Secret weapon for my studio Don t tell anyone                     Very good Nitpick Pete
One of my favs Excellent presets and fun to program Always sounds great                     Awesome synthuser
One of the first and one of the best                     Fully powered Long words
It s a very slick presentation with awesome sounds and lots of features to tweak and play with I ve only scratched the surface of it Hopefully it will continue to be maintained                     Great app MarshallRoss
I can t believe there s no other reviews here for this fantastic app It s Audiobus compatible and has a pretty decent collection of synth sounds an unbelievably nice package for iOS synth noodlers and for 2 bucks It s a crazy good deal I ve already used it with GarageBand and it worked and sounded great Get this app now                     Awesome app Rick57
Stable often updated plays VERY nice with other apps One of my first iOS synths and the one I keep coming back to No frills interface kind of old school but works for me Great work thanks to the developers for keeping this wonderful synth always up to date                     The One I Keep Coming Back To AndreXuxu
This was one of the first apps I got after purchasing my iPad It as been one of my favorite apps It has a lot of presets plus a simple way to make new sounds as its pages follow the signal path I had a great time using NLog as an effects app with Audiobus on a drum app and record to another app It just works So this app has been here almost forever but in my opinion it should be one of your top 10 iOS synth purchases                     A Veteran App That Keeps With The Times C3l3$t1n0
and it stays in the go to group Good stuff I love adding additional effects to the sounds I come up with but many times I do not even need to                     Owned it for over two years sobriquetShard
Incredibly full featured synth with lots of parameters effects features Got Audiobus support full recording ability and more Awesome sounds                     Well worth the money Paul Eccles
My first iOS synth and still one of my favorites and I think I have them all Great flexibility with the LFOs plenty of oscillators Many great presets and the ability to design a wide range of sounds                     So much flexibility and great sound John in MA
Amimoog and NLog are the two best synths out there for iOS Hands down                     My other favorite synth Robert McVey
Avid Bought DigiDesign                     iLok ThymmeKeeeper
I ve had Nlog for a while now and have had a difficult time writing a review Nlog is one of the greatest iOS synths without a doubt The synthesis engine is wonderful and Nlog is feature packed I ve never had a single issue with it In the rare instance that a bug is introduced it is fixed quickly In fact when I have a problem with another music app getting its audio to point B Nlog is the first place that I go to see if it has some feature to help me work around it It plays so well with everything And as new music app standards emerge for iOS Nlog is at the front of the line to get them implemented Audiocopy Audiobus virtual midi etc Despite all of this greatness I rarely launch it for use as a sound synthesizer and I think it boils down to the UI I sort of feel like I m putting on my engineering hat rather than my musician hat when I use it and the engineering hat is more useful when I m in the mix master phase of work than in the song writing phase So if there is an area to give Nlog some love this is it at least for me I think more people would purchase it If you haven t purchased it you probably should If you re serious about producing music on iPad Nlog will probably bail you out of a jam at some point And it does sound great                     Pure awesome just needs SuperNiCd
Why does it leave a task bar at the top of my iPad screen that says it s recording every time I open the program I can t get rid of this unless I turn the iPad completely off Very aggravating         Recording won t stop uhdum
This was one of my favorite go to for inspiration ARP s Since the previous update whenever a note is touched or played on the keyboard it crashes Why Very frustrating and wrong Please fix it     Crash uuuugghhhh untrained ear
Presets are poorly named and uninspiring Could be better It s been ages and the interface hasn t gotten any love from the developers         Uninspiring presets Oioi u
I have nothing bad to say awesome on every level                     Awesome Uprightmusic
I use this app all the time The sounds are amazing and they can be tweaked to any sound you can need or want I personally own a moog synthesizer and honestly the sounds in this app rival it                     Wow (:@;((?
BUT the app crashes and will never work with the dm 1 drum machine for me             Unbelievable synthesis Tree search
NLog was one of the first synth apps for iOS and is still one of the best The programmer has a deep understanding of sound and sound algorithms and he has continued to refine his apps with more features and more efficiency For example there are lots of music apps that can upload recordings TO SoundCloud but how many are there that can download a recording FROM SoundCloud and either play it in the background or copy it to the clipboard You can complain about the way patches are organized by author instead of type but not about the actual sound Another feature that serious musicians will appreciate NLog knows that it s not the only music app on your iPod or iPad so it works smoothly with other instruments and controllers such as Geo Cantor SoundPrism ThumbJam Little MIDI Machine or Genome MIDI Sequencer The new MIDI Learn feature is marvelous In five minutes I mapped nine knobs and nine sliders on a Korg nanoKontrol that I purchased on eBay for about US 30 and plugged into a Camera Connection Kit CCK Makes it very easy to experiment with fine adjustments to filter cutoff resonance LFO frequency envelope glide whatever you want to play with                     Power refinement David Wilson-Okamura
I think this synthesizer is overrated I dislike the UI mostly             Uhhhh Joe X7
I own maybe 12 softsynths including the Moog Filtatron and Korg iMS 20 and while those are fine NLogSynth beats them all by a wide margin Great sound great settings great presets great app                     Outstanding Sisawat
Sounds amazing but not much use for production without multi combos It should be able to save multi timbral setups as multis so you can recall for your sequences Be on the edge and add this before everybody else I think sampletank is the only one with this right now                 Add multi timbral and is a 5 j. Lagares
First of all this synth sounds awesome and has more than enough power for anything you could want There s nothing not to like on paper However the way it s laid out with everything on multiple pages kind of wears on me It s just not all that fun to use even though it sounds great and has tons of useful options I don t regret buying it I ll definitely use it but I find myself gravitating to sunrizer and getting lost in it and inspired by it where this synth just feels like a tool                 Powerful but slow to use nordical
I ve been playing synthesizers for nearly 40 years and own most of the ios synths Hands down this is the best all around synthesizer in the iPad universe I can t wait to see the new collaboration between TempoRubato and Waldorf                     Take it from a pro WVWRX
If you own an iPad you MUST buy this synth it is foolish not to Worth every penny The developer knows what he is doing and is VERY active in the iOS community The synth is so customizable and easily so It is easy to dial up any tone you want from this synth with even the most basic synthesizer knowledge Pair this up with your favorite Midi keyboard controller and things just get better and better Also the ability to midi control other apps is fantastic Thanks for all the hard work                     MUST own iPad synth JonnHatch
Besides nlog synth being the most powerful synth app I ve found I still love my korg ims20 app too it has some very key features to the iOS audiophile first being it supports audio copy paste please don t bother buying an app unless it does at least audio copy paste if you want to engineer in the palm of your hand that s what you need not more wires and referring back to the luggable second it can retrieve wav files from your email so you can make use of any apps you may have that only support email export dm 1 dum machine just got smarter now that you have nlog synth and then use nlog synths audio copy paste to export into your DAW that should support audio copy paste I love my m audio keystation mini 32 and my camera connector kit as well Hope this helps                     The iOS audio engineering app that will bring it all together Max Schmidt
I highly recommend this app for making music The sound quality is superb and the interface is very user friendly This app works quite well on its own and gets even better when you add other apps such as drum machines into the mix Let the cork sniffing synth snobs get tangled up in their cords this is music creation realized in a 21st century way Keep up the great work                     A powerful and flexible synth Draal
I am in love with his tool it works well and u have many options the sounds is off the hook and u have all u need to make your own sound crazy indeed                     Love it Elo The Source
I am relatively new at this and was having difficulty finding my way until I tried this app and the Mac OS standalone version Ideal for learning my way around synth world Easy to isolate various components to see how each functions Obviously I am only scratching the surface of this synth and look forward to a long and interesting experience with it Also Rolf and company are very helpful and responsive Geo                     Great synth for learning Geo9999
Bought both the standalone and the iPad version Have tried a LOT of other synths but always come back to NLog When working with the AU I find myself with at least 2 or 3 instances in my compositions A MUST for anyone creating music Only noise free background synth that doesn t glitch                     Hands down the best iPad synth Dr.Stressed
Amazing program I can use my USB EWI with a powered USB port and the iPad camera connection kit With an endless supply of synth sounds and super low latency I was able to ditch the required computer for my USB EWI This app even allows you to customize the midi controller so that the app responds to breath velocity After spending over a 100 on synth apps I finally found the one app that fully supports the EWI                     Works great with USB EWI Altosaxplayer01
Like it                     Good app Bad Watch
Application of highly specialized organ full featured I like very much                     Great app RxU_II
I love this synth it is very flexible being both subtractive VA Wavetable based So no one trick pony It sounds as good as any VA you can go buy in hardware form for much much more It works with midi and VMidi and Network Midi and background audio in short the Dev keeps up with iOS innovations and seams to like plying well with others He is also a nice guy and prompt with tech support too as I have found out Looking forward to what s ever next                     Great very Flexible synth DeathByMedia
I bought the ims20 at 50 off And was disapointed This one at normal price is so much better Great presets Poly Has it all                     Music maker Rojoyinc
I heard Rolf the developer of this app on Ep 1 of Touch Sound podcast and was impressed enough to purchase NLogSynth Pro NLogPoly I think it sounds amazing especially for warm vintage style patches Being able to program and tweak on the iPad share patches with the desktop version and sequence using the AU plug in is brilliant Add AirPlay output and I ll find a way to add a sixth star                     Excellent Synth Archibald Tuttle
I have almost every iOS synth out there This one disappoints The presets are waaay to effected Arps are kind of lame No alternate knob controls linear vs rotary Interface is unnecessarily cluttered Midi is clunky Presets are cryptically named Horizon synth is cheaper and better sounding with a very clean interface iMS 20 is better value and better sounding Too expensive for an amateur synth like this             Not great Disappointed vrumjaago
I ve been using NLog Pro for almost a year now and with each update it s gotten better and better It takes a bit more work to get a really alive sound out of it than iMS 20 but when you do get that sound it s polyphonic something iMS 20 unfortunately can t do Currently I ve done a bit of tweaking with all four oscillators to produce a fairly realistic small pipe organ with each oscillator being a stop on the organ What I d love to see is more oscillators to produce an even bigger bolder sound I m talking Deep Note big                     Powerful but with some untapped potential Firepower for Freedom
I have the Korg iMS 20 and this and the Korg blows this one completely out of the water as far as sound quality goes The presets on this synth are horrible The biggest problem is this synth has absolutely no punch or life or anything exciting soundwise It s just dead sounding I regret making the purchase             Not worth the high SRosewood
I can t believe what this thing can do like a 2 000 synth in your iPad                     Amazing Synth F2959
I have them all and this is the best Wonderful fat synths dreamy pads Compares to all the best true analog synths My most used for sound design and loop creation synth                     Hands down the best synth in the app store rhanline
title says it all                     amazing these guys set the standard The Hierophant
Great sounds despite what some say but it s a synth so you program your own sounds That s where this app excels Easy and fun to tweak and good effects Really really really pretty please I hope they come out with a sequencer for this I would gladly pay I bought this to make my own loops and that would be a great addition With a midi controller this would be an awesome sound module                 Good program Cthulhu187
Great synth Midi in using camera connection powered USB hub and USB midi keyboard Plays flawlessly Just jamed all night plugged into pa with live drummer Turns iPad into live synth Great sounds very playable very low latency I can t say enough good things I am very happy performance was equal to NI s soft synths on my laptop                     Just what I wanted Karmasoniq
This may just be my individual response to this but nonetheless i feel that the community should be made aware of my verdict Right off the top I ll let you know that i own a Roland JP8000 a Korg Electribe and a Roland JV1080 Additionally i have the Sylenth1 plugin for logic If you are someone who expects similar quality of sound in this application let me tell you that you won t find it I found the sounds to be rather 2 Dimensional so to speak They lacked the appropriate requirements i had in mind for any synthesizer Software or Hardware Sure the interface was not too bad looking but i felt that what i heard did not compare to anything i already own I would like to see the day where the ipad can store things such as a Sylenth1 Application or other assorted soft synths in existance Not mere toys claiming to be in the same league As far as synth apps go i will say that this is most likely one of the best you will find but it is not enough for people like me Please take this into consideration and remember you may not feel the same as i do Please respect my opinion as I respect yours P S Sound aside i found the knobs very difficult to operate with any sort of accuracy in mind It may take getting used to in order to properly adjust parameters         Synth Enthusiasts Beware DLovas
This is the best thing the IPad has seen With the midi moralizer i can use my iPad as a module and utilize everything the synthesizer can do The only thing i would ad is more performance nobs so Can assign more controllable nobs for my midi controller This is amazing                     Absolutely amazing Seth Waters
Good supports Core Midi so I can plug in a USB keyboard and jam out Well thought out design Poly synth option is cool Bad the default synth patches are TERRIBLE Like seriously you don t get it they re really bad You are forced to create your own which is a pain Stock synths are unusable unless you re a 50 year old Jean Michel Jarre fan Otherwise no no no If this app came with at least one non over the top cheesy synth patch then it d give a 4 even 5 But as it stands this app is a pass Makes one wish Argon had an iPad app             It s okay Plinko4567890
Stable often updated plays VERY nice with other apps One of my first iOS synths and the one I keep coming back to No frills interface kind of old school but works for me Great work thanks to the developers for keeping this wonderful synth always up to date                 The One I Keep Coming Back To

Best Ipad Synth By Far                 Oh Yeah
I highly recommend this app for making music The sound quality is superb and the interface is very user friendly This app works quite well on its own and gets even better when you add other apps such as drum machines into the mix Let the cork sniffing synth snobs get tangled up in their cords this is music creation realized in a 21st century way Keep up the great work                 A powerful and flexible synth
BUT the app crashes and will never work with the dm1 drum machine for me           Unbelievable synthesis
Great synth Midi in using camera connection powered USB hub and USB midi keyboard Plays flawlessly Just jamed all night plugged into pa with live drummer Turns iPad into live synth Great sounds very playable very low latency I cant say enough good things I am very happy performance was equal to NIs soft synths on my laptop                 Just what I wanted

I cant believe what this thing can do like a 2000 synth in your iPad                 Amazing Synth
Just what I was waiting for and now with the ability to hook up my MIDI controller almost perfect Five stars for its present state will be worth six if a couple things can be done 1 visual feedback of MIDI activity as flashing LED and moving controllers and keys think Reason 2 if Apple have allowed this would be great to continue playing in the background while a score sheet app is in the foreground                 The Best Synth
This may just be my individual response to this but nonetheless i feel that the community should be made aware of my verdict Right off the top Ill let you know that i own a Roland JP8000 a Korg Electribe and a Roland JV1080 Additionally i have the Sylenth1 plugin for logic If you are someone who expects similar quality of sound in this application let me tell you that you wont find it I found the sounds to be rather 2 Dimensional so to speak They lacked the appropriate requirements i had in mind for any synthesizer Software or Hardware Sure the interface was not too bad looking but i felt that what i heard did not compare to anything i already own I would like to see the day where the ipad can store things such as a Sylenth1 Application or other assorted soft synths in existance Not mere toys claiming to be in the same league As far as synth apps go i will say that this is most likely one of the best you will find but it is not enough for people like me Please take this into consideration and remember you may not feel the same as i do Please respect my opinion as I respect yours PS Sound aside i found the knobs very difficult to operate with any sort of accuracy in mind It may take getting used to in order to properly adjust parameters        Synth Enthusiasts Beware

Like it                 Good app
My first iOS synth and still one of my favorites and I think I have them all Great flexibility with the LFOs plenty of oscillators Many great presets and the ability to design a wide range of sounds                 So much flexibility and great sound

Not sure what happened recent upgrade now this app crashes before opening           Crash

Great sounding and intuitive synth And Ive been able to drive it externally from a keyboard and a Roland guitar synth I have many synths but this makes sounds I cannot get any other way In an extremely portable fashion                 Excellent Synth
NLog was one of the first synth apps for iOS and is still one of the best The programmer has a deep understanding of sound and sound algorithms and he has continued to refine his apps with more features and more efficiency For example there are lots of music apps that can upload recordings TO SoundCloud but how many are there that can download a recording FROM SoundCloud and either play it in the background or copy it to the clipboard You can complain about the way patches are organized by author instead of type but not about the actual sound Another feature that serious musicians will appreciate NLog knows that its not the only music app on your iPod or iPad so it works smoothly with other instruments and controllers such as Geo Cantor SoundPrism ThumbJam Little MIDI Machine or Genome MIDI Sequencer The new MIDI Learn feature is marvelous In five minutes I mapped nine knobs and nine sliders on a Korg nanoKontrol that I purchased on eBay for about US30 and plugged into a Camera Connection Kit CCK Makes it very easy to experiment with fine adjustments to filter cutoff resonance LFO frequency envelope glide whatever you want to play with                 Power refinement

I am relatively new at this and was having difficulty finding my way until I tried this app and the Mac OS standalone version Ideal for learning my way around synthworld Easy to isolate various components to see how each functions Obviously I am only scratching the surface of this synth and look forward to a long and interesting experience with it Also Rolf and company are very helpful and responsive Geo                 Great synth for learning

This was one of the first apps I got after purchasing my iPad It as been one of my favorite apps It has a lot of presets plus a simple way to make new sounds as its pages follow the signal path I had a great time using NLog as an effects app with Audiobus on a drum app and record to another app It just works So this app has been here almost forever but in my opinion it should be one of your top 10 iOS synth purchases                 A Veteran App That Keeps With The Times
Ive been using NLog Pro for almost a year now and with each update its gotten better and better It takes a bit more work to get a really alive sound out of it than iMS20 but when you do get that sound its polyphonicsomething iMS20 unfortunately cant do Currently Ive done a bit of tweaking with all four oscillators to produce a fairly realistic small pipe organ with each oscillator being a stop on the organ What Id love to see is more oscillators to produce an even bigger bolder sound Im talking Deep Note big                 Powerful but with some untapped potential
