Learn how to use your Nikon D90 camera from the world's most respected instructor: Ken Rockwell, who is world-renowned for his online, plain English guides to using popular cameras and photographic gear. Ken takes you through ...
Great application which helps me remember what the plethora of menus and options in my D90 do I am reasonably comfortable with exposureapetureAEL etc settings but find the app really helpful in order to remind me of the different creative options available in the D90 The app itself is very slick and easy to navigate A must have app for only 5 not much when you consider how much one at least in my case spends on the cameralenses etc The idea with this app is to have info in the field when you dont have a paper copy of the online guide or a computer to access the paper guide Dont buy it if you want new information beyond the online guide This is clearly a point of contention for some reviewers who rate the app poorly because they expect new information Highly recommended                 Great mobile suplement to website guide
I am a KenRockwell websites fan and as a D90 owner I was waiting for this App so much I am disappointed because I used to read KenRockwells website on the iPhone and well it is almost the same There is a summary some pictures but most of the content has to be accessed via links Does not worth the price there is no added value in comparison to the regular website        No real added value
The author talks more about leaving everything in auto mode and less about what the features doBacking it up by quiping that its not the 1980s After seeing the photo of him and his child I realized that he was truly s tool and felt sorry for the poor kid I want my 500 back     What a tool
Great referance Im happy to pay the Ken is a wealth of knowledge                 Great Buy it
This information is all available for free on the website What a waste     Waste of 5
I waited anxiously for this app having previously read the Guide online Chock full of useful information at your fingertips without the bulk of a paperback Money well spent expertly written Guide that I would recommend to anyone who owns the Nikon D90 Buy it you wont be sorry                 Nikon D90
This ebook is more opinion than instruction and that is narrow to boot     More ego than help
Ken Rockwells website is a real jewel for the Nikon user and here are all of his tips opinions and insights packaged for my iPod I see some reviewers grousing that he not giving them much more then what he offers them for free on his hugely useful website To the degree that that is true it says more about how great the site is then anything else                 Great Resource For the D90
Its exactly what it is for a guide Its not a tutorial but I still learned a lot Thanks Ken                 Looking forward to more updates
This guide is decent for a someone thats new to the nikon lineup But this app isnt worth 5 dollars Add more content to this app or youll goto 1 star        Needs more
Its a great app but it would be so much better if it had some How To info I wish it would have more tips on how to do things I know is a D90 Guide but for 499 it should have more info It is very basic info that most comes free on the Nikon Free app If it was 199 or even 299 it would be fine Please update and add more advance info and may be some video tips on how to really take full use of your D90 then it would really be a app              Needs more info
I find this very useful I wish there was an iPad version so the app took advantage of the larger display I know some people have a problem with Ken Rockwells directness I dont If anything sometimes I wish he would elaborate more on his feelings about a subject              Very useful wish there was an iPad version
I have been a serious photographer for 35 years and found the web page very helpful and to help I bought the app its worth it Kepp it up Pekn              d90 app review
A friend told me about a different Nikon app and I found this one along with it This app is easy to understand concise and extremely well written Definitely worth the money                 Lucky surprise
I thought this would be more informativeI have read a lot of your stuff and most has been pretty goodbut this was a waste of money     Linda
Short and useless Not even worth 99 cents     Disappointment
I read a few of the reviews and without opening the app felt that the donation was enough of a reason to buy it since I found his website and learned a few tips and tricks invaluable to making my event photography easier It made me excited to shoot again which is more value than the cost of any equipment or service It also boosted my confidence as I prepare to shoot an entire design competition worth of work                 Worth the cause
From the bottom of my heart thank you This has got to be one of the most considerate things you could have done for photographer newbies like myself I treasure this app Rockwell is seriously a brilliant and genuine dude                 Thank You
Im an amateur at photography and I have better lenses than the ones he recommends WTF This guy is full of bull I bet everything he says is the same whether its the D90 D40 D60 guide apps Do yourself a favor and dont get this app Not worth it even if it was free p     FAIL
It is a great app For all the D90 holders As any app it needs an update and price check but the truth is if you follow this app I am sure you will take great picks Cheers To all the D90 people and the app builders Juggie           A good Team D90 you and this app
Its ok The website of Ken Rockwell is much better Not worth the 5 Hopefully some information gets added and it can get 5 stars           D90
Too little information for this to be useful If you dont know what all functions are by heart than youve never used a DSLR I bought the Lantern ebook for 19 and I have the whole manual        Not enough to be useful
I agree with another commenter Its a useful app to have on hand if you are in an area with no signal to access rockwells website or dont want to tote the manual It does exactly what its supposed to do Teach you how to use the d90 In my book that makes it a good app To those that complain about the price try buying as thorough a user guide from a book store and see how much those cost              a useful supplement
I bought Kens handy app as a companion to his excellent website and the factory manual I wasnt expecting anything as indepth as his website or the manual and aligned my expectations accordingly for what I was getting I dont like toting around the manual and often shoot in areas where I dont get any signal and cant access the internet For 5 cmon squawkers thats a cup of coffee at Starbucks this app fills a niche quite nicely If youre looking for something above and beyond whats on Kens site or in the manual then straight up dont buy this app If youre like me a casual shooter who oftentimes loses his place on the camera and needs a quick point in the right direction this app should work for you The one criticism I have is that if you pop out of the app to answer a call or something like that when you come back to the app it returns to the main menu instead of remembering where you were Hopefully Ken will address this in an update As always just my 02 your mileage may vary                 Amateur Shutterbug
User friendly and full of information The best                 Worth 5
Great tool to have available to me when Im stuck in a rut and unsure of what to do Worth the 5 bucks              Worth the 5 bucks
Its great to have this info right in your pocket when taking photos Of course you can see all this for free on the web site but I dont pack a desktop computer with me everytime I take my camera Great app will be helpful for a rookie                 Instant info
Love having this handy for my D 90           Handy and Helpful
Bought the D40 app when that came out Super useful Upgraded to a d90 recently and couldnt wait for this app Yeah                 Awesome reference
Its a good start but it will be interesting yo see if Ken will maintain and enhance this app as opposed to taking our 5 bucks and never updating        Expected a Little More
It is poorly written and it has little useful information Most of what is written is just fluff I cannot recommend this app at any price     Not worth the money
Although it could be a more informative it is a great little field guide I bought it as an easy way to donate as I get so much information off the website                 Thanks Ken
This app is worth the five bucks if you accept it for what it is a very good little basic guide with a lot of handy tips for the novice If somebody wants a more extensive app about the D90 they should expect to pay more than 5 for it Its as simple as that And this basic guide is actually written in very easy to understand language Some of the elitist snobs commenting here should just lighten up and let ordinary people buy a basic app they can actually use and enjoy                 D90 owner
Buying this app is an easy way to thank and compensate Ken for his website which is a gem Thanks                 Thanks Ken
This app is nearly identical to Kens site but when out in the field and you want to look something up really quickly this is a GREAT tool Everything is right here with ease I do however think 499 is a stretch 299 and this app would be golden              Beats flipping through the D90 manual
thanks Ken for all the works           Just to say thanks
I was expecting an actual guide This was more like a recap of his overview of the D90 from his blog Save your money     Waste of
I have tried all the D90 guides including the 22 QuickPro guide and this is by far the best It has every control and menu function with tips on use You can view the camera from any angle and touch a button on the camera to get its explanation You can view the menus and select help for any function You can search and bookmark favorite titles It is better than the thick Nikon paper manual It is graphic and text oriented which I like much better than the expensive QuickPro which is just short videos                 Best D90 guide
Thanks Ken Its a good basic app and handy to use in the field Most of it I know by now but I bought the app anyway as a Thank You to Ken for all the helpful info on his website              Thanks Ken
Buy it use it take more picturesyou will like it                 Buy it
I would agree with Picroune not worth the price and no additional information than whats already available on Ken Rockwells website of which I too am a fan Hopefully Ken will update this app with more content with specific settings examples for some standard shooting environments that a newbie could use some help on to get started           Not worth 499
Ken Rockwell has a great website and pours a lot of great info into it I was really excited to see an app with his brand on it At 5 this overpriced app is a dissapointing lack of content or anything really new It could all be put on a little card and printed out Love ya Ken but this aint you        Just go to his website
Thank you A charm to navigate through                 Perfect
Funny helpful and interesting Awesome app                 Love it
I love my D90 and expect to improve my knowledge of them But I got just basic and worst illustration ever I seen Specially in section Controls your even cant recognize whats represent on a pictures     Average content worst illustrations
