret spending the money to buy it I own some of the most common and popular firearms on the planet and have yet to find a single one on this app The search function does not filter results even after you go through all the trouble to set them up Right now I give this only one star in hopes that it will get better     Very disappointed
DO NOT BUY LESS THAN USELESS Downloaded to my iPhone 4S Based on another review I downloaded available updates within the application then attempted advanced search against all Glock models in current production App hung up during search After several trys waiting approximately 30 minutes each the app was still spinning its wheels no results at all Reset app multiple times each requiring multiple RESET button clicks Rebooted phone etc Same result SHOULD RATE ZERO s     NRA Benefactor
After paying the 200 downloading the NRA appI want my 200 back If this is the best you guys can do its kinda sad     What
This app needs a lot of improvement If they start putting older guns and make it kind of like the shooters bible I know a lot more people will like it I bought it because I wanted to see what it is like The layout is decent but does need a little work I hope the company reads the reviews and takes in the knowledge of the users and makes it work for them in a way they will expand this app        Decent
This app is of little use to anyone except those in need of basic information about some models of new firearms Those who want to know info and pricing of military surplus and relic firearms will find nothing For example a search for Mosin Nagant or 1903 Springfield turns up no results My guess is that the app is sponsored by manufacturers of new firearms        Paltry information and very commercial
I figured Id give the app a try despite some not so nice reviews figuring worst case at least Im supporting the NRA but I have to say Im very pleased with the app vast archive and easy to use Dont know if the old version of the app was bad but I would defiantly recommend it                 Nice app great fast reference
Pretty weak listings So far it lacks specs of any kind on some of the most common firearms on the planet Overall its a slide show of domestic ARs and 1911s not what I was hoping to get        Not useful
Limited number of guns its new Could be more info overall dimensions More pictures has just one each gun Like the link to website I want sections likefull sizecompact subcompact for the pistols and a little description of what the gunrifle offers Over all needs work and scrolling is annoying because it changes back too easily if you move your finger in the x direction at all fix that for sure              Quantity not quality
I paid for this app and had it on my device and now it is gone and it wants me to re buy it I have the receipt from ITunes Whats up with that     App is gone after buying
App is very informative however i have found some problems such as the Rossi Plinker revolver was located in the leveraction rifle category and the picture of the Ithaca Deerslayer II was a 870              Good app
Although there is nothing wrong with the content of this app it is just not very indepth I didnt expect complete write up on every gun ever made but it is really light on content and not very up to date Not even a complete listing of current production guns from major manufactures Hopefully it will be updated and improved and they will keep adding more guns Very disappointing           only for beginners
Ive been reading all the hype about this app for MONTHS in my NRA magazines Been seeing the ads for this upcoming app on Facebook Ive been anxiously awaiting this app because I thought it would be really cool to have a thousand page reference book in my hand that never became obsolete and provided me with the instant access to all the pricing and spec data for virtually any gun on demand But for all the MONTHS of hype this is the best you can do I understand its an initial offering that will be getting updated but with all the lead in time for this I cant believe this is the best you could do We have rudimentary basic info on the guns you have listed and from what I can see you have a poor listing of guns I searched for M1 Garand and got NOTHING Really Are you joking You didnt think to include the greatest battle implement ever made in your initial offering on this app I searched for Glock and I got 3 guns 3 guns Made by Glock And not one of them was their signature model Glock19 Youve GOT TO BE KIDDING I can only hope that as I type there is some room full of geeks somewhere feverishly working to include more data more guns and making this app worth the 300 If I dont start seeing at least WEEKLY updates showing constant improvement on this app Im gonna be talking to someone at the NRA about refunding my 300 Because as it is this app aint worth 3 BUCKS By the way Im an Endowment member of the NRA a strong supporter of the NRA and 300 lost wont bankrupt me But after all the hype the NRA has shoved at me about this app for the last several months I sure expected better than this from my NRA     Youve GOT to be KIDDING
Very limited but useful in that if I dont find what I want it will quickly connect to manufacturers web site I used it for a couple months then it stopped working I want my money back        Member
Please up date I feel like it was a big waste of money a bit mad with all the money and info they have they can at least have more guns     Update
Im disappointed that the NRA would put something this bad out and charge for it Maybe if they had 4 times the guns that are up now i would pay a dollar Not 3     Not even if it were free
I select apps I pay for carefully This is why when I was looking for a gun guide I chose the NRA guide It has reputation clout youd think they would the best job I want a refund This app blows Minimal selection search is inaccurate specs are meager and only a tiny fraction of guns have a short blurb of a few sentences For a 3 app this is pretty much useless Extra disappointed because this is the NRA offering     Disappointing does not begin to cover it
They should just ask for donation because there is Noting to this very few guns to compare you type in a search and it cant be foundJust throw away 300 bucks and safe your space on your phone for real apps     waste
