If you like to read CascadeOlympic Natural History and I do youll like this Unfortunately I was looking for more of a regional field guide more along the lines of Oregon and Washington Wildflowers apps One photo per entry not necessarily the most useful for ID Descriptions are botanical detail And one particular oddity if you search on red alder there are no results if you search on alder you get sitka and white alder There is an entry for red alder but it cant be found via the search function If this carries over toothed common species and I havent run into another its a real problem If trying to distinguish small red alder from oceanspray with info here cant readily be done If you click on the Report a Problem link youll find that Earthrover Software cannot be found           Disappointed
Excellent app This app packs a combo punch of knowledge and anecdotes that makes learning fun                 Well done
I work as a naturalist in the Pacific Northwest and work with kids and adults year round It can be hard to convince some people to carry a field guide with them on a hike or on a backpacking trip Most people are still willing to carry their smartphone and this app along with NW Mountain Wildflowers is a great way for people to ID the flora they encounter as well as all of the other interesting information that is included in these apps It is organized well and covers a big enough area I love the fact that it works just a well east of the Cascades as it does West of the Cascades two very different habitats If you are not familiar with Daniel Mathews books they are worth picking up along with this app very solid information is provided in an entertaining format                 Great addition to the NW Mountain Wildflowers app
Easy to use and tons of interesting info and photos of each species This is a great pocket book Well done                 Great info
Along with Northwest Mountain Wildflowers this app is the perfect companion to your mountain natural history rambles Great for ID but goes far beyond in a literate welcoming way Wonderful short essays complement photos info on range and habitat I found it intuitive and easy to use Saul Weisberg executive director North Cascades Institute                 Outstanding companion in the field
Looks like a good app but hangs very often in iOS8 Basically unusable as a result     Hangs regularly in iOS 8
