It is a really fun game but it need to be next gen like NHL 15 or 16 like one guy said The goal horns are great but they need the songs If you really like hockey related game then I recommend this to you              Improve

I fully agree there should be a roster update but that doesnt take away from the fact that I loving the game from the previous version I do however think that there should be a GM Mode also as some reviewers have said I would like to build a team as you can in season mode but have the ability to watch the game without having to select a team You guys sorta had that option in the older version by bridling a team in season mode but having the choice of not selecting a jersey and watch a game That is something I did many times and enjoyed winning cups like that I believe that and the roster update are really good front liners that will improve the game as a start for the update which I too hope is soon Thank you              Pretty Good so far but

The game really is a good game it just crashes for me when I try to play season mode And in my career you should be able to play as a goalie But all in all its a decent game           Ehh

This is my first review ever as a Microsoft developer I have an idea of what a good game is I feel like this game and definitely NBA2K15 for iOS are both amazing games and they have outstanding graphics 2K has made these two apps as closely as they can to the real Xbox version and that is amazing Thank you 2k Birken Silitch                 Great Game

2K Sports please read this UPDATE THE ROSTERS In addition can you make season mode multi seasons like career mode because it gets so redundant playing the same season several times Also make the AI smarter because they cant deke or shoot or anything Lastly in season mode not only should you make it multiple seasons but the computer should at least MAKE TRADES and sign free agents I mean nobody makes trades and it gets so boring The computer doesnt make trades at all and doesnt offer any trades this is unrealistic so please update IMMEDIATELY since the new NHL season is coming soon           Update

Graphics are worse than the 2k12 version and the aesthetics are terrible Ex Same goal horn for every team no announcer in game modes same goal horn for every team among others Just a lack of effort by 2k     Poor effort

After loading the game on iPhone 6S plus the game is unplayable Cannot click on any of the buttons on main menu tried reinstalling but no luck Great game prior to upgrading phone Hope will be fixed     Unplayable

The game loads up fine to the load screen but then it freezes and doesnt respond after that     Game crashes

It would be better with all the goal horns PLEASE ADD THE GOAL HORNS LIKE NHL 2015 IT WOULD BE AWESOME Ill give it 5 stars then

NHL 2K is a fun game but needs lots of improvement to be as crisp as NHL 15 or 16 on the next gen consoles First of all graphics should be similar to NBAWWE 2K series esp the crowds wearing specific team shirts both home and away Next have extended Season Mode by adding better trade logic drafts injury news players retiring and coaching changes from EA Sports NHL series on the home screen of the game as headlines Fights need to be implemented as what ppl have mentioned to bring excitement to the game In addition add a new cover by replacing Alex Kesler of the Anaheim Ducks w Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price Please bring on a box score graphics from Fox Sports similar to Dallas Stars Anaheim Ducks St Louis Blues etc are using Finally bring in commentary as Dave Strader Daryl Reaugh or Drew Demenda Jeremy Roenick for the broadcasting crew All of those changes can bring a step forward of adding NHL 2K17 not only on mobile but on XBOX One PS 4 As Larry the Cable Guy says Git R Done              Needs Lots of Improvements

I think this game is not good is because when I pick my team on quick game it wont let me move over the arrow and the same thing is happening on my career     Horrible

Its a fun game works good most of the time glitches here and there Defensive men cant skate backwards and when you switch to one it glitches and the other team gets a breakaway Also I wish it had announces like nhl on x box and different arenas instead of the same one every game           Fun but could be better

This game is fun but there are a few issues first with gameplay the poke check is to slow and on face offs you dont even have to do anything sometimes just move forward and you get the puck now with career mode which is very fun and I have no complaints but next is season mode which I like but has a lot of problems when editing the lines and looking at the rosters the screen is just not good to looks at and whats the point of having a salary cap and contracts com into play in trades when its only one year and lastly why would you not allow us to play a Gm mode type mode which would be so much more fun              Good game

I enjoy this game and play it alot but i find myself getting very frustrated with it for a few reasons First theres a few bugs that are easy to fix and 2k refuses to fix them such as defencemen cant skate backwards when you want them to when you switch to a defencemen hel be skating backwards because of the AI but it turns him forward when you get him so he dose this stutter thing which causes lots of breakaways by the other team There is also almost no way to deke or dangle which DESPERATLY needs to be changed           Too many gameplay issues

This is a really fun game Career mode is much more forgiving than NBA 2K15 and is more enjoyable However it keeps deleting my save files for some reason So I say this to any 2K person reading this fix the game please Dont release a new game just fix this problem Make it stop uploading save files to iCloud because this seems to be the problem Do something please                 Good but keeps deleting my files

Ive played 2Ks NHL games since NHL 2K2 2001 on Dreamcast The 2K series was always more natural to me as it focused more on straightforward controls in comparison to EAs NHL I even continued playing their last NHL console release NHL 2K10 up until it was sold along with my PS3 last summer If anyone also held on to NHL 2K10 as long as I have youll definitely feel familiar with NHL 2K for iOS But make no mistake this game is a mobile title I base this review on an iPad Air 2013 running iOS8 with a SteelSeries Stratus MFI controller on the AllStar difficulty setting Theres a lot of fun to be had with NHL 2K The gameplay of the sport is well represented If you put enough pressure in the offensive zone eventually the computer will draw a penalty You can blast one in from the point and the puck will get redirected by a skilled forward or an errant skate Sometimes youll get a timely goal sometimes your goalie will let in a softie This is hockey and its a blast Here are the big issues though Saved rosters cannot be loaded into a new season only the defaults You can change the roster to reflect the current 20142015 trades and save it but when starting a new season it switches to the default roster You can only use a saved roster for Quick Play games Weak The game would have tremendous replay value if this werent an issue When finishing a season and playoff there is no continuation into the 1516 season Your just stuck with a finished team and will have to start a new save There are clearly functions programmed into the game that you cannot use I have seen the computer skate backwards block shots deke stick handle and dump the puck into the zone There appears to be no way to do any of those as a player This would add a lot of depth to the game Weird collision detection sometimes you grab for the puck sometimes you take possession and sometimes the computer grabs it before you The latter is normally the case The computer also gains an incredible amount of speed without momentum The puck is magnetic itll cling to the opponents stick and get precision tapetotape passes This doesnt work well as a player and it probably should be that way MFI Controls The game is great with an MFI controller I have the Steel Series Stratus However it doesnt seem like you can hold the turbo button and pass or shoot Additionally my only successful faceoffs have been by pressing both the pass and the shoot buttons even though the onscreen prompt tells you to pass to win a draw Presentation The graphics are somewhere between a PS1 and a PS2XBox The game has smooth textures and animation but very very low poly without lighting effects Theres tearing on the jersey numbers Cardboard cutout static audiences The models and animations appear to be reused from previous NHL 2K games There is sound effects to accompany play skates slicing through ice the crackling sound from a slapshot Sure its a mobile game But this is pathetic They CAN do better for mobile see NBA 2K15 or Madden 25 or look at Bioshock or Oddworld Strangers Wrath There is no reason this game should look this bad With all of its flaws NHL 2K is very close but so far away from a console experience Unfortunately there is no other choice if you want to play a true hockey sim on mobile That being said while the game plays fairly well and looks good for what it is pull your expectations a bit to what a mobile hockey game has to offer Looking ahead 2K could have a great game on their hands if they incorporated an inapp purchase of 5 for updated rosters yearly or even quarterly This would be in big contrast to EAs annual 60 roster update for their console titles If 2K was smart they would continue support for this title Unfortunately it seems like this is not the case as the last update was in December 2014              Console level hockey with flaws
